The sun came out, the chirping of birds sounded. The grass and leaves that were wet because of the dew were sparkling under the sunlight. The bustling people also excitedly began their busy life.
No exception for the tall and slender girl wearing her high school uniform and a backpack on her back right now. She was biking toward her school leisurely.
Raina Andrawiyata was her name. She was now a third-grader in Manggis Fifth High School. She wasn't a very smart student nor a discipline one, she was just an ordinary student. At least when taking lessons, she would listen solemnly and would seriously study if there were exams later.
Her family's background was also ordinary, nothing special except having a small but well-known restaurant near her home. She, her mom, and her big brother depend on this small restaurant very much, for her father had long gone because of illness when she was a child.
However since last years, her family and the restaurant were facing a big problem, so the restaurant was currently closed until now as no one was willing to be their customers. They even had a big debt because of this incident.
To pay for the debt, they took all of their savings, only leaving a little bit of debt left. Since her big brother wasn't at home, Raina and her mom could only depend on each other and took some part-time jobs to pay for the small debt left. Even it was 'small', for them, it was still big. After two years of taking part-time jobs everywhere, yesterday they finally paid all the debt.
With this, Raina and her mom hadn't need to take part-time jobs anymore. Her mom planned to re-open their restaurant which almost closed for two years, and she can finally focus on her study.
Raina finally arrived at her school. There weren't many people left since it was near the lesson time.
Rather than riding straight in toward the parking lots, she stopped and parked her bike at the security place right beside the school gate.
The old security who's sitting reading a newspaper looked up after hearing the familiar biking sound. He folded the newspaper and stood up to greet her as usual, "Good morning, girl. You're pretty early today."
Raina got off of her bike and took a black plastic bag from the basket bike. She turned her head to look at the old man, who was still very healthy even at his old age, and grinned happily, "Morning, gramps. Well, there is no part-time job last night, so I can get up early this morning."
While talking, she gave him the plastic bag and the old security accepted it very naturally as they had already done it countless times.
Putting the plastic bag on the table, the old man nodded as he put his hands behind his back, "Good-good. Then go to your class, it's almost 7 o'clock."
Raina nodded and walked away while waving her hand smilingly, "See ya, gramps!"
The old security watched until her back couldn't be seen anymore before checking the inside of the plastic bag. There were two packed boxes of food and he opened it all. Noticing the dish was good as always, he sighed silently before closing all back.
He knew the conditions of her and her family. Even if she only gave them, the ordinary security, bottles of water, they would still let her park her bike safely in their place. Anyway, it was only one bike and didn't take up so much space.
A young man in the same uniform as the old man came in and spotted the plastic bag, couldn't help but raise his eyebrow in astonishment, "She comes early today?"
The old security answered while sitting again holding the folded newspaper, "Yes. She said she doesn't have part-time last night."
"That's good that she doesn't always late or her scores will be bad. Wait, I'll take in her bike first." The young security hurriedly went outside again without waiting for the old security's response.
The old security shook his head and opened the newspaper for him to continue reading.
The subject of their conversations, Raina, had just arrived at her class. The class which was originally very noisy became silent all of sudden at the sight of her. However, Raina was still leisurely walking to her table at the back without caring about the complicated gazes of her classmates.
As soon as she reached her table, she noticed new scratches written on it and found that the scratches had long dried. She habitually checked the probability of dangers on both her table and chair. Confirming that only the new scratches were added, under the weird gazes, she put down her backpack before sitting on it with a calm expression and put her head on the table lazily.
Some of the classmates found she didn't react at all, they felt boring then shifted their attention away.
Gazing at the clear blue sky through the window, Raina squinted her eyes.
Such a scene, she was used to it.
Before all of these started, she was still an ordinary student with many friends, and with her good body proportion and good-looking face, there were some pursuers. She also loved to join some sports competitions and bought back medals with pride for the school.
But her school life changed 180 degrees after an incident happened in her family. And the news was spread quickly like fire burning paper.
Since then, she never had any friends. They were all afraid of her and avoided her greatly as if she was some kind of disease. Some with a bit of courage would deliberately talk behind her back loudly, and some even dared to mess with her things. Yet no one dared to intimidate her directly.
Well, that was pretty good, saving her a lot of trouble.
