Mourtas watched his army march forward from atop Zickarys's back. It was like watching a million ants crawl across the sand, there were so many of them that he couldn't even see the snow beneath their feet. Not to mention the countless drakes and dragons soaring through the air above the soldiers, carrying cavalry and weaponry bound by chains below them from their talons.
"Mourtas, it truly has been too long." Came a silky voice.
Mourtas turned his eyes, seeing a blue dragon with a woman atop its back approach him.
"Myru." Mourtas said simply in response.
"I don't know how I feel about you using my real name… but oh well, I suppose it can't be helped. How long left till we arrive? My dear Abyss is getting hungry."
"Give it till nightfall." Mourtas spoke. He gave short answers and really had no interest in communicating with her, as he found Myru's haughty attitude annoying.
"Jeez, someone is moody. I figured you'd be in a good mood, but I guess that's just expecting too much, huh?" Myru said with a shrug. "Well, if that's the case, I'm gonna go in ahead. I'd love to see just what our foes are capable of." She said as her dragon, Abyss, picked up speed.
"If you die, make sure to weaken them enough for us to stomp them out." Mourtas called after her.
"Die? You truly are a fool, dear Mourtas."

Dagon slowly came to, still drifting through the cold, dark water, but now he'd been thrown out of the current and was aimlessly drifting through the dark sea.
His chest and throat began to burn in pain, and he began to frantically thrash his arms about, swimming up as fast as he could, even though his metal arm weighed him down.
When his head broke through the surface of the water, he drew in a deep breath of air as rain and wind beat down on him, threatening to push him back under. He looked around as water lapped up against his face and would flow into his mouth, choking him as he would spit the disgusting water back out.
He felt a whoosh of water beneath him as something ran across his feet, but he was too focused on the nearest slab of rock in the distance to even care, and he simply assumed it was just the current below him, even though he knew, when he was down there before, there was no current.
Dagon began swimming as fast as he could towards the rock the jut up out of the water, doing all he could to fight against the waves that would throw him about. A larger wave came in then, slamming down on him from behind and pushing him under, his body spiraling about. He opened his eyes, trying to figure out which way was up and which way was down, and that's when he froze.
Deep in the dark abyss of the ocean below him, he could see a writhing serpentine body disappear into the depths. The thought and sight of the ocean alone was frightening enough. Dagon came to realize he had a deep fear of the ocean, the view of the endless abyss of the dark ocean, the fact that he had no clue what was below him, how powerless he was, how there could be a horrendous monstrosity of nightmares right below him, watching him, and he'd have no idea.
It terrified him, and that fear sent a wave of adrenaline rushing through his body that made his heart thrum, and as he stared, frozen, into the depths below, he saw the writhing shadow of something massive beneath him. At that, he finally got the ability to move again and he began swimming madly upwards, to the surface of the water. He ignored the waves and their attempted to drown him and push him under, and he pushed forward until his hands were pressed up against the stone. He had made it, and a moment later the stone had broken down and transformed into Mercury, creating a platform in which Dagon lay upon, breathing deeply. He didn't care if he was cold, or sore, or that the waves could still lap up against his platform.
All he cared about was that he wasn't in the water anymore.
Then he froze. Sephtis. Where was Sephtis?
Dagon sat up, staring out at the dark waves beyond… he couldn't see his dragon anywhere.. he could only hope and pray that Sephtis hadn't sunk to the bottom of the sea.
What would he even do? It's not like he could just jump into the water to find Sephtis, he'd drown… or worse. He shuddered at the thought of whatever it was he'd seen down there. He stared blankly into the dark water, finding himself lost in the thought of what could lie in the abyss. Then he shook himself.
'Damnit! Sephtis… where are you..?'
