Chereads / Hell Shifter / Chapter 13 - First Dungeon Raid

Chapter 13 - First Dungeon Raid

"Sigh, aren't you a little overexcited?"

"Maybe,"

"But why are you annoyed?"

"Because of a certain someone, I wouldn't be able to go on a date."

Edric was in disbelief as he heard her words.

"You have a boyfriend? That's something I haven't heard of before."

"Why're you so shocked? Can't I have a boyfriend?" She narrowed her eyes.

"Well, you can."

"Is your boyfriend aware that you are the Witch of Flames?" Edric asked.

"Yeah,"

Edric still couldn't believe that his sister had a boyfriend.

"Big sis, are you sure he loves you and that you are not forcing him to be your boyfriend."

"Why you little–"

*Thud*

She hit Edric on the head.

"For your information, it was he who first asked me."

"Does that guy have a cracked brain or something?" He mumbled,

"What did you say?"

"I said we should hurry because I don't want to let my sister miss her date,"

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah,"

Edric and Alina were standing in front of an F- rank dungeon.

"Are you sure about this?"

"From the moment you step into this hell, you will never be able to escape it."

"You know, big sis, I read somewhere that Damaged people are dangerous. They know how to make hell like home."

*Thud*

"Ow!Ow!"

Alina hit Edric.

"You aren't damaged nor do you need to make hell your home since you already have one."

After a few seconds,

"Shall we go?"

Edric began to walk into the dungeon, but Alina grabbed his collar.

"Do you even have a weapon to fight with?"

"I have,"

Edric brought a dull sword from his inventory. Seeing the sword Alina said, "Are you going to use that?"

"Yup,"

"But it's so dull,"

Edric smiled,

"Don't be fooled by its appearance, it can still cut through an orc's skin."

Hearing his words, her eyes widened,

"That sword can cut through an ogre's skin?"

"That's right,"

"I don't believe this,"

"You'll see once I hunt down the gnoll,"

"Let's see. You arrogant brat,"

Saying that Alina, walking into the dungeon gate. Edric also followed behind her,

Inside the dungeon, everything was so dark that it was hard to see anything.

"It's so dark,"

Alina used her flame to light up the dungeon.

When the flame lit up the cave, they could see the cave and the mana stone that lay on the ground.

"GRR!"

"GGR!"

"Here they are,"

A pair of gnolls stood ahead of them.

Gnolls are feral, hyena-headed humanoids that attack without thinking. They usually carry a longsword and have a dark vision that allows them to hunt their prey in the dark.

The gnolls in front of them had greenish-gray fur and green eyes that glowed in the dark.

"Hey, big sis, how long does it take to clear an F-rank dungeon?"

"It's around 1-2 hours, by a five-member party."

"That's a lot."

"20 minutes,"

"20 minutes?" Alina tilted her head.

"I will clear this dungeon in 20 minutes,"

The next moment, Edric was in front of a gnoll.

*Slash*

The gnoll was cut in half before he realized what had happened.

Seeing his friend sliced in half, the other gnoll took a few steps back.

'That sword can really cut,'

A strange feeling arose in Edric when he cut the gnoll.

'What is this weird feeling?'

Seeing Edric staring blankly, the gnoll swung his sword.

*Slash*

Before the gnoll sword reached Edric, he stabbed the gnoll in the heart.

"Let's focus on hunting,"

Edric began to head deep in the cave.

[Level up]

After ten minutes,

He killed more than half of the gnolls that were in the dungeon and also figured out what that strange feeling was. The feeling he was having was a thrill. The thrill of taking a life, the thrill of seeing blood, and the thrill of hearing screams. Basically, he was turning into a psycho.

"This so much fun,"

[Level up]

"I want more,"

Edric was mumbling as he killed the gnolls.

"More,"

[Level up]

"More,"

After all the gnolls had died, Edric stood in the middle of their crops, with red eyes.

"More,"

"More,"

When Alina realized something was wrong, she called him out while she was lighting the cave.

"Eddie!"

"Eddie!"

"Hey, are you listening to me?"

Hearing his sister's voice, Edric came back to his senses, his eyes turned back to normal. He looked down at the ground.

"Who did this?" He asked.

"You did this, "

'I did this?'

He raised his eyebrows,

'What happened to me?'

"Don't you remember killing them?"

"Of course. I do. It's just that I was checking whether you were watching me or not,"

'I shouldn't tell big sister about this,'

"Are you really alright?" she asked worriedly,

"Yeah, I'm fine,"

"And shouldn't you be on your way to your date?"

"Yeah, you're right."

"Now, with all the gnolls killed, I don't need to stay."

"I'm going first. Remember, you need to leave the dungeon within 30 minutes,"

"Yeah, I know,"

"Status window,"

In the office of the Hunter Association President,

"Sir, why didn't you ask him to join the association?" Macsire's secretary asked.

"He would reject my offer," Macsire said calmly.

"How do you know?"

"Because of his eyes,"

"Eyes?"

"He has the eyes of someone who desires freedom, so you can't restrict him. And don't you think Alina is more eager to get him in her guild than we are?"

He paused and said afterward with a smile,

"He will visit us in the future,"

"Why?"

Macsire looked at her secretary,

"You'll know when he comes,"

Hearing his words, she had a peculiar expression on her face.

"Orson, that old man, he had one hell of a bloodline."

"His elder granddaughter is an S-rank hunter, his son, daughter-in-law, and younger granddaughter are A-rank hunters, and now have a monster that exceeds S-rank potential."

——

"He is a monster that no one has ever seen before. He is more of a monster than Thunder God." Edric's grandpa said.

Somewhere in the city, Orson was sitting at a table with other powerful people.

"More of a monster than Thunder God?" A beautiful lady raised her eyebrows.

"You're exaggerating," A middle-aged man said,

"I'm not exaggerating, he learned sword will in only three years."

"Sword will? That kid knows the sword will?" Another middle-aged man was shocked.

"Yeah," Orson nodded.

"You have one hell of a grandson." An old man said.
