Part 8.
Arriving at the campus, I saw the car park at the end, a lot of people were crowding. Wonder, not, as usual, I thought. After being able to park in the corner of the yard, I got off while grabbing a bag filled with course books. Incidentally today there is an assignment, so the contents of this bag are quite heavy.
From afar, I saw Arini running toward me. His breathing was a little erratic. Once close he whispered in my ear.
"Za... there's something exciting happening in the parking lot over there!" he said, pointing to the crowd.
"What is going on?" I asked.
"So you haven't seen it yet, have you?"
"Not yet!" I said.
"The Randy, who has a crush on you, is making a fuss with his girlfriend!" Arini explained.
"Oh, but you already have a lover, what for?
have a crush on another woman?" I asked confused.
"It's okay, playboy! Likes to date many women," said Arini.
"Randy's lover already knows that the guy has a crush on you," said Arini.
"How do you know?" I asked.
"Her boyfriend accidentally reads a message to you, on the boy's cellphone!" explained Arini.
"Oh-means the one who sent messages and a bouquet of flowers to my house, is that Ready?" I asked myself.
"Eeh, but how do you know, if they noisy
because of me?"
"I accidentally passed in front of their car at that time, Rara was fighting over Rendy's cellphone while mentioning your name! Rara immediately explained to me, if there was a message for you on her boyfriend's cellphone!"
"Then what did you say to them?" I asked.
"I'll explain if your status is
single, not dating anyone!"
"You have Rendy's phone number?" I asked.
"Idiih... why do I keep a guy's cell phone number!" he answered bitterly.
"Can I fight with Angga, if you save another guy's cellphone number!" said Arini.
"That's right, I also don't have male friends' cell phone numbers, except for those in the campus group," I said.
"Well, you are single, you don't want to be bothered by their status on social media. Moreover, I have a partner!"
"Hm... just talk about being single!" I said curtly.
"Come on, let's go to class! Let them do their own thing. The killer lecturer will be here soon!" take me.
"Okay!" We walked side by side down the campus corridor to class.
*******
Actually, Rara and I were in the same class, while Rendy was in the next class, but still majoring in the same subject. All this time I knew that Rendy was a playboy, easily conquering women's hearts. Maybe because he is handsome and rich, no one can refuse his love.
But I'm not the least bit interested in him. Seeing the handsome boy is a common thing on this campus. It's known that the campus students here are mostly rich people, who are definitely beautiful and handsome in appearance.
Not long after the campus bell rang, Rara had just entered the classroom, passing me. He looked at me and said. "Don't be so enchanting, so that guys forget themselves!" he said curtly.
"Hey, who are you talking to?" I asked.
"Talk to you!" he answered.
"That's why I have a guy who has glued his eyes, so he can't see other girls anymore" I replied.
"Hush, Za... Miss Tina is here!" Arini whispered in my ear.
Oops, the lecturer's killer almost caught us when we were fighting. I sat back down where I was. Rara looked away when we met eyes.
This selfish girl, why blame me too, those who fight, why is my name called. Besides, I just found out that the guy likes me.
"I'm not interested in the playboy, so don't make accusations!" I sent a message to Rara's cellphone number.
My message was immediately blue ticked, Rara had read it but didn't reply. Because Mrs. Tina's subjects have already started. There's just something that interferes with the concentration of learning in class
Today's presentation schedule, read out the results of yesterday's assignments. Incidentally, my name was first called to come to the front of the class. Fortunately, yesterday's assignment was finished, so with confidence, I read out the results of the assignment.
"It's a good job, Zahra!" Miss Tina said to me to the applause of the whole class.
"Thank you, Miss!" I said.
I was asked to sit back down. With a satisfied smile, I glanced at Rara who was smiling because my grades today were better than hers.
*******
After the last class, I invited Arini to sit at the cafe, our favorite place. I want to ask him something, there is something that makes me curious. Earlier, Arini called Angga first, so I just waited in the car park.
From afar, Arini seemed to be walking toward where I was waiting. I speed the car closer to him.
"Come on, up!" take me.
"Yeah," he said, opening the car door.
Without further ado, I immediately asked about what Rara said this morning.
"You gave me your home address and my phone number to Rendy, okay?"
"Yeah, why are you accusing me like that?" Arini asked back.
"Then who else if not you?" I replied curtly.
"That Rendy can do whatever he wants. If it's just an address and a cellphone number, it's a small thing for him!" replied Arini.
"Obviously I never told anyone!" Arini said.
I was silent, my guess was wrong. Arini is right, many other friends know about my info even almost one campus knows who I am and my family.
"I'm sorry, yes! I was just annoyed to hear what Rara said this morning!"
"Don't even think about it, let alone want to seize it"
lover of people," I said annoyed.
"Actually, it was Randy who was wrong, he was never satisfied with being in love with just one woman," said Arini.
"It's been almost a week now, a prankster guy often texts my number, and even sends me a bouquet of flowers."
"Oh, really, Za?" asked Arini in disbelief.
"There's no mistaking it, it must be Rendy's job!" said Arini reassuring me.
"From the start, I never responded to his advances. I think it's the work of a cowardly guy, send messages but there's no profile picture on his social media!" I explained.
Did not feel the car entering the cafe yard. After parking the car, we looked for a seat that led to the cafe garden. There is live music here too, but only on weekends. On a normal day, only music can be heard from the sound system, it is enough to make the atmosphere relaxed and comfortable.
To be continued...
