Part 11.
Hearing Mother's story about the boy, it felt like my heart wanted to scream happily. It means that he is single now, the same as me. But I still doubt, a guy as handsome and as steady as he is, must be surrounded by many beautiful and rich women. Does he want and like me? A student whose future is uncertain.
"Zaa... why are you daydreaming? Don't you go to college?!" Mother asked.
"Oh-uh-yes, Bund, here is Za going!" I answered while kissing both cheeks and the back of the woman I love.
"Za go yes, Bund!"
"Yeah, be careful on the road, kid!" remember.
Today I have morning class, so the schedule is almost the same as people going to the office. Thankfully Papa and Bang Rey had already left. Otherwise, I will always be the butt of their mockery.
I grabbed my duffel bag on the table and headed out into the garage. As soon as I was about to get into the car, I heard the sound of the gate across from my house opening. A tall, tan-skinned, well-dressed man was pushing the fence.
I stared at him in amazement from behind the garage. I undo the intention to get into the car, instead took out a cellphone. I secretly videoed the guy, he started to push fence to get into his car.
Shortly after the guy left, a guy my age came out, he pushed and closed the fence again. I should have gotten along with that guy, not even had a crush on his brother. It's hard to guess where this love is going.
It turned out that Pak Dirman was secretly watching all my behavior from behind the car. He laughed, shaking his head.
"That guy in the car was really cool, Non!" he said as he opened the fence for me.
"He-hee, Mr. Dirman also has a crush on that guy?" my joke.
"Idiih, oranges eat oranges, dongg," he said with a big laugh.
My car immediately left the house. Remembering what Mr. Dirman, the security said earlier, made me smile to myself. It's an amazing thing according to the family, if I have a crush on a guy. Because I've never brought any man home.

The road this morning looks jammed, you know my car passed the main market. Because through this road, the distance to campus is closer. What's more, when you enter class in the morning, you have to meet the killer lecturer, Miss Tina again.
Even though she's a killer, Miss Tina isn't stingy in giving grades. That's the only plus point that is in him, the rest of the jutek runs out. The old effect of being single is like that, being a spinster. He is already in his thirties.
My car entered the campus parking lot. From afar I saw Arini just got out of the car, she was accompanied by her lover, Angga. They are in different campuses, but Angga's campus is only half an hour from here.
Angga is a student majoring in engineering, so his campus schedule is not as early as ours. Their lectures are relaxed, mostly practice rather than theory.
"Hay, Za! Did you come on time!?" said Arini while walking hand in hand next to me.
"Normally, the class is a killer lecturer, so you don't have to look for it," I explained.
"Hee-hee, the other kids are the same too his mind is with us," said Arini.
"Ehh, do you know the hottest gossip this week?" said Arini excitedly.
"Is there anything warmer than the fries in our canteen?!" I said.
"Haa-haa, it's hotter than freshly cooked fries!" Arini jokes.
"What the hell, so curious about this," I said.
"Do you want to know or do you really want to know?" Arini starting to piss me off.
"Hm, invite noise!" I said.
"Eeh, look at that, the source of gossip on campus this week!" Arini pointed at the naughty boy who made a scene yesterday.
"As I thought, that guy must be the source of the gossip!"
"I hate to hear all about him! It doesn't matter," I said curtly.
Arini i who wanted to tell a story became silent, she was not excited because I didn't like hearing gossip from her. We were silent and walked to class and sat in our respective chairs. Just walked into class, Miss Tina already come and greet all the students.
"Good morning everybody," he greeted.
"Morning, Miss," we said in unison.
"Alright, this morning I would like to ask you guys to collect an assignment, which I gave you three days ago!" he ordered.
Some of the students sounded noisy, surely they had not finished the task that Miss Tina had given them. Usually the assignments are only collected once a week. Well, it's only been three days that he has been billed.
*******
With leisurely steps, I came to the front of the class to collect assignments. Followed by other friends. As usual, those who have completed assignments must present a presentation in front of the class to get additional points from Miss Tina.
Based on the value of the assignment, Miss Tina named the students who came forward for the presentation. Again, I was the first to be called upon to come forward.
"Prepare for Zahra, please come forward!" he ordered.
"All right, Miss," I replied.
Fluently and using English, I describe all the results of the assignment according to what is written in the notebook. One more thing that makes me superior to other friends is that the English pronunciation is very precise.
Unlike most people, who seem to memorize words. Until it sounds stiff how to pronounce it. Of course I can speak English fluently, because since school Teka has studied and tutored English until high school.
Mother put me in a two-language-based school. Namely: Arabic and English. I have known these two languages since Teka's time at Islamic school.
Alhamdulillah, I am able to read the Qur'an and speak English well. Even though Miss Tina is a killer and a jerk, she doesn't cheap to give value. Finished the presentation at in front of the class, he gives an A+ in the book my assignments and notes.
Many discordant voices say I'm too privileged, against the son of a famous businessman in this city. It's their right to say anything behind my back. What is clear is that I never took advantage of my parents' wealth and big name.
