Chapter 14 - Same story

Part 14.

Along the way to Arini's house, he told many stories about his relationship with Angga. His name is Arini, he doesn't like Angga, because he was involved in criminal matters. Indeed, at that time Angga defended himself from a group of delinquents who liked to invite him to play gambling.

Angga was blackmailed by his own friend, because of a mistake Angga beat his friend to the hospital and finally the friend reported it to the police. Angga was imprisoned for a year with a case of persecution.

"So your mother doesn't like Angga, because he's an ex-convict?" I asked.

"Yes, Za. Even though it's not a serious case, only a case of fighting, but Mama still doesn't agree that I'm married to Angga," explained Arini

"Try Angga to come to the house, then show a good attitude full of responsibility in front of your Mama, surely her heart will melt when she sees all that," I suggested.

"I've also suggested that, but Angga is still busy taking care of his college assignments. He doesn't have time to come to the house often," said Arini.

"Then just try it later, when you have free time," I said.

It didn't feel like the car had arrived in front of Arini's house. He came down and said thank You. I waved at him, then continued on my way home. Actually I have learned a lot from the love story of Mother and Papa, also from my best friend Arini about love problems.

All need understanding and sacrifice, love alone is not enough to build a household. Moreover, Mother is the second woman in Papa's life. The status of the second wife is a little uncomfortable to hear.

Moreover, grandma Nelly, Papa's ex-in-law always called Mother the actor. aka usurper people's husbands. While Mother married Papa who had been a widower for five years. While busy daydreaming, I accidentally turned to the car that stopped at a red light, right in front of me.

When I saw the vehicle number, wasn't it Papa's car? I observed people sitting in their cars. Looks like Papa is alone with a male friend. Coinciding with the green light, I align my car with Papa's car.

Oops... it turned out that Papa was with the guy my neighbor was looking for. There were three of them in the car, the other one I knew was a personal assistant. Are they going to lunch, I thought. At a crossroads, Papa's car turned toward the city center. And my car drove to the housing complex.

When I got home, I saw Mother had come home from the boutique. Mother usually comes home after the Asr prayer, at four in the afternoon.

"Assalamualaikum, Mother," I greeted while kissing Mother's hands and cheeks.

"Wa'alaikumsalam, Za," he said.

"How come Mother is home? Usually in the afternoon?" I asked curiously.

"Yes, Mother is just lazy to linger outside the house," he answered.

"Eat first, Za! We'll talk later, Mother wants to pray first!" he said while getting up to the top floor.

Looks like you're having a problem. From the way he spoke, he was usually not enthusiastic. Mother only wants to talk to me, while with others she is closed.

Even though she has two continued children from Papa, Mother is not free to pour out her heart. Only to me did he dare to reveal the secrets of his past.

"Have you finished praying?" I asked when

enter the unlocked room.

"Already... why don't you change your clothes?"

"Later, Za is still hot, just finished eating!" I said.

"Well, the photo on the dresser, where's the Bund?"

"Oh, it's in the drawer! This morning Mother cleaned the table, forgot to take it out!"

"Oooo..." I pursed my lips.

I looked around Mother's room, there were some photos that were not in their place. Like the photo they were young and when they were still dating. Papa most likes to talk about his past courtship with Mother, at the dinner table.

Even though they were only dating for six months, then Papa couldn't wait anymore. Immediately came to the parents to propose, the story is so sweet in my opinion.

"The boutique is empty of customers, isn't it, Bund?"

"Not really, it's okay!" he said unenthusiastically.

"Then why are you so upset?" I asked

"The old man has come again, Za!"

"Hah, really? Why come again to see Mother?" I'm getting curious.

"As soon as you arrived at the boutique, the man was already in the parking lot. You didn't pay attention, I thought it was a customer who wanted to shop at the boutique!"

I was silent hearing Mother's explanation.

Surely he could not dodge the man, let alone standing in front of his eyes.

*******

Mother's story flows, explaining to me about her past. Turns out there's still a lot I don't know about him. As soon as Mother was about to enter the boutique, the man called out Mother's name.

"Meysa ... wait a minute!" call the man named Bayu.

Mother was shocked and looked back. He barely recognized the man behind him. Because of his skinny physical changes and his hair began to grow gray here and there.

"Who are you?" Mother asked, looking at the face of the man in front of her.

"You don't know me anymore, do you?"

Mother squinted, examining every inch of the man's face. As soon as she realized who the man in front of her was, Mother immediately entered the boutique, ignoring the call.

But that didn't stop the man from meeting Mother. He waited in the courtyard of the boutique for almost three hours. Due to the uncomfortable situation, Mother decided to just go home. In the parking lot, there was no other choice, Mother wanted to know what the man meant to meet her.

"Why did you come and see me again?" Mother asked.

"I've only been divorced a year, Mey!" he said.

"Then what's that got to do with me?"

"I want to rekindle our love that had been broken before!" he said innocently.

"Whatts ... you're crazy, huh! I'm already married," shouted Mother, feeling her emotions.

Mother immediately got into the car, fortunately Mr. Dirman immediately drove the car quickly. So that the man did not have time to catch up, because over time he started his motorbike.

There's just the behavior of adults. Why is a love story that has been completed, still forced to be reconnected.

"I'm afraid that the man will come to our house," said Mother quietly.

"Has this man ever done anything reckless?

yes, Mother?" I asked.

"Never! It's like that, right? It's a desperate name. To meet someone's wife in person, in public again!" said Mother, looking emotional.

"The day after tomorrow I'm afraid he will come to our house, when your Papa went to work," explained Mother.

That's right. If you are in love, anything can be done. Ahh, it reminds me of my friend Rendy's behavior on campus, why can I have the same story as Mother?

To be continued ....
