It's not like Draco himself had ever killed someone.
The most he's done was beat someone's ass once or twice, or three times. Who's counting anyways?
Truthfully, Draco never had any reason to do something as drastic as kill someone. When he thought about it though, he felt like he could if he needed to.
It was a strange thing to think, but Draco was someone who had a few close brushes with what could have easily been death.
Draco knew that if push came to shove and he had to choose between his life and someone else's, the choice was obvious.
He once got a knife pulled on him in high school, and again when some drunk homeless man tried to rob him, but that's the furthest his life had ever been threatened.
The only reason Draco could identify this man as a killer was the simple fact that he had seen killers before. In fact, not just a few of Draco's customers in this area had the same telltale signs of a killer.
The most noticeable one was always in the eyes.
Most people couldn't even notice it if they didn't know what to look for, but when comparing someone like Shamus' eyes with someone like James it became obvious.
A killer looked at the world with jaded eyes, after all killing is usually a traumatic experience for most.
However, some people turn that trauma into strength, and the desensitization gained from killing is a weapon used by dangerous humans all around the world.
Seeing the look in Shamus' eyes made Draco mentally file him into a corner labeled, "Do Not F*ck With."
After their introductions, Draco cut straight to the chase. It didn't take long for Draco to find out as a drug dealer that people called upon him to buy drugs, not chit chat.
"So, what'll it be? I'm doing a three five for thirty special"
"Oh? Three and a half grams for thirty bucks? Not bad at all, kid!"
Draco nodded his head, "Of course! Roman recommended me for a reason, didn't he?"
Shamus snorted, "I'll be the judge of that. It doesn't matter how cheap your prices are if the quality doesn't hold up. I won't smoke dirt."
"Obviously not, I wouldn't be here if I planned to sell you dirt." Draco replied as he pulled out a small plastic bag with a sample of his best quality stuff, the same stuff he sold to James.
"See for yourself." he said as he handed Shamus the baggie.
Shamus took the bag and opened it. Immediately the car was filled with a pungent aroma and the man could instantly tell that this stuff was the real deal.
"Damn, not bad." Shamus said while nodding his head. "Alright, let me get half an ounce of that. If it smokes as well as it smells I'll be back for more.
"Sounds good, that's gonna be a hund-" Draco was saying before being suddenly cut off by the sound of tires screeching.
An imperceptible glint flashed through Shamus' eyes as he quickly shouted, "Sh*t! Get Down!"
Draco quickly ducked his head below the steering wheel before a cacophony of noises assaulted his eardrums.
It sounded like a dozen firecrackers were suddenly going off inside of his car as he covered his head.
'F*ck! We're getting shot at!' was the first thing to come to Draco's mind after half a second.
This was immediately followed by, 'I have to get out of here!'
Draco reached for the ignition and started his car, before putting the car in drive and slamming his foot on the gas pedal.
The whole time this was happening he had his head below the steering wheel as glass continued to rain on him from above.
"Go! Go! Go!" Shamus shouted next to him, but Draco couldn't hear him over the sound of his own eardrums ringing and was acting purely on instinct.
In Draco's adrenaline-fueled state, time seemed to slow down to a crawl as he grabbed the steering wheel and tried to steer in the direction he thought the road was going.
A few seconds seemed like a minute as Draco relied on his instincts to get him out of danger.
Eventually the gunshots stopped and Draco slowly raised his head just in time to avoid a car that was parked on the side of the road.
Draco swerved into the center of the road and immediately upon looking down the road he saw a black SUV with tinted windows speeding off into the distance.
Draco realized, a little bit too late, that he was now following the people who had just done a drive-by on him!
'Wait, isn't this bad?!" he screamed inwardly before he heard the muffled sound of Shamus yelling next to him.
"Dammit! Don't stop! We can still catch those f*cks."
Draco looked over his shoulder just in time to see Shamus pull out a pistol from his waistband and aim it towards what was left of his windshield.
"Wait, stop! What are yo-" Draco managed to get out before Shamus started pulling the trigger, unleashing lead into the back of the car that was now at least 50 meters in front of them.
The sounds of gunshots resounded in the car which made Draco jump in his seat and almost lose control of his steering.
The car seemed to have finally realized that they were actually following it, and as if angered after realizing that their drive-by had failed, began to slow down!
The car was now only 20 meters in front of them, and Draco saw two men stick half of their bodies out of the car windows and point their guns at them.
"Sh*t! Sh*t! Sh*t!" was all Draco managed to say before he again heard Shamus next to him.
"Keep her steady." he said, surprisingly calm given the situation.
The next thing Draco heard was once again the deafening sounds of gunshots next to his ears.
A second later Draco saw the man sticking out of the right-side window fall limply onto the street below them.
Draco had to quickly swerve to the left to avoid hitting the man's body, but was now in a perfect firing position for the other man sticking out of the window.
"You 10 bastards! F*cking cockroaches! Hurry up and Die!" the man shouted before spraying what looked like an Uzi towards him and Shamus.
Seeing this, Draco and Shamus quickly ducked their heads down.
While under continuous fire, Draco tried his best to control the car while Shamus fired shots blindly at the car in front of them.
After a few seconds, the shots stopped, and Draco glanced above the wheel to see that the man was reloading.
This was the opportunity Shamus seemed to be waiting for as he pointed his pistol at the man and fired three shots at him.
Draco could clearly see the man's head snap back as the last bullet seemed to have hit him directly in his eye.
He watched the man fall out of the window and once again swerved out of the way to avoid hitting the body.
After all, even if there were now bullet holes in every inch of his car, and he no longer had any windows, there was no way he was going to be cleaning out guts from under his car!
