Chapter 5 - NEVER THINK OF GOING

There was nothing she could do but follow what the man had just said. Mara took a deep breath before finally smiling. She felt a little better after hearing that.

"Don't worry too much about it, I'm sure that Via agreed and not based on coercion from Aldera."

"Yes, I understand, my husband."

"Hm ... I miss you," said John smiling. "When am I going home, huh? There's been so much trouble at the Company lately that I can't go home quickly."

"No problem, for now just focus on your work and I will continue to do my duty as your wife."

John immediately chuckled after hearing what the woman had just said. The man nodded his head for a moment before finally turning his head to the side where the door opened and a familiar girl had just entered the room.

"Via?" he said with raised eyebrows. "You're finally here, honey."

Because all this time John had not ended his conversation with Mara so the woman heard what her husband had just said.

Now Mara's eyes widened when she heard her daughter came to the Company made her feel calmer now.

"What? Via has come there?"

"Hm ... Via just came," replied John smiling who was still looking at his daughter. "Oh, yeah, I'm talking to mom, you should talk to her first. Here I give you my phone."

"Okay, thanks, Dad." Via smiled crookedly before finally accepting the phone that was given to her and then said, "Then I'll talk to her first, okay."

John also nodded his head while smiling at the departure of his daughter who had just left the room.

This is where Via is currently located. The girl was behind the door with the phone in her hand. For a moment she stared at the screen of her phone and then sighed before she decided to start a conversation with her mother.

"Hello, Mom."

"Honey, are you okay?! Where have you been? I'm really worried that you're not with Dad."

The girl who heard it immediately smiled as she lowered her head before finally speaking again.

"Sorry, I didn't tell you ahead of time. But, you should have heard it from Dad, right?"

"Yes, I've heard it from your dad, Honey."

Then the moment was quiet again because Via, who is currently suddenly lowering her head with teary eyes. As if there was something she wanted to say, but she couldn't say it so she could only cry silently.

"Via," called Mara. "Are you still there?"

"Y-yes, Mom. I'm here, what's wrong?"

Mara who heard that took a deep breath before finally smiling sadly.

"Well, you better help Dad now, okay. Mom has to take care of Prince, he just woke up."

"Hm... yes, Mom."

The call had ended with Via who immediately sighed before finally shedding tears. The girl was currently crying during her encounter with someone she had wanted to meet for a long time, but he...

Via couldn't seem to remember what she had seen today. If time could be turned back, then the girl would refuse Aldera's invitation to leave.

But everything had already happened so all she could do for now was to just bury what she had just seen today.

In the room, John was still waiting for his favorite daughter until finally, the door opened, and there the man saw Via who had just entered the room.

"Honey, have you finished talking to your mom?"

Via who heard it immediately nodded her head with a faint smile before finally returning to continue her steps toward her father.

"Alright, come on over here and sit down."

"Hm ..." Via began to sit right next to her father with her eyes that had never left her gaze on the man, making John who realized it immediately sighed with one hand that was now rubbing the top of her daughter's head.

"Why are you looking at Dad like that, hm?" asked John. "Like you have something to say."

"Dad, if tomorrow I go somewhere will you allow me?"

"Of course, Daddy can ask the driver to accompany."

Hearing that made Via immediately smile before finally nodding her head for a moment.

"Thank you, Dad."

"You're welcome, Honey. Where are you going?"

"I don't know."

The man who was looking at several documents in front of him immediately fell silent before finally turning to the side where his daughter was.

"Whatever your problem, don't even think about leaving us, Honey. Mom and Dad will try to understand you. If you're leaving because you want to calm down, then go. I won't stop you."

Without realizing it, Via's tears were dripping, making John who saw it immediately smile before finally bringing the girl into his arms.

"I don't want to see you cry like this, Via. Because every time I see you, I will feel guilty. Your wound must heal, and we will both try to heal the wound."

She won't know what to say again Via when she heard what her father had just said to her.

The girl lowered her head with both hands trying to wipe away the tears that were falling non-stop.

In contrast to John, who is currently only silently lamenting his sad daughter, the man sighed.

He was also sad to see his daughter like this, he remembered the first time he met two women who were so meaningful in his life.

However, John's sadness had to be covered up because he didn't want Via to see him like that. He must provide support for his daughter, moreover, he and Mara have been blessed with a son who is Via's younger brother.

"Daddy, I'm sorry if Via has been causing you trouble."

"No, Via. You don't make me feel difficult at all, don't ever think that you are the source of our trouble. As a father, of course, I would do anything for his daughter, especially your mother. She will do as I did."

"Thank you, Dad. I'm glad that you're finally back. Now my happiness is even greater when I know that Mom and Dad are back together. There's nothing happier than having a complete family."

John smiled, the man saw his daughter who was crying again, making him wipe Via's tears. He loves this one girl with so much sincerity, that his daughter's struggle to heal from mental wounds slowly begins to improve after years.

"You should be happy, my daughter."
