During our little dinners the two suns went down. Together we watched the purple blue sunset. I have to say, it was just indescribably beautiful, which made the atmosphere a lot more magical than it already was. I knew that each of us would be extremely drained, tired and hurt after a day like this, but surprisingly the food was doing quite well and it seems to have eased our pain as well as boosted our morale.
After Emiliano was the first of us to yawn, he asked, "Well? How do we divide the night shift?"
"Hmm? What do you mean?" I answered with a question in return.
"You know, night watch and all. So that we don't get murdered in our sleep or other things happen to us.«, Emiliano replied and yawned again. You could clearly see on his face that he was done.
"Huh?" Bruno said surprisingly, pointing his finger at Napat, who's already holed up in his sleeping bag. His eyes were already closed. Obviously this guy was already gone.
I sighed "Apparently the guy isn't worried," I said, shaking my head with a smirk in complete shock.
Bruno shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well, he killed himself in battle, so don't expect too much from him today..."
"I think we can all agree that he's not scheduled for tonight's watch, so we'll work it out between the three of us."
Shortly thereafter, when none of us objected to Emiliano, the remaining three, who were still conscious, planned how we would split our night's watch. Of course the three of us decided with a rock paper scissors match who goes first and who goes second. Luckily Bruno lost again. He's probably not blessed in such matters. Well, nevertheless I will replace him after four hours. To be fair, I don't like that idea, but there's not much I can do about it. Our phones are still functional. Each of us can at least measure time with it, which can prove to be quite useful. We have yet to figure out how long a night lasts in this world and what other natural factors we should be aware of.
When I finally lay down in my sleeping bag between Napat and Emiliano, I immediately fell into sleep. The temperatures were comfortable, the wind barely reaching us due to the massive dragon corpse giving us shelter and warmth. In addition, the campfire warmed us subtly, weaker than expected...
If you consider what kind of situation the four of us are in right now, you can say that we got off relatively lightly. Who knows what would have happened if Bruno hadn't spotted this big big boy, or if we had encountered much more dangerous creatures, which may happen in near future.
