Chapter 12 - Comfortable

"Fer, please pick up my phone first, give me a chance to explain everything. Let's just say it's the last one, and I won't call you again." the voicemail of Andi.

"What's the explanation anyway?! Just waste my time!" Fera muttered.

Andi also felt guilty because of what he had done because until now, Fera did not reply to Andi's message anymore.

"Fer, you'll go where you're going tonight, right? Mrs. Arni had dinner at her house." Said, Mama.

"Duh, what else is this Ya Tuhaaan..." said Fera inwardly.

"Hmmm, ma." Fera nodded resignedly.

Fera and Daffa haven't communicated since the hotel incident that night.

Feeling guilty, Siska tried to talk to Daffa again this morning.

knock knock

"Ka Daffa, this is breakfast first. I brought you my sister's favorite chicken porridge."

"Thank you, Sis."

"Ahh. Sis, how's big brother today? Is it better?" Ask Siska.

"Good," Daffa said with a flat expression.

"I'm sorry for not commenting on the matter last night. This time if there's anything you want to tell you, I'm ready to listen and help while I can."

Daffa turned to Siska with a blank stare.

"I don't know what happened to me, Sis. I hate this situation so much. But without realizing it, I enjoyed it too."

"Enjoy what, brother?"

"When Fera played Feli. At least I feel comfortable with him. I know they're not the same. However, they provide comfort from different sides as well."

"Did you love her like Feli?"

"No. Of course not."

Siska was confused by Daffa's statement. But he tried to keep listening to his brother's story.

"I just don't know what to do right now, Sis."

"Sik, if Siska can give an opinion, maybe this can be a consideration for big brother. From what I understand, maybe Kaka can start everything from scratch with Kak Fera."

"Starting from zero? We already knew each other," asked Daffa in astonishment.

"That's right, but it's just plain. I mean, you guys are trying to get to know each other slowly. Fera and Mama's parents will give you as much time as possible to get in touch. So, make the most of your time..."

Daffa frowned in the middle of the conversation. Mama went into Daffa's room, whose door was half-open.

"Daffa, Siska. Tonight Mama invited Gunawan's family to dinner together. You guys get ready later. Oh yes, Siska later helps Mbok Irah and Mama cook, huh."

"Go-good, Ma," Siska replied.

Siska and Daffa looked at each other after Mama left. Daffa was silent and occasionally covered her face with both hands as if she was carrying a hefty burden of thought.

"Daffa, maybe it's time. Invite Fera to have a good chat. If there is no match between you, I think our parents and Fera will understand." Siska explained while rubbing Daffa's shoulder.

"Ok, I'll try. Hopefully, it goes well, and I don't expect much because it's about feelings. Fera is not my type."

A small smile appeared on Siska's lips, and she knew something about Daffa that even her brother didn't realize.

"I'm sure you'll fall in love with each other later. I can see that from Daffa's eyes. But you guys still have the prestige of revealing that. Daffa and Kak Fera just need time." Siska said in her heart.

Knowing there will be an event with the Daffa family later tonight, reflexively, suddenly, Fera goes into Feli's room and tries on her twin clothes like when she used to play Feli.

"What's wrong with me?! They already know why I tried felt clothes again. Oh! Fera. Fera! Stupid you!" Fera said while reflecting on Feli's shirt.

Fera returned to her room, and she decided to wear her clothes in her own 'style.' She opted for a black box-patterned skirt half a calf length and a short collared shirt like a white polo shirt.

"Ouch. Mama's girl is so beautiful. Do you want to wear that shirt later, dear? Mama agrees!" Mama said at the door of Fera's room that had been half-opened.

"Mama, that's where," Fera replied, misbehaving and looking embarrassed.

"It just so happened that Mama was passing by here. You look pretty happy now, son. How do you feel?"

"Ma, I'm not a kid anymore, don't ask me something like that. I'm trying on clothes again."

"Make it tonight, right? Want to see Daffa, huh? Hehehe." Mama said, "It's melting the mood.

"What the hell, ma? I've taken a bath first."

Mama walked out of Fera's room with a happy smile that had not been seen since Feli's departure.

"It's also true that Mama said, why am I like this? I'm feeling the disappointment of all this. Plus and. But.. After a long time, I could finally look back on Mama's smile, maybe. He's happy to see me happy about this match." Fera muttered.

I don't know how Fera feels. She looks excited to attend the dinner, although she does not admit it directly. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Andi felt very unsettled to hear the match between Fera and Daffa.

"Betrothed? That's right! This is not the time of Siti Nurbaya! I can't stay silent, and I need to go home quickly to prevent all this!" Andi said, who was pacing restlessly while holding his cell phone.

Kriiing.. Kriiing…

"Hello Andi, what's wrong?" Mr. Basuki replied.

"Mr. Bas, can you please change my return schedule no?"

"Who's going to Indonesia next month? Can Mas can. Want to be changed to what date and what time?

"Wednesday morning flight at 6 am, yes, sir."

"Loh, how sudden is it? I'm not sure I can, but I checked first."

"Well, sir, please inform me about the extra costs, and others are not a problem."

Andi already plans to return to Indonesia next month. However, hearing the news about Fera, she could no longer wait for her return. I don't know what made Andi so worried that he forced himself to go home as soon as possible and call Mr. Basuki, his family confidant, for 15 years.

"Hello Mas Andi, if for Wednesday this week there is nothing empty Mas, but if Mas Andi wants to leave tomorrow, there is still one seat left on American airlines." Mr. Basuki called back.

"It's ok; tomorrow is better. Morning flight, right, sir?"

"At 09.40 Mas, until about 23:50. Two transits."

"Ok, that's it, sir, booked for me, huh. Just attach the administrative costs via message."

"Well, Andi."
