"You cannot do this!! I won't let you!!", yelled Head Magician Shoù.
"You won't let me?", sneered Dì Xié Liàng. He laughed mockingly at the mix-matched group of so-called upholders of justice. "Well since you won't let me, why haven't you stopped me then?", he jeered, sarcasm oozing out of every syllable.
"Liang-ge, please. Don't do this", softly begged Princess Ròng Lè.
"And give me a good reason why I shouldn't", stated Dì Xié Liàng. He stared at Ròng Lè as she lowered her head, biting her lips as she searched for a reason. Waiting for her to realise the pointlessness of this task.
Why shouldn't he complete what he had set out to do?
Why shouldn't he finish it?
This world, with all its creatures and resources, have nothing to offer him. He despised it. He loathed seeing it. And in order not to see it anymore, he will get rid of it.
Thinking back, maybe the people had been right. Maybe he was a cursed child. An abomination. An evil entity sent by Xié'è de shàngdì to destroy this world. And if that's the reason why his life has been so pathetic and miserable, not even given a chance, even since birth, to prove that he was not evil; then evil he shall be.
And what better way than to destroy the world that brought him so much pain?
Dì Xié Liàng's eyes darkened at the thought, the memories stirred up his resentment and hatred, and the tiny black ball in the middle of his palm became darker, its darkness seeming to ooze from its center. Wanting to engulf everything around it.
Princess Jîa Ròng Lè, seeing this, her eyes widened in fear and face filled with panic, screamed the first thing that came to mind: "I love you!"
The entire area fell silent.
All the soilders and cultivators stared at her wide-eyed.
Her father looked at her with a mix of confusion and understanding.
Whilst Jîa Ròng Lè's heart filled with indignation and horror at the thought, the only thing that plagued her mind was that she did not want to die. She must do everything she can to prevent herself from dying. Who cares about the world? Who cares about her father and their people? Right now she only cared about her safety and life damnit! She did not want to die!!
She looked at Dì Xié Liàng. Trying to make her eyes seem truthfull, inlove and full of hope.
They stared at each other for a full minute. The whole world seem to be holding its breath.
Suddenly, Dì Xié Liàng began to laugh. His laugh sounded so full of contempt and hatred it made a persons heart clench in fear.
The Head Magician, seeing the princesses plan falling to pieces, launched an attack from a few li away. The other cultivators and emperial soldiers, seeing this, attacked as well.
Dì Xié Liàng slowly looked at them. His face filled with unmasked disgust. He concentrated all his spiritual energy and essence into the dark sphere. Once it blackened to its utmost capacity, from his hundred metre height in the air, he turned his hand over. Watching the sphere fall to the ground as in slow motion.
Seeing this, Princess Ròng Lè screamed in terror. A few cultivators tried to prevent the sphere from reaching the land. But it was as if the sphere was fall-proof. No amount of physical, magical or spiritual attacks worked. It was more like the sphere refracted it.
The colour drained out of everyone's faces.
Dì Xié Liàng, who was previously attacked, didn't even try to dodge or protect himself. It was like he welcomed death. Falling to his oblivion with a smile on his face, bleeding from every orfice. And the moment he hit the ground; was the moment the sphere was absorbed into the earth.
The land began to tremble violently. Visible cracks became prominent over every area. Panicked Sapiens and Cultivators fled in all directions. Thinking of only protecting themselves from danger. The cracks became more plentiful. The tremors more violent and frequent. Animals, creatures and beasts alike ran in a rush. Trampling any that gets in their way of avoiding danger.
Dì Xié Liàng, left alone in the deserted barren land of a fallen kingdom from long ago, smiled in peace. "Break", he whisphered softly, like a lover comforting their beloved.
And the once bustling and vibrant planet, filled with lush vitality, shattered into millions of tiny rocks and debris, casted out into the vast universe.
