Chereads / Hell Shifter / Chapter 15 - C- Rank Dungeon

Chapter 15 - C- Rank Dungeon

Eric was lying on the bed, looking at the ceiling.

"I want to go in a dungeon but I can't use Flame Eagles dungeons,"

"If I keep raiding dungeons under her guild, she may damage her reputation for helping a non-guild member while leaving her guild members behind."

"But if I join her guild, I can raid as many dungeons as I like,"

He shook his head,

"No, I can't join her guild."

"What should I do?"

After pondering for a while, a thought occurred to him,

He got up and started looking for something in his room. After turning the room into a mess, he finally found a card.

"Here it is."

Edric was holding a black card. He had received it from the Hunter Association's President.

He wore a blue hoodie and a mask before leaving the room.

As he got down the stairs, he said to his mom, who was sitting on a couch reading a book.

"I going outside,"

"Where are you going?"

"Association,"

"Why-"

Before his mother could ask anything, Edric had already left.

After half an hour,

Edric was standing in front of the reception.

"Please wait," The woman behind the desk said.

She contacted the President's office.

"Hello,"

"Sir, Hunter Edric wants to meet you,"

"Please send him to my office,"

"Yes, sir,"

After putting the phone down, she said.

"You can go,"

He nodded and got in the elevator.

After getting out of the elevator,

He walked to the office and knocked on the door,

*knock*

*knock*

"Come in,"

Edric opened the door and entered the office.

The first thing he noticed was a beautiful lady with purple hair and green eyes standing beside the president's desk in a black office suit. She had a beautiful hourglass figure with big breasts and a big ass.

"Welcome, Hunter Edric." President greeted him.

Edric responded with a nod.

"Please take a seat,"

Edric sat down.

"May I ask why you came to see this old man?" Macsire asked with a smile.

"You already know why,"

Hearing his words, Macsire said,

"So, what's your offer?"

'What are they talking about?'

The lady, standing next to his desk, has a puzzled expression on her face.

"80%"

"80%?"

"If you grant me permission, then the association can keep 80% of the monster stones and corpses from my raids,"

"What?" Macsire and the lady both exclaim at the same time.

"However, if I find an artifact or a magic book in the dungeon, it will be mine,"

"So, how do you feel about the offer?" Edric said while looking at Macsire.

After pondering for a few minutes, the president asked,

"This offer, why didn't you give it to the Fire Eagles? I'm sure they'll agree to it."

"Think of it as part of my plan," Edric said with a smile.

"Plan, huh"

"Interesting,"

Macsire smiled,

"I will draft a one-year contract and send it to your house."

Edric nodded his head and stood up,

"I will take my leave,"

"What is the rush? Have some coffee with this old man,"

"Maybe next time,"

Edric began to head toward the door; as he was near the door,

"One more thing,"

He turned back, withholding his hunter license in his hand,

"Can I get a fake ID? This thing is so heavy to handle."

"I will try. What rank do you need?"

"Maybe a C- rank,"

"I understand,"

"Oh!"

"Is there anything else?"

"Nah, it's just that I didn't know the name of that beautiful lady next to me,"

"She is Myra Janvier, my secretary."

"See you again, Miss Myra," Edric said as he left the office.

"He seems to be interested in you,"

--------

A few days later,

Edric was sitting at his desk reading a book when he received a message on his phone.

Upon seeing the message, he had smiled,

"It's about time,"

The message was from the association informing about the next raid.

"Tomorrow, I will be entering a C-rank dungeon,"

---------

Next day,

After completing his daily routine, Edric was ready to leave the house. As usual, he was wearing a black and blue hoodie with a mask.

When he was leaving, his mom approached him,

"Eddie,"

He looked at his mom, who had an uneasy look on her face.

"What happened?"

"It's just... don't go into a dungeon today."

"Why?" He asked with a confused face.

It was the first time his mother told him not to go into the dungeon.

"I feel uneasy about your dungeon raid,"

Hearing her words, he smiled,

"You're just worried since it's my first C-rank dungeon."

"It's not—"

Before she could say, Edric said.

"Nothing is going to happen and even if it does, I am not alone this time. I have people by my side."

"I know that, but I can't get rid of this unease,"

"Don't worry,"

He hugged her.

"So, promise me that you will come home safe," She said.

"Okay, if it makes you feel better,"

"I promise that I will return home no matter what happens."

Upon hearing his words, she felt somewhat relieved, but she couldn't shake off her unease.

"I have to get going or I will be late,"

She nodded her head.

"Be safe,"

He nodded and left the house.

-----------

When they were near the dungeon, he got out of the car. He didn't want to draw attention to himself by riding in a luxurious car.

"I'll walk from here,"

"As your wish, young master." The driver said and drove back.

