Chapter 9 - Chapter 8

I finally started to calm down enough to trust myself to speak.

"What does it make me now, and how is it possible?" I looked into his eyes, waiting for an answer.

He looked back at me with so much love in his eyes, "It makes you the most powerful being on the earth, my love, you have all the strengths and no weaknesses. You might change at the full moon now since you were already half werewolf. But, you don't have to feed off of blood to live as vampires do. You're not allergic to silver, or UV rays. You have their strength and their speed. You can walk the world unseen if you wanted it that way, no one could find you if you didn't want them to." He finished rubbing the tears I hadn't known I was secreting off of my cheeks.

I pulled away from him as the touch of his thumbs on my face shocked me again. "Why are you calling me love, and what is happening to us?" confusion prominent on my face.

He grabbed me hard enough that I couldn't pull away from him this time, and he whispered, "You're my mate, Yelena." as he nipped the nape of my neck.

My confusion turned to anxiety, and I started to hyperventilate. Breath. A voice whispered through my mind again.

"Who are you?" I asked, bewildered.

"I am you," was all I heard before I passed out.

Kiah was the first one to speak again as he picked me up. "Where's your spare bedroom?" he asked Kyle.

He pointed down the hallway, "straight and to the right." He grabbed Kiah's arm softly. "How long have you known she was your mate?" He asked quietly.

He looked at Kyle and smiled. "Since the minute she walked through my front door."

Kyle gave him a look of surprise, "Why couldn't she feel it?" he asked, confused.

As Kiah walked further away from Kyle, he replied, "that is a story for tomorrow. She will want to know the answer herself first." He rounded the corner to the bedroom and shut the door behind him.
