Opening his eyes to see a completely blue sky with no clouds in sight.
'This is a really weird dream', he thought as he closes his eyes, going back to sleep.
Screech-
Jiàng Shèn jumped up from the loud sound of an animal roaring. The noises from all over assaulted his ears, he felt the wind brush his skin, and the other senses absorbed their surroundings rapidly. Processing and sending the information straight to Jiàng Shèn's brain.
Eyes wide opened in disbelief, he looked around his surrounding to realise that he was no longer on his bed, in his bedroom, but in a....forest?!
And it was not any forest that he has seen on tv on his lazy days procastina-uh-working, but an ancient-looking forest filled with huge green trees and colourful flowers! And he can see a fog like smoke? coloured-thing just drifting through and from everything! In various colours, thick and small, heavy and almost transparent, some vigorous and some mild/docile.
'What is...going on? Where....- '
Jiàng Xìang Shèn' s thought was disrupted as a loud thumping could be heard from close by. He felt the vibrations of the earth and his heart beat trembled along with it. Some fear of the unknown flooding his system.
He stood frozen in place, head steering in one direction fixatedly. The thumping got louder and louder. The sound seeming closer and closer, as if to appear and flatten him at any moment. Jiàng Xìang Shèn's heart beats faster and faster, seeming to want to burst out of his chest,.
Then his eyes opened extremely wide just to see a huge ferocious beast appear from behind the trees a few li away. It's body a huge monstrous size with ginormous legs, running straight towards Jiàng Xìang Shèn's direction. Seemingly paralyzed with fear, Jiàng Shèn stared in the direction of the beast for a few seconds before his brain processed the fact that the thing was coming towards him.
Out of nowhere he found the strength to run in the opposite direction. Running faster and faster. Fleeing in zig-zag patterns in a panic, not knowing where he is going. Jiàng Shèn made sharp lefts and sharp rights, running and running, faster and faster, his breathing ragged and out of control, but the beasts seem to be catching up. Seems closer and closer. And just when Jiàng Shèn felt like he was about to die, he turned around to look at the beast when out of nowhere, a Brilliant Blue Light erupted from his body and hit the beast a few metres away from him.
Jiàng Shèn froze in shock. Not processing what was happening. The beast seemed dizzy from the hit. But then got up and just shook his body as if to brush it off. The Beast seems more furious and Jiàng Xìang Shèn got more panicked seeming to reach a dead end.
Just as the Beast was about to charge, out of nowhere a quick flash of light hit the Beast and a huge thud was heard. Jiàng Xìang Shèn froze in fear and opened his eyes that he didn't know when it was closed and looked in the direction of the Beast. There he saw the monster split into two, red blood flowing out of his body not knowing when it had died.
Jiàng Xìang Shèn looked around in bewilderment just to see a man coming out from the behind some clusters of trees. The man looks seriously wounded walking staggeringly on his feet. He held a long sharp silver sword in his hand glinting in the sunlight pointing it shakingly at Jiàng Shèn. The man looks at Jiàng Shèn in bewilderment. Walking slowly, shakily towards Jiàng Xìang Shèn a few meters away, the man suddenly fell to the forest floor, rising up a cluster of dirt. Jiàng Shèn looked at the man wondering if he had the the opportunity to just turn around and leave. But thinking that the man was his benefactor, the person that just saved his life from a quick but painful end, he approached the man slowly, nervously and bend down to cautiously turn the man around. He placed one of the man's hand around his shoulder, held his benefactors waist, and walked the fainted man in the direction he came from, just to hear the slow trickle flow of water.
Walking for a few more minutes he saw a body of water, a small stream, right in the direction that the man came from. He brought the man to the side of the riverbank and gently took some water to wash the blood off his hands and then fed him some springwater to keep him hydrated.
Jiàng Shèn stared at the river in deep thought. But only came to the conclusion that he is not in his world, in some forest, was chased by a beast, saved by a stranger, and that the water was amazingly clear to the point you could see the very bottom. Jiàng Shèn turned, looking at the man in daze and felt that he looked familiar, but didn't pay much attention to it.
Looking up to clear blue sky with faint outlines of flying monsters, Jiàng Shèn only felt that his future was dark. Staring at the sky wondering, 'where am I and what the hell have I gotten myself into?!!'
