Chapter 32 - Highschool

Zero started rotating his left middle finger around his thumb, a habit he had developed whenever he needed the urge to attack someone to subside. 'Hold on! I can't loose control until I get information.' The itch slightly faded, only enough for Zero to be able to think properly. Zero made it out onto the main street before he started jogging his way towards the high school.

After jogging for 20 minutes, the school building finally came into view. The first thing he noticed was the side door suddenly open to reveal five larger men and a single female walk out, positioning themselves to block his path. "Lookie lookie what we have here. What is a kid like you doing in the street in this dangerous time?" Zero instantly noticed they each had a pistol in one of their hands.

"I am a Host, and I think I can help your leader gain a large amount of souls." four of the men shifted towards the female before they quickly moved back to Zero. "And how do you think you're going to do that?" This time it was the female that spoke to Zero, and he had a feeling she was the leader of this group of 6. "I have a radar that shows me were a large grouping of souls have been in the last two days."

The female seemed to doubt Zero's words. "And the reason you have so much blood on your clothes?" Zero shrugged before speaking. "I also have an ability that allows me to protect myself. I'd be happy to demonstrate, however It requires a target." The four men that had looked at the female all raised there guns a foot into the air, ready to aim and shoot Zero on a moments notice. The female however seemed to be more interested then anything.

"You have two abilities?" Zero nodded as he asked the window something. 'Shop, show abilities that can show the location of souls.'

Zero mentally scoffed at the price as the girl continued to stair at him. After another minute passed, Zero thought the girl would give the order to shoot him, However to his surprise, she sighed before speaking. "Put your weapons down. Even if the boy doesn't have a second ability, both abilities will come in handy. We will let the leader decide if your ability is worth the trouble." At this, the five men put there weapons down and escorted Zero into the high school.

The first thing Zero noticed was that the walls were completely clean, if not too clean. 'They weren't even this clean before this whole thing started.' Zero's thoughts were pulled in a different direction as he thought about the windows information he had bought. 'The window called what was happening a Trail right? The concept of a trail means there will be more trials. Does that mean this whole situation will get worse?' Zero was pulled from his thoughts when the women spoke from behind him.

"Why is your hand doing that? Are you using an ability?!" Everyone stopped from were they were walking to point there pistols at Zero. Zero was confused before he looked down, realizing what she was talking about. Without even realizing it, Zero middle fingers had both been circling his thumbs rapidly. "Its not an ability. Its something I do to calm down." The six all seemed to not believe him, however after nothing happened when he continued to repeat the action, they decided to trust him.

"Walk Infront of us, and keep your hands were we can see them. And stop doing that motion with your fingers." Zero nodded and started slowly walking forward as he lifted his hands so they could both see them. Zero's left hand momentarily twitched as it started to inch once more. 'NOT THE TIME!' Zero pushed the itch away as he focused on anything else. Zero had been successfully pushing his urges down through his life, however now that he had real power, it seemed that the urges had become multiple times stronger.

The entire time they walked forward, Zero's fingers had been twitching. Zero was sure the six could see it, as even he could see it. 'Maybe they will think I have Parkinson's?' Zero had read about the disease after seeing it on a show and becoming carious about it. "Up the stairs and the third door on the right." Zero was pulled out of his thoughts as he arrived at the stairs, which he had walked thousands of times. Zero walked up the stairs with a look devoid of emotion.

Although Zero was from this school, he had no attachments to it, or anything for that matter. Zero made it to the top of the stairs, finding seven figures standing behind walls made from the desks in the classrooms. Zero remembered there numbers before quickly making his way into the third door on the right, only to find a throne room of sorts.

The entire large classroom was bare besides a seat made out of bones with a figure sitting with there legs crossed. Zero focused in on the figure on the chair, finding it was a women, and one that he recognized for that matter. 'Well this is going to end badly.' Zero looked forward to find the girl that had killed him once, and he nearly killed himself.

"What do we have here?" The women sat forward as she spoke, her gaze focusing in on Zero. The women behind Zero spoke as she pushed Zero forward. "This boy is saying he has an ability to sense souls, as well as an ability to defend himself." The women on the throne stood from her position and walked towards Zero, her eyes running him up and down. "Are you lying child?"

Zero's had placed his hand behind his back, as it was now violently shaking. He quickly started circling his thumb with his middle finger as he answered. "I am." The five men that had walked him in all tensed and raised there pistols, only for the lead women to raise her own hand, stopping them. "I would assume if you are admitting it, then you have something up your sleeve?"

Zero shrugged at her question, "I have an ability, I figure you would find Hosts with an ability and nothing else to do worth quite a pretty penny." The girl staired at Zero for a moment before a smile crossed her face. "You are smarter then I would expect from someone who looks so young. Very well, show me your ability and I will deem whether or not you are worth my care."