At first, she was indeed mad at them but soon she realized that the more she responded to their humiliation of her, the happier they became. Since then she never really cared about them, and their indirect bullying to her also lessen a lot.
The best thing for her was her school. She felt thankful even with her family's reputation, the school was still willing to let her study here, although her chances of joining the competitions were pulled back. She even felt more thankful to the teachers who were also willing to give her justice when she was being 'bullied'.
Well, even they were doing it because of pity since they knew the truth unlike the students, it helped her greatly.
Ding-dong---
The sound of the bell rang loudly, the students stopped their conversations, hurriedly sat back on their seats, and took out the books based on the lesson schedule, the same goes for Raina.
Not long after, a beautiful and fashionable woman walked in. She was a young English teacher.
She stopped at the front class and greeted the students friendly, "Good morning, class."
"Good morning!" The whole class answered in unison.
The English teacher nodded in satisfaction at their spirited soul. She joked at them, "The contrast between today and yesterday is too big. Yesterday, you all look like a ghost."
Some students defended themselves.
"Teacher! We have to separate from holidays and be together again with books! How can we aren't sad at all?"
"That's right, teacher! We have to bid farewell to holidays!"
"We have to adapt to the serious school atmosphere again!"
"It's so hard!"
The teacher clicked her tongue at their complaints, "Tch, what nonsense. Just say you're all lazy."
Hearing this statement, some students laughed and admitted, while some still defended themselves, making the class excitedly noisy. Then they began to point at each other, suspecting they were the lazy ones.
Raina put her chin on her hand, enjoying such a picture. At school, the things she liked were actually at this kind of time. Where the students won't talk behind someone's back and very behaving, just focused on the teachers and the lessons.
The teacher waited for their excitement to pass before clapping her hands, "Alright-alright. Although today is the second day of a new semester you guys have to adjust yourselves quickly. Especially you're all in the third grade, and this semester is your last semester in this school. It's only months left before you go from this school through the exams. It sounds like you have a long time but it's a very short one. If you can't adjust and continue to be lazy, then not realizing that tomorrow is already the exams days, won't you face the exams unprepared?"
"Yes, teacher."
"Okay, so…"
The teacher hummed while glancing at the student faces one by one until reaching Raina who sitting on the back alone. She glanced at the empty table before smiling and asked Raina, "Rain, the table beside you is fine, right?"
Raina was stunned for a moment before standing up and going to check the table on her right. Confirming that nothing was strange, she stood up straight at stared at the teacher who was waiting for her.
"It's all good, teacher. It's always empty. Is it going to be used?" She asked curiously.
The English teacher smiled mysteriously, "Rain, go back to your seat first," then glanced at the whole class mysteriously, "You'll know~"
In curiosity, Raina sat back on her seat and looked at the teacher without blinking. The same goes for the other students.
The English teacher stretched her hand toward the door and said, "You guys have one more friend from today on!-- Handsome guy, why don't you come in?"
Hearing this, the whole class became noisy again, especially the girls after hearing the word 'handsome'. Even Raina couldn't help but look forward to seeing the new student at this kind of time.
Soon, the door was opened and a tall guy came in. As the teacher said, he was handsome. The way he smile was almost looked like smirking, and with his cool hairstyle also a piercing in his ear, he looked a lot like a wild bad boy.
That was what the students thought, except Raina. Seeing the familiar face she had seen in her neighborhood, she was truly shocked.
Amid the gasped of the girls and the silent defeat of the boys, Raina unconsciously called his name out loud in shock.
"Haydar?!" What the hell was this bear boy doing?!
The guy tilted his head after listening to the familiar voice calling him. He stopped beside the confused teacher and turned to look at a certain girl in the back.
Under the confusions of the whole class, he raised an eyebrow at the girl, and this time, he was smirking, "Hey, Nana. Knowing you have such a pitiful school life, I decided to accompany you. You should be happy after seeing me, okay?"
Raina's hands suddenly became itchy.
… This weirdo bear boy, what is he playing at?! Saying such a thing, is he asking for a beating?!

Haydar: "Beloved, I sacrificed my fun school life just for you, so you have to take responsibility for me, don't ignore me…"
Raina: "…I don't need your bear school life in the first place! That's your bear choice so I won't take responsibility! Just let me finish my school peacefully!"]
