Suddenly they ran towards us. At least this time I was mentally prepared to pull in a fight.
"Bruno! Here, take this," Can said to me, throwing something at me.
"Huh?" I blurted out. After catching it, a small grin appeared on my face.
"Thank you," I replied, and opened the pocket knife he just gave me. Of course, I wondered why he would have something like this for a vacation, but I had other worries right now.
After we were about to collide with our opponents, Napat sprayed the nearest behemoths with his spray, causing a few of them to stumble and lose their momentum. Emiliano took this chance. He beat his opponents with his bare hands.
Can and I abruptly followed him. With the knife, I stabbed randomly at each of these things that crossed paths with me. Can smashed their skulls in with his baton and Napat continued to spray. Pink blood spurted randomly in all directions when we hurt one of these things.
There was no real strategy. Each of us struggled and fought with everything we had and I lost track of the battlefield a long time ago. I dodge, stab, duck, stab again, got knocked over, got back up, kicked, blocked, bled, ran, punched, got knocked down again, and got back up. Little by little we defeated one by one and the battlefield slowly filled with blood, entrails, and monster corpses.
Despite their appearance, they are surprisingly quite weak. The only thing that could describe them would be tough, resilient, and robust, but their attacks, which consisted mostly of bites and butts with their heads, were not life-threatening. Nevertheless, it hurt like hell and caused minor injuries.
"Ahhhhh!" Napat yelled.
"Oh fuck!" Can commented and rushed to him.
Apparently Napat somehow managed to get his pepper spray in his face. Of course, I also tried to cover his back as quickly as possible, but I had my hands full. Emiliano, on the other hand, is completely in the zone and ran completely berserker
This mess continue until we've finally put every single one of these creatures to sleep. Out of breath, sweaty, covered in pink monster blood, with open wounds, bruises, sprains, ice burns on various parts of the body and possibly minor fractures, we stood out victorious. After a short silence, one of us started laughing. I'm not exactly sure who it was, anyway the others, including me, started laughing too. We just couldn't stop. We laughed so hard that even some of us teared up and I almost peed my pants. I certainly have never felt so alive.
