Chapter 9 - MEET ANNA AT NIGHT

Since then Via did not understand his father, because the man almost every day always told about a man who he thought was worthy of being his companion so the girl who knew it immediately sighed.

"Never mind, you should just do what dad wants. Do you want to disappoint him?"

"But, Mom, I just had a feeling that dad was trying to get me closer to the person he was talking about."

"If that's the case, then why? Just so you know, Via. Mother is also very happy if there is someone who can take care of you."

"I still have Aldera and my other best friends, Mom."

One of Mara's eyebrows immediately rose after hearing what her daughter just said so that now the woman folded her arms across her chest.

"Aldera?" she said surprised. "You don't usually say his name. Did something happen?"

"Nothing, Mom. Okay, I'll just go back to my room."

"But I'm not done talking to you, Honey."

Mara saw her daughter who continued to walk up the stairs without caring about what she had just said, so now she who knew about it immediately sighed for a moment, and then she shook her head instantly.

On the other hand, at this time Via, who had just closed the bedroom door, immediately sighed a position leaning against the door. Her eyes were closed as he thought about what had happened to her parents the last few days.

"I don't want to get married yet, even ... for a couple I don't feel like thinking about it. Oh come on, why did things turn out like this?"

The girl rubbed her face for a moment before finally stepping foot to approach her bed and then lay there with her eyes up looking up at the sky of her room with various thoughts racing.

"Actually ... there is only one man who can make me not want to open my heart to others, but ---never mind, forget it. You should be able to forget all those memories, Via. You better focus now on what you want. aspired from a long time ago. Yes, that's right, I certainly can!"

After that Via immediately pulled the blanket to cover her body up to her neck before finally starting to close her eyes with her lips forming a smile.

From outside the room, Mara, who was about to open the door, immediately gave up when she felt that it seemed her daughter needed some time alone so the woman was currently heading back downstairs.

"Honey, I'm home!"

The voice of someone she knew so well made Mara who was walking down the stairs smile when she found out that her husband had just come home from work, so the woman immediately stepped closer before finally hugging the man tightly.

"Mara, you haven't slept yet?" David asked with raised eyebrows. "Didn't I tell you that you don't have to wait for me to come home?"

"I can't because I think you'll need me once you get home."

John who heard that immediately smiled before finally kissing his wife's forehead lovingly.

"Where are the children?"

"Prince sleeps in the bedroom," replied Mara smiling. "Via ... she ..."

Feeling that there was something strange with his wife, John's eyebrows immediately raised after hearing what someone in front of him had just said, so the man took a deep breath before finally speaking again.

"What's wrong with Via?" he asked. "Did something happen to her?"

"It seems ... she doesn't like it because you always talk about your friend's son."

Hearing that made John immediately sigh for a moment before finally turning his head to where his daughter's room was.

"Did you guys fight over this?" the man asked. While Mara who heard it immediately lowered her head with a listless face before finally taking a deep breath.

"Well, let me talk to her later," John continued. "We'd better go to our room now."

On the other hand at this time a man had just finished his work. He saw the screen of his phone that was lit up so that he who knew it immediately checked it.

It turned out that there were several incoming messages from Anna, which made Van, who knew about it, immediately sighed.

Anna: Van, where are you now?

Van: I'm still in the office.

Anna: Why aren't you home yet?

Anna: It's late, Honey.

Seeing that made Van chuckle for a moment before finally shaking his head. The man returned to reply to the girl's chat message with a sweet smile.

Van: I just finished my work, I'll be home soon.

Anna: Alright, see you tomorrow.

The man's smile slowly disappeared and was replaced with a strangeness after seeing the reply to the chat message from Anna made him think. Even though it was just an ordinary reply, for some reason there seemed to be something different about the girl so Van who knew about it immediately got up from his oversized chair and took his phone and other valuables as well as a coat draped on the chair, then rushed out of the room.

"Did something happen to Anna?" Van muttered. "Why does she feel a little different?"

In the end, the man decided to quickly get into the car, then run the engine before finally speeding away from his father's company area.

Now Van was on his way to a residence where he could meet his fiancée so now he increased his driving speed before he could finally see the luxurious house that was familiar to him.

After that, he pulled the car over, then he tried to call Anna's phone number, which turned out to be inactive, making Van worried.

"Anna, why aren't you answering the phone?" muttered the man as he paced back and forth with one hand holding his forehead. "Come on, please answer me, Anna."

It had been many times but not a single call was connected so the man had no other choice but to ring the bell in front of him right now. Only then was the sound of footsteps getting closer and closer before the door finally opened and a middle-aged woman he had known all along.

"Good evening, Auntie. Is Anna inside?"

"Oh, sure. It looks like Anna is in the room."

"May I meet her for a moment, Auntie?"

Hearing that made the woman immediately nod before finally inviting Van to enter her house first before the man finally saw Anna's mother who had just left to call the girl.

He waited for a long time, and finally, someone he was looking for had come, making Van who had been waiting anxiously for a while, stood up from his seat and approached Anna, who was currently smiling at him.

"Anna?!"