Upon walking a short distance, he saw reporters and other people gathered around the dungeon gate like ants surrounding a sugar piece.

"What?"

As he got closer, he saw Myra standing beside some hunters. He approached her,

"We meet again, Miss Myra."

"Oh, Hunter Edric, you're here," She said with a smile.

"Why are there so many reporters here?"

"It's because this is the first C-rank raid for the son of the Reaper guild master."

"Reaper guild?"

Reaper guild is the second-largest guild after Fire Eagles. They have two S-rank hunters with many A-rank hunters.

"Yeah, it's a joint raid with Reaper guild,"

"Oh, how many members are in the team?" Edric asked.

"Including you, there are seven members,"

"One A-rank, One B-rank, four C-rank, and one D-rank,"

She included Edric in four C-ranks.

"One A-rank? Isn't this overkill?" Edric raised an eyebrow.

"An A rank hunter in a C-rank dungeon,"

"It's for safety measures, the dungeon gate is inhabited by orcs, so this is going to be difficult compared to other C-rank dungeons," Myra replied.

"And we can't take the chance of putting Reaper guild master's son at risk."

"Then what about me?" Edric pointed to himself.

"The president said you can handle any dangerous situation," She said with a smile.

"Sigh,"

'That old man,'

"Ah, are you free tomorrow, Miss Myra?" Edric asked.

"May I ask the reason for your question?"

"I just wanted to treat you to dinner," Edric said with an embarrassed expression, but thanks to his mask Myra couldn't see it.

Hearing that, Myra smiled,

"On what occasion do you want to treat me to a meal?"

"For helping me to get this license and dungeon raid,"

"If that's the case, you should treat the president to dinner instead of me."

"Having dinner with an old man is no fun at all." He mumbled.

"What did you say?" She asked.

"Nothing. If you don't want to go, that's okay too."

A luxurious car stopped some distance away from the gate. A young man with black hair and red eyes came out of the car alongside a middle-aged man. Both the middle-aged man and the young man had the same hair and eye colors.

The middle-aged man was Reaper Guildmaster Travis Nicholls and beside him was his son Ulric Nicholls.

A man approached Myra. he was wearing heavy armor with a large shield.

"Miss Myra, Reaper guild master, and his son are here,"

She nodded her head.

"I'm Jenson, the leader of the raiding party," The man said with a smile. He seemed to have a joyful nature.

"I'm Edric. I will be in your care,"

"I will also be in your care," The man said and left.

As Myra was leaving, she said,

"I'll text you when I'm free,"

When Edric heard her words, he was overjoyed from the inside but tried to remain calm from the outside.

'I can't believe,'

'I'm going to dinner with Miss Myra.'

'I'm going to dinner with Miss Myra.'

'Clam down,'

'Clam down.'

He began to take long, deep breaths.

Meanwhile, the reporters went crazy after seeing Ulric and bombarded him with questions.

"Sir, how are you feeling about your first C-rank dungeon raid?"

"Are you nervous?"

"How confident are you that this raid will succeed?"

But he ignored them,

'What so good about him? He only a B-rank hunter,"

Edric was confused as to why the reporters were so loud.

"Welcome, Sir Travis and Hunter Ulric. I am in charge of this dungeon," Myra welcomed them.

Travis only nodded and looked at other party members while Ulric stared at Myra's body with greedy eyes.

Seeing that, Edric narrowed his eyes,

"That bastard," A girl who stood some distance from Edric.

He turned and looked at the girl. She had beautiful pale skin, shoulder-length blue hair, and blue eyes.

"And he is the team leader of the raiding party."

"Hello, I'm Jenson, It's an honor to meet you," Jenson extended his hand for a handshake, but Ulric continued to stare at Myra.

"You know kid, when you get respect from someone older than you, you also respect them," Jenson said with a smile.

When he heard his words, Ulric looked at Jenson and was about to say something but stopped when he felt his aura.

"You should take it easy, he's just a child," Travis said.

"Just a child, huh" Jenson snorted while looking at Travis.

"You guys brought these people here…." He pointed toward the reporters,

"And came late. You should be grateful that I'm allowing your son to enter this dungeon." Jenson said with a serious face.

"Hahaha, you haven't changed after all this time."

"So, you're."

"Let's stop wasting time and head to the dungeon."

After saying that, Jenson came to other party members,

"Guys, we're head in," He said with a smile; the friendly Jenson was back.

"Dad, why didn't you do anything?" he asked with an annoyed expression, seemingly displeased by Jenson's behavior.

"He is not someone you should mess with"

Edric, who watched it all, got a good impression of Jenson.

'This guy is something else,'

All of them began to head inside the dungeon.

"Let's have a good hunt,"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

Edric and others had a smile on their faces, unaware of the danger ahead of them.
