"You are no king." Leginoss hissed as its head rose up from the water, its jaws flying up to crush Dagon under the force of its teeth.
Dagon used his magic to create a lower wall of mercury below is feet, as well as creating a barrier on either side of himself just as the leviathan's jaws crunched down, pressing in the metal as it creaked under the force.
Dagon felt himself becoming light headed… all the use of magic, it was causing him to become exhausted both mentally and physically. He couldn't keep up this pace much longer.
The entire pillar began to rattle then as talons crashed against it, digging into the stone as Leginoss lifted its upper body up out of the water. The pressure on the walls ceased then as Leginoss lifted its head, moving it back so it could glare directly at Dagon.
"You cling so desperately to your puny life as though it actually matters. I wish to see your hopes and dreams die as your life.. slowly fades away into the abyss!" The leviathan hissed, and then it raised a talon up, pointing it towards Dagon.
Dagon froze. There was nothing he could do, and nowhere he could go. He had trapped himself, and now he had no way out…was this.. really where it all came to a close? Would the strings of his fate really be cut so short?
And then the leviathan's massive talon shot forward. Dagon, reacting quickly, raised a wall of mercury, fully sealing himself in a box, but it was pointless. He didn't have enough magical endurance left to hold the wall firm, and it simply gave way beneath the leviathan god's power, it's talon plunging straight through Dagon's chest and into the stone behind him.
Dagon's body tensed, freezing up as he lurched forward, clasping the talon that was now embedded into his torso. Blood began spilling from his wound in waves, soaking his clothes and spilling across the leviathan's talon as blood rose up in Dagon's throat, which he then coughed up.
Dagon weakly raised his head, looking toward Leginoss… but in truth, he was looking past the serpent with hazy eyes, as everything seemed to grow brighter, the dark clouds giving way to the brilliant sky above… but then he slipped out of consciousness.

Gänhir looked out over the tundra, squinting his eyes due to the brightness of the sun's reflection on the snow laden across the ground. Far off in the distance, he could just barely make out the bobbing image of a dragon flying through the air in their direction.
Gänhir's eyes narrowed the moment he realized who it was, and his expression turned dark.
"Myru." He said grimly. 'Of course she would go on ahead of the others… I always knew her arrogance would one day be her downfall.' He thought.
"Ready yourselves!" Gänhir roared to his soldiers, all of their heads turning up to look at him as he sat atop Shiratt, who was perched upon the Southern Wall.
"What?" One of the soldiers asked, "I… don't see anyone..?"
"There is one enemy approaching, but don't underestimate them. It is one of the Kingdom Dragons, specifically, it is Myru and her dragon, Abyss."
"Abyss?" Treasya, Bellirick's dragon, asked. "Alone?"
"Yes. Myru is as overconfident as always." Gänhir spoke.
"But if she is here, that means that the armies…" Bellirick began.
"Yes. They are close. Soon, this land will be a bloody waste.." Shiratt growled.
"Just like the Valley of Scales.." a soldier said glumly.
"No!" Gänhir said firmly, "This battle shall not be the same! This time, it will be different… this time, we will be victorious. Listen to me!" Gänhir raised his voice, turning to face all his allies. "Long ago, we lost the war in the Valley of Scales, and our king fell. But, his son, Dagon, will lead us into a new era! Do not think this is the same war, no! This is a new war, the beginning of a new world! This battle will mark the true beginning of a brand to path in which we shall all tread upon, unshackled and unbound! This is our redemption; this is OUR time! Now hold your heads high and do not be weighed down by the horrors of the past, and forge ahead… TO A NEW WORLD!!!" Gänhir raised his fist above his head, and in turn, all the Dragon Kin cheered, the few dragons there were all reared back their heads and let out triumphant roars that reverberated through the heavens.
Gänhir turned back out towards the tundra. 'That solves their resolve… and now.. we have to hold the enemy off until Dagon gets back… please hurry… our future king!'

Leginosss turned his eyes upwards as his head swiveled around. A hiss came from his mouth as his frills shivered angrily and he stared up at the sky, retracting his talon from Dagon's body.
The dark clouds had begun to part, the storm giving way as a marvelous, divine dragon with the appearance of an almighty god emerged from behind the dark sky, the sun of dawn, a new day, shining down on her from above.
"Liorria. I can't say I really expected this mere Dragling to draw one such as yourself out of your den." Leginoss hissed.
"The boy is with me." Liorria spoke, her voice reverberating powerfully through the sky. "You will not kill him, his fate still yet to unwind."
"You so sure? He seems quite dead to me, dear Dragon Goddess. To make sure.. I could finish it.." Leginoss raised his talon again as his body coiled around the pillar Dagon's body lay upon.
Liorria's eyes widened menacingly as they gave off a divine glow, her wings spreading wide and shining down a benevolent light upon the writhing waves below.
"It is not your place to decide against fate, Leginoss." Liorria hissed.
"And tis not yours to decide what fate entails." Leginoss retorted. "If I were to kill this boy now, it would disprove your whole idea of what fate is, what would you do, Goddess, if he were to die here and now? Tell me, as I see nothing stopping me."
"I will stop you." Liorria growled. "And the boy will not die here."
"What, you saying you are some kind of divine intervention?" Leginoss mocked, "wouldn't that induce that it was his fate to die here, if you have to intervene?"
"I am not the one who will stop you directly." Liorria spoke coldly.
"Oh? Then who, may I ask?"
Just then, a cloud high up above the leviathan parted as something came streaming down from the air like a meteor, flying in green flames as it soared straight on towards Leginoss.
