When the golden light faded and Gena stood before Keagor, the dragons staring one another down, she stared down Nargash.
"Gena." Nargash spoke, pulling off his melted, deformed armor, exposing his red skin as smoke rolled off of it. The ground around them was molten black, cooking fast as steam drifted into the air. A crater had been formed into the earth from Gena's attack.
"Did you honestly think something like that would kill me? Sure, it was annoying maybe. You got rid of my armor, but that won't be enough to kill me, it seems you forgot I'm immune to heat magic." Nargash said.
Gena snarled. "That does not matter to me. This is the place you shall meet your end, this desolate tundra."
Nargash raised his chin, his eyes beginning to glow red. A molten red glow began to grow brighter and brighter from beneath Keagor's scales which appeared to turn ash-black and his eyes a solid red. Smoke rolled from the dragon's jaws and scales.
"The Golden Valkyrie." Nargash scoffed, his hair beginning to shift as if being blow by wind from below him. His skin turned black, red markings curling about throughout his figure as heat waves rolled off of him. "You are no longer deserving of such a title."
Keagor spread his wings, flames extending from his body like an armor, making his body appear twice as large, and then he exploded forward, the earth exploding waves of molten rock as he bulldozed into Gena, his horns skewering her underbelly and knocking her up. Gena let out a roar of agony, attempting to claw at Keagor, but his scales had hardened and were impenetrable.
The red dragon crashing his wing down on Gena's head, slamming her to the side before he dug his talons into her lower jaw and wrenched her down to the molten earth. Keagor hissed, drawing in a deep breath, a red glow emitting from his mouth.
"Nargash! Stop! Your fight is with me not her! Gänhir roared. Massive blades of ice dropped from the sky, breaking through the clouds down towards Keagor, but it was pointless, they melted almost instantly and water sprayed across the area, hissing and becoming steam.
Keagor swiveled his head towards Shiratt, red flames swirling about his mouth as he was about to shoot a blast of hellfire at the ice dragon, but Gena let out a roar, her talons wrapping around Keagor's snout and holding it shut before she slammed his head downward in quick jolt that snapped his neck backwards with a loud crack. A moment later, the fire last exploded in Keagor's jaws, blowing a hole in his throat, his flesh and blood spraying across the molten ground.
Gena then turned her attention to Nargash, her jaws opening wide, but a plume of flames burst into her mouth, knocking her back. Nargash placed a hand on his dragon, red aura enveloping Keagor and healing his wounds; phoenix magic.
Keagor bolted up, clasping Gena's throat and slamming her to the earth, dragging her across the ground before throwing her through the air towards Shiratt. Keagor shot into the air after her, spraying flames towards Gena and Shiratt.
Shiratt crashed into Keagor, but it was pointless, it seemed as though the red dragon had boundless power rushing through him and he easily overpowered Shiratt, throwing the ice dragon to the earth before pouncing in Gena and slamming her to the ground below him.
"Just.. die.." Keagor hissed, raising his head into the air to blast Gena to oblivion with hellfire, but then a flash of green slammed into him from the side, slamming Keagor to the ground before pulling him upwards and throwing him into a rock jutting out of the ground.
"Damnit.. I should have figured I'd see you again, kid.." Nargash growled as Keagor struggled back to his feet.
Dagon sat atop Sephtis, standing between Gena and Keagor. Sephtis's scales were hurting upwards, green energy exuding from them in heat waves.
Dagon looked down on Nargash with contempt.
"This ends now." Dagon said, holding out his hand.
"You really think it will be that-" Nargash froze, his eyes widening. He looked down at his own hands. His skin began to corrode away and blood mixed with black acid spit up from his mouth. His body began to decay, melting from the inside out. "What..?" He choked.
Sephtis crashed forward like a bull, slamming into Keagor and thrusting his serrated talons through the dragon's lower jaw, his claws jutting out of his mouth. Sephtis then wrenching forward, pulling his talons through Keagor's flesh and tearing his lower jaw away from his skull before tossing it aside and slashing open Keagor's throat.
"Damn.. you.." Nargash cursed.
At that moment Dagon realized he was much stronger than he could have ever realized. He had the power to change the tide of war, he had the power to end life at will, to do as he wished. At that moment, Dagon imagined him and his dragon standing over Mourtas and Zickarys as they were brought to their knees.
"The kingdoms will crumble."
