The entire crowd went deathly silent, there eyes wide and locked on to Zero's face. When nothing happened right away, Zero once again spoke. "You have five seconds to produce the 11 people. Five. Four. Three." Over five people were shoved forward after he had said 4, and as he hit 1 the 11 had been produced. "Very well. Because I am nice, you 11 can go stand off to the side in a single file line over there."
The people remaining in the group all looked scared and confused, as the people they had sacrificed hadn't been killed, but rather given immunity. Zero watched the 11 go line up to his right, which was right Infront of the window before turning back to the now small group of people. "11, come forward in the next two seconds." This time, five people stepped forward before he even started counting, something Zero had been expecting. The 11 had all be produced before he reached two, nine of which had stepped forward by themselves.
"Line up were your standing." The students slowly followed his order, before Zero spoke again. "Good. Thank you for the sense of urgency." Zero threw his hand out, using the third to last finger on his left hand to decapitate 9 of them. Due to the whip being to dull to cut through, the whip connected with the 10th persons neck, sending him and the girl beside him flying into the window. There was a loud crack as the whip made contact with the boys neck, and the resulting soul that appeared confirmed what everyone thought.
Zero noticed the girl that had slammed against the window was still moving. "Anyone that kills the girl will join the group standing over there." Zero pointed towards the group of 11 standing near the window, and he watched as every set of eyes still in the group all looked between the group that was given immunity, and the girl that was slowly coming too. Zero watched as the entire group lurched towards the girl, only to get caught up on each other and trying to stop others from getting to her first.
Zero's gaze was pulled to the lone figure that had snuck out of the group and was now standing above the girls dazed body. 'Don't think I haven't been watching you, Jackson.' With a deep breath, Jackson lunged down and wrapped his hands around the girls throat. The girl came to and started struggling, clawing at Jackson. The group of fighting group members realized what was happening to late, as the girl's body went limp in Jackson's hands.
Zero clapped as Jackson continued to strangle the girl even when a soul floated out of her body and was absorbed by him when it touched his chest. "You can head to the group over there Jackson." Jackson slowly looked around before looking back at his hands. He slowly unclasp his hands from around the girls neck before standing and walking towards the group of 11. "That makes 11 people sacrificed, I still need one offered. Seeing as there is only 19 of you left, if someone doesn't offer themselves soon, all of you will be guarantied to die."
Zero heard hushed whispering coming from within the middle of the group before he noticed someone bump into another persons back. About to request another 11 people, Zero watched as a girl shorter then Zero slowly stepped out from behind the male student she had bumped into. The girl's eyes were glued to her feet, however Zero recognized her. "Aurora." The girl flinched at his words, but slowly brought her face up. The first thing Zero noticed was that Aurora wasn't wearing the glasses she needed, as she was practically blind without them.
The second thing Zero noticed was that her face was red, from where he figured she had been slapped, and repeatedly at that if the cuts were any indication. Aurora was a short quite girl with dark black hair. Zero could honestly say she was one of the only people in school he had ever held a conversation with more then twice. Although she was quite and shy, she was also someone that would try to help anyone in need from behind the scenes.
"Aurora, have you offered yourself as the 12?" Aurora didn't move for a moment, before slightly nodding. "Was this decision decided by you alone? Or did someone force you to make it?" Aurora flinched before looking back down at her feet. "Aurora, do you know what death feels like? Do you?" Aurora shook her head, and so Zero continued. "Its the most painful thing you can imagine, then times that by 10. You see, when your head is suddenly cut from your body, your brain is still able to process what is happening for 2 seconds. That means you watch as your head falls to the ground."
Aurora was visibly shaking, yet she still didn't say anything. Zero simply staired at her for another thirty seconds before someone from the group shouted. "She offered herself, so kill her!" Zero's gaze was drawn towards the girl that spoke, finding she was in the middle of the group. Almost instantly the group parted away from the girl, as if she was death itself. Zero sighed and threw out his hand, the whip wrapping around her throat before he yanked downwards. The whip itself yanked downwards, slamming the girls face into the ground.
Without pause, Zero yanked his arm backwards, the whip tightening around the girls neck before it rapidly yanked her until she was laying next to Zero's and Aurora's feet. The whip disappeared and the girl clutched her neck with both hands as she rolled on the ground in evident pain. To anyone that was looking, there was a cut that was around her entire neck, as though a dull blade had been pressed against it.
"I believe I said they must OFFER themselves willingly as the 12th, or we would start over." Zero looked to Aurora and spoke. "Aurora, If you kill her right here and now, I will not kill you. The choice is yours."
