Cora loved Lisa. It was not just her parents that stood with her when Zach left her. Lisa was also there for her. When her parents didn't know what to do with her since she was always locking herself inside her room out of shame, Lisa moved out of her parent's house and moved in with Cora and her parents.
It was Lisa who kept Cora from depression by always being with her. She even delayed going to college for a year just because she didn't want to leave Cora without her best friend.
Cora sighed heavily. Lisa was her best friend and has done so much for her. Right then, Cora just wished Lisa would listen to what she has to say? She wished Lisa would trust and respect her decision instead of making her feel bad about herself. Making her carry a heavy guilt on her chest.
With the way Lisa just behaved Cora didn't want to imagine how she would feel when she learnt about Samantha who wants to start living with them
