Leginoss's serpentine body writhed in the water, just below the surface, staring up into the dark, stormy sky, awaiting the re-emergence of the little dragon. He could not let them go unpunished, he felt the need to consume them and drown them into the depths of the abyss.
His head still hurt, his jaw aching with agony from when he'd been slammed into the pillar. He hissed in irritation, bubbles rising up from his nostrils.
He then shifted his body, angling down towards the seemingly fathomless abyss below him. His frills began to vibrate and his eyes glowed as vibrations were sent through the water, sending signals through the depths.
The signals and vibrations were a form of communications between leviathans. "Omira!" Leginoss called using the signal.
A few moments passed by, then a dark figure could be seen rising up from the depths. It was the same leviathan and strange humanoid from before, the ones who had saved Sephtis.
The rider's leviathan had dim gray scales with silver patterns mixed with a tinge of aquamarine. It had iridescent blue eyes and thin, short spikes covered most of its body. It had a snout much similar to that of a crocodile, while two horns that shot off, splitting at the ends, rose from its head. It had a thin, lanky, serpentine body and thin arms with frills and spikes across them while he had a large spine down the portion to f his back, save for the upper part where the rider sat.
The rider was a woman. She was pale and had long black hair, decorated with strange aquatic plants, while she wore silver armor that accentuated her features. She had smooth scales like silver flakes across her arms and she had bluish eyes, while gills flared at her neck and frills grew from her ears, arms, and legs. She also had a tail growing from her tailbone.
"Are you the ones who let that damn dragon free?" Leginoss growled using vibrations.
"Yes." The girl's leviathan responded.
Leginoss bared his teeth. "Why? That damn dragon was as good as dead! Everything was going fine until he came along…"
"Because we assumed that the Dragon Goddess would not like one of her own kind to die so near to her home…I thought it best to not risk starting another Kin War."
Leginoss, at first, was fuming, his body coiled and writhing in rage, but at this, he began to relax. Leginoss had adopted the girl and her leviathan when they were both young. After the first Kin War, the leviathan race had taken a large hit, and many of them had died. There were only a very many few left. The Leviakin (the girl) and her leviathan were both victims of the war, losing everyone they had once loved.
Leginoss understood their reasoning. Of course they'd want to avoid another Kin War.. he could not blame them.
Leginoss's snout gave off vibrations as his hills moved with the vibration. This was a leviathan's laugh, though, their laughs sounded more similar to dragons above water.
"It would seem… you two are much more calculating of the future than I. I didn't even think about the risk of a Kin War when I tried killing that boy." Leginoss spoke. He reached out a talon towards the Leviakin, who was named Omira, while her Leviathan went by Nidrell. Omira took Leginoss's talon, holding onto it. "Well done, you two. I apologize for getting so angry with you."
"It's okay." Omira smiled.
"Master Leginoss…" Nidrell began.
"Hmm?"
"I… feel something strange.." Nidrell said, uncomfortably.
"Oh? So you can sense it too…" Leginoss growled. "Then I am not mistaken…" he turned his head towards the water's surface. "What in the abyss could possibly be going on out there…?"

Sephtis lay beside Dagon, growing more and more impatient. "What the hell is this? When is he going to wake up??"
Liorria hummed. "Give it three days, little Sephtis."
"Three days!? We can't wait that long! The war could have already begun by now! We need to get back!"
"I am afraid you cannot. Let Dagon dream… for, before his enclosed eyes, he sees things none of us could ever dream." Liorria spoke.
"What..?"
"Little Sephtis… do you remember your life as a Dragling?" Liorria asked, tilting her head.
"I.. no. I cannot say I do." Sephtis spoke in response. He was confused about her sudden question, but he had nothing else he could do… all he could do was wait..
"I see. That is too bad. Hm. Once upon a time you were quite the sweet little thing." Liorria hummed amusedly.
"What? Are you saying.. you knew me once before?" Sephtis asked.
"Yes. As I know all dragons, past and present. I am the godmother of all the dragonic, thus, I can see from all of thine perspectives at one time." Liorria spoke.
"Wait! Does that mean you can see the war right now?! Tell me, what's happening?!"
"I am afraid I cannot indulge your request, dear Sephtis. The story of another dragon is not for me to tell, and I am also not to interfere in the affairs of other dragons. I risked my own life just to rescue you."
'Risked her own life..? What is she talking about..?' Sephtis wondered. 'could she mean that Leviathan..? No way, she could easily bring him down.. right?'
"There are still things you've yet to learn, dear Sephtis. Including many things about thine own self." Liorria spoke.
"What do you mean?"
"Tell me, have you ever wondered why you cannot remember a portion of your past?"
Sephtis never actually gave it any thought. He'd always assumed that, as he grew older, his memories of the past would digress.
"What is your earliest memory?"
"My earliest memory..?" Sephtis echoed. His mind instantly went to the Valley of Scales, long before it fell to ruin and became known as the Valley of Forgotten Bones. He never knew what he was doing there, but he had been picked up and taken in by a group of dragons back then… the same ones that had gotten him to attack Elderren many years later.
"I see you can recall it well. Sephtis, listen to me, for my words mean more than you know." Liorria spoke, "your heart and your mind is a sealed gate, and a key is needed to release your from the chains that bind both your mind and body. Only then will you become all that you are meant to be."
"All.. that I am meant to be..?"
