"I'm sure I'll win today," Edric said while tying his hair.
"You can try if you can." His grandpa said.
Both of them took a fighting stance,
"You know the rule, right?"
"Yeah,"
Edric dash towards his grandpa,
"No weapons or skills are allowed," He said while throwing in punches.
His grandpa nodded while blocking his punches.
After blocking all the punches, his grandpa said
"This all you got,"
"I'm just getting started,"
His grandpa smiled,
"Are you some old car whose engine needs to warm up before you can drive it?"
After hearing his grandpa's words, Edric speeds up his move and uses his legs.

The two exchanged many blows.
Edric kicked his grandpa's lower abdomen, but his grandpa blocked the kick.
After his kick was blocked, he used his other leg to strike his grandpa in the head. While he was in mid-air, grandpa struck him.
Thud!
A blow to the stomach sent Edric flying on the ropes,
'Fuck,'
Before he could stand up, he got a kick in the face.
'Oh, shit,'
He avoided the kick by leaning on the rope.
"Safe,"
"Safe who? It's my time to attack" His grandpa said as he swung his fists.

Edric dodged and blocked most of the punches, but the ones that hit him. Those hurt a lot.
"They sure are having a good time,"
Outside of the ring, Alina sat on a chair and ate popcorn as she watched Edric and his grandpa spar,
Back to the fight,
His grandpa was punching him like he was punching the bag.
"What happened? Are you giving up, already?"
"No,"
'I have to find an opening,'
He tried to throw his grandpa off balance by kicking his leg,
Even though his grandpa didn't lose his balance, it gave him a little opportunity to attack.
Through that opening, he threw an uppercut with full force,

'I finally managed to land a hit,'
"Why are you smiling?" His grandpa said.
His grandpa blocked his uppercut.
"Impossible," Edric was dumbfounded. He took a few steps in shock.
That was his biggest mistake in this spar.
"The fight ends here,"
Due to the distance that Eric created, his grandpa could use his leg. His grandfather kicked him in the abdomen, which knocked him out of the ring.
"It's my catch," Alina announced as she sprinted to catch Edric.
"And catch taken," She caught Edric in her arms,
"Thanks, big sis."
"Your welcome, my sweet little brother," She said while putting him down.
"You fight well today," His grandpa said,
"Fight well, my ass. I still can't land a single blow on you, even after you matched your stats with mine,"
His grandpa was wearing a bracelet, which let him set his stats exactly how he wanted. When he fought Edric, he adjusted his stats to match Edric's.
"It's because of experience. I have a lot of battle experience, while you are just starting as a hunter."
His grandpa paused and resume,
"But, one thing we can say about you is that you will be the strongest hunter among the new hunters."
"Don't lie,"
His grandpa shook his head,
"I didn't lie, you can ask your sister,"
He glanced at Alina, feeling the graze. Alina nodded
"Grandpa is right,"
Hearing that, Edric had a smile.
Seeing his smile, his grandpa said,
"Don't smile, you still have a long way to go before becoming a high-rank hunter,"
"You sure know how to ruin a person's mood," Edric said annoyed,
"And don't forget, no matter what rank you have, you still have to level up,"
"Yeah, I know,"
"Go take a shower, you are going to the hunter association with your big sister." His grandpa said.
"You're not coming with us,"
"Nah, I have other work to do," His grandpa shook his head.

After half an hour,
Edric came out from his room, wearing a black hoodie with a light blue color design on it, with a black mask.
"Are you ready?"
"Yup,"
He looked around,
"Where is mom?"
"She had something to do, so she left when you were taking a shower,"
"Oh,"
"Shall we go?"
"Yeah,"
They left the house.

After half an hour,
Edric was standing before a white marble, while Alina and the examiner were standing beside him.
"Please put your hand on the marble," The examiner said,
Edric nodded and put his hand on the marble.
As Edric began to pour the mana, the screen in the room started to show numbers,

Seeing that, the examiner got dumbfounded. This had never happened before. That was the first time an error had occurred.
Seeing the screen, Alina asked,
"Is the machine malfunctioning?"
"No, it can't be,"
"So, why-"
Before she could finish speaking, she heard a cracking noise.

When they realized what was causing the noise, both of their eyes became like sausages. Especially, the examiner who looked as if he had lost his soul,
As Edric pulled his hand, he could see the crack in the marble.
Seeing this, he said,
"I'm sorry,"
When the examiner didn't respond, Edric called him.
"Mister,"

After hearing, Edric's words, the examiner got out of his daze,
"Ah, I have to tell this to the higher-ups,"
After saying that, the examiner dashed out of the room.
Edric tilted his head,
"What was that?"
He looked at his sister, who was also staring at him with sparkling eyes,
"Why are you looking at me like that?" He nervously asked.
"Join my guild," She said,
"No," He instantly replied.
"Why? It's because of grandpa," She asked with narrowed eyes.
"Yup,"
"Forget about everything he said and join my guild,"
"Nope, can't do that,"
While Alina tries to convince Edric to join her guild, A few people enter the room.
Seeing them, Alina stopped talking.
"So, you're Orson's grandson," An old man said. He had white hair with a short beard. He was wearing a black suit with a red tie. A dominating aura surrounded him.
"Yeah,"
"That damn monster had a monster grandson," He sighed,
"I'm Macsire Janvier, President of Hunter Association and a close friend of your grandpa," The old man introduced himself.
"I'm Edric Dukas,"
Macsire looked at Alina,
"You already know why I came here, right?"
Alina only nodded.
"Let me congratulate you on becoming the 15th S-rank hunter of this country and also the youngest."
Hearing his words, Edric had a shocked look. He looked at Alina to confirm that he had heard right.
"You are now an S-rank hunter,"
"But isn't there still one test left before I get my rank?" He asked.
"That's what usually happens, but you're an exception."
"This test was designed to determine whether a person could survive in a dungeon or not,"
"As for you, you can survive any F and E rank dungeon solely relying on your magical abilities,"
"Therefore, you don't need to take the test,"
"So, I'm now an S-rank hunter,"
"Yeah,"
"Here your hunter license,"
Macsire gave Edric his license.
After getting the license in his hand,
"When can I enter the dungeon?"
"Whenever you like,"
