Watching the sunrise while sipping a cup of coffee is one of my favorite things. My alarm rang indicating the start of a new day. Well I got to get ready.
I took out a black knee-length skirt and a mocha-colored buttoned shirt which I'll be pairing with a heel.
It took me roughly thirty minutes to bathe and get dressed. Taking a look at myself in the mirror I must say I look good very might I add. I didn't have make-up on just some lip gloss and liner. I have just thirty-five minutes more before my interview.
Well I could still ride the bus, I hurried over to the bus station and luckily the bus arrived within five minutes of been there.
Twenty minutes later I'm standing in front of a building. A place where thousands of hundreds hope to work in. Myself included.
Am I nervous?
Very I mean this is Crosby inc. One of the best industries in NEW YORK. Scratch that it's at the top of the list hence the competition.
Nervousness was creeping into me so much I had to prep talk myself, I kept on standing at the front of the building. Well, thanks to my breathing exercise and self inspirational talk I was getting better. The familiar ringing of my phone interrupted me. The caller I. D was enough to bring a smile to my face. I picked up
"Hey girlie, how you doing there? Are the applicants much? I knew I should have slept over last night! I could have helped you to do well I don't know something, anything. Oh and by the way when you see the big boss please pweety pweety please sneak a shot on him for me will you".
"Good morning to you too sweetheart. My night was great thanks for asking" I replied with an eye roll
"Don't be like that" well her call was enough to cheer me up. I told her about my nervousness and she said if they didn't employ me well that's their loss. I knew she was just doing her best friend duty but that was enough to lighten up my mood. Glancing at the time I got just five more minutes. She didn't end the call until she reminded me to take a shot of all the handsome males who works' here especially the big boss.
I walked into the building and thankfully I spotted the receptionist's desk. And my God is the receptionist beautiful. She looks like she is in her early 30's or late 20's I'm not sure. With her auburn hair packed in a neat ponytail, she gives off a friendly and approachable vibe.
"Hi, good morning" I greeted with a smile, I mean I can't help it she is a beauty.
"Good morning miss, how can I help you" she answered with a smile of her own.
"I'm here for the interview" I said
"That will be on the 14th-floor miss, and best of luck" her smile looks so genuine I couldn't help smiling back.
Stepping out of the elevator, I was a minute late than the scheduled time and I was shocked by the number of applicants. Wow the competition is real. After confirming I was indeed at the right venue I received a number tag, I sat down while waiting for my turn.
