"I got a call from Mary that Mr. King and the kids are back," Sarah shouted toward Cora
Cora threw the rest of the seeds she had in her hand to the ducks and hurried towards where Sarah was standing with the picnic basket already in hand.
"Well, they are not actually home yet. They are on their way. I thought you might want to be home in time for their arrival." Sarah said as they both walked away from the lake
"Yes, I want to," Cora said and smiled thankfully at Sarah.
When they arrived home she hurried to her room, opening the closet to see if she would find something presentable to change into but nothing. Not even a brush for hair. Every drawer and closet space were empty. She then rushed to where the mirror was placed on her vanity table to check if her face was okay and suddenly stopped.
