Chapter 4 - Reveal

The Stranger was a young woman, a eearily beautiful one in that but the women had a few strange features that were not human. One was the pair of pure black eyes that stared back at him; on her forehead was a strange black mark that looked very similar to the ones that were inscribed on her blade. She had milky white skin, which looked very smooth and soft. Her long black hair, looked as if had been recently washed due to the shininess of it but couldn't tell of the length as it had been tucked into the back of cloak.

Morbent couldn't believe it, a women who looked so beautiful and so fragile was able to defeat one of his best men so easily.

"A..a..a..wo…woman" He stuttered still not able to believe it. He quickly regained himself and realised although it was a women, she was till the one that humiliated him and deserved to die for this.

"So this is the face of my next victim, you have now unleashed my wrath and should now cower in fear. I will personally come to take your life" Morbent stated before chanting a spell under his breath. A bright blue light surrounded him and the other men, when the light faded the three men had vanished.

The young women walked up to the bar and leant over to see that Jack was still sitting on the floor in a state of shock.

"Are you alright?" She asked politely. Jack looked up at the pretty face, she was very strange looking and Jack wondered if she was human.

"Maybe she an Half Elf or something" Jack thought to himself.

"…. Yes, I'm fine." Jack said standing up and looking around at his beloved tavern. There was a large puddle of blood on the floor and half of his furniture had been destroyed, he sighed he had a lot of cleaning up to do.

The young women placed a small bag on the counter, Jack looked at it quite puzzled.

"That should cover the damages and the information I want" She said pushing the bag towards jack. Jack picked up the small bag and looked in it; it was full of gold and silver coins. He had never seen so much in his life, whoever this woman was she had to be a daughter of a lord or something. He wouldn't be able to just repair the tavern he could properly build three more like it with this amount of gold and silver, he then remembered that she wanted information.

"You are very generous, Mi'Lady. To give me such bag full of gold, I would be honoured to help you with the information you need." Jack said politely and excitedly as he quickly walked out from behind the bar and went through the back door with the bag of money, he opened and placed the money in his safe and then closed it carefully and locked it. He then appeared through the door with a large happy grin on his face, this must be his lucky day ever. A mysterious young lady has given him a fortune for some broken tables and some information, he couldn't believe it.

"So, Mi'Lady. What do you wish to know?" Jack asked, totally forgetting what just happened.

The Young women went quiet for a moment as if she was contemplating what to say, she then took a folded piece of paper from underneath her cloak and unfolded it. She read it quietly to herself, if Jack could lip read he would of know what she was reading. After she had finished, she folded the piece of paper again and placed it back within her cloak. She looked up and gave Jack and sweet smile, and then the smile faded.

"I need to know the location of Lord Ashton, I heard rumours that he had recently died and came back to life. When he came back to life he disappeared into the underworld of this city, I need to find him." The Young lady stated.

"Hmm, Lord Ashton. I also heard those rumours it's true except for the part about dying and coming back to life, he did disappear about a month ago. He was a well respected Lord, quite handsome too. Couldn't keep all the young ladies away, although he was known to have of slept with most of them. Who knows why he just disappeared but I might be able to help you to find him. According to my sources, he was spotted by several witnesses. That was about a week ago at the Trade district but the only way into that district is through Angelsway gate, unfortunately the gate is always closed at night and the only way in is if you where in there before the gate was locked. That's all I know, I'm afraid" Jack went on. By the time Jack had finished the young lady was heading towards the door.

"Hey wait, Mi'Lady. You won't be able to get in there now; I have a spare room that I keep for emergencies. If you want, you could have it on the house and try the district tomorrow when the gate is open." Jack called after her. She stopped but didn't turn around instead she kept looking straight ahead, at the door.

"Thank You but no thanks, I'll be fine. By the way, if anyone asks about me. You didn't see me, ok?" She said as she raised both her hands and grabbed her hood and pulled it over her head; she then opened the door and walked out into the dark streets.

Jack watched as she left, and thought to himself what a strange day it had been. He went to the back and came out with a bucket and a mop; he went and started to mob up the blood puddle.
