Knowing that if I can't find Cody now, I won't be able to find him until the next day. Sadly, I don't have that luxury, so I continue to look for Ralph since finding him may lead me to Cody. Groaning when I couldn't find either of the males. Hearing a sound, I turn invisible, and jump in the air so they wouldn't walk into me; Lexa and the other people from before were walking through the door, biting my lip to stop myself from snarling at them.
"Ugh, why can't I find my bloody brother?" Lexa complains.
"I don't know.", Liam says.
"How come your parents are making you do it and not a maid or butler?"
"I don't know Harriet, I really don't.", she says.
Once they leave the hallway, I land and come visible before walking towards the area they were just in; I dodge and weave through the maids and butlers as I keep an eye out for either Ralph or Cody.
"Ruthie, dear, I saw Cody near the throne room.", Mrs. Archer says.
Nodding my head, I jog over towards the throne room and see that only Ralph and Cody were the only ones there. Quietly sneaking behind both of them and kicking Cody in the middle of his back, then duck as Ralph swings his sword.
"So, why the fuck was it so hard to bloody find you?" I snap while crossing my arms.
"Sorry about that. What did you want to talk about?", he says, then asks.
"One, are our parents really that bitchy and entitled? Also, Lexa seems to plan something with Liam and Harriet. I'm not a hundred percent what it's on but I think it deals with our family.", I ask and explain.
"What do you have against princess Lexa?", Ralph snaps.
Raising an eyebrow before turning my attention towards Cody, which he just shrugs his shoulders; rolling my eyes at that, and open my mouth-
"Who are you? And why are you talking to the prince?"
Turning around, I see my father and mother. Tsking, I turn back towards Cody as I rolled my eyes and began walking away.
"He asked you a question! Answer him!" snapped the Queen.
I continue to walk when-
"I demand you to answer my questions."
Growling, I spin around and cross my arms.
"I was talking to 'prince' Cody because I bloody can. And I've already told you two who I am. It's not my fault your memory sucks.", I say sarcastically.
The king opens his mouth, but then a guard comes jogging towards the king and says,
"Sir, we're ready."
He nods his head as he holds his arm out for the Queen and they both walk away. Before I could do anything, Cody wraps his arm around my neck and whispers,
"That was bloody amazing, but very dangerous. Please be more careful. The last thing I need is you getting seriously hurt."
"We'll talk more after this, and I also want to introduce you to someone and then you can tell the both of us what Mrs. Elfling was saying about a goal you have.", he says while jogging off the same direction as our parents.
Holding back a groan, I walk towards where the maids and butlers are standing, heading towards Mrs. Elfling and Mrs. Archer just ask, the king speaks.
"Welcome, the kingdom of Tevelia. It's time to introduce the prince and princess of the kingdom."
"Please, give it up for prince Cody."
Leaning against the wall as everyone claps once Cody comes to where the queen he looks over at me and I nod my head then he turns his head towards the crowd as the king speaks again.
"Now, for your princess, princess Lexa."
Now, wanting to growl but Mrs. Elfling and Mrs. Archer both put their hands on me to keep me grounded not to cause unnecessary problems right now; nodding thanks to them as they give me a smile, I look up to see Lexa glaring at me. Making me smirk and raise an eyebrow at her as if challenging her to do something. Getting hit in the back of my head by Mr. Archer, I sheepishly give him a smile as he looks at me sternly. Gulping, I know he's not happy with me trying to instigate Lexa. Raising my hands, hoping that it would get him to see I will try nothing, but he just crosses his arms and gives me a knowing look. Groaning, I feel my eyes roll, crossing my arms and slouch slightly against the wall.
"Fine, I do nothing.", I groan out.
Nodding his head as a smile appears on his face as he kisses his wife's forehead. Smiling at them since most of the maids and butlers here, I see them more than a family than my actual family except Cody, of course. Speaking of Cody, I look up where they were to see Cody looking at me before using his eye to show me something. Following his eyes, noticing on the other side of the room was a female, with bright beautiful Rudy color eyes that pop with her golden-brown hair with pastel red highlights.
"Please socialize and we're come around to talk to everyone we can.", the king says.
After the king finishes talking, all the maids and butlers get work, except Mrs. Elfling and Mrs. Archer. They turn to me and say.
"Go socialize."
"And we better hear what you've done."
"Don't think just because we're working we won't ask Cody."
Staring at them in shock as they are making me social but knowing that they're dead serious, I nod my head before heading over towards the beautiful female that Cody showed me. Dodging and weaving people until I make it to the female just as Cody comes.
"Ruthie, you made it.", he says excitedly.
"Yeah, I wasn't really going to, but Mrs. Elfling and Mrs. Archer kinda made it impossible not to.", I state.
"That's fine, anyway I want to introduce my fiancé, Yuma.", he says.
"Pleasure to meet you.", I say, while holding my hand out.
"You as well, Cody hasn't really stopped talking about you.", she says.
Raising an eyebrow before side glancing at him, he rubs the back of his neck in embarrassment. Feeling slightly uncomfortable, Cody is the ice breaker;
"So, Mrs. Elfling told me you have a goal. Do you mind telling us what it is?"
"Well, I thought that since most of this kingdom doesn't trust a lot of their allies, even if they actually said they did.", I start.
"That's true, I notice that when I came into the kingdom.", Yuma states.
