Chapter 10 - Bye, Yuana

Broken, that was how Bobby felt. It was completely unimaginable that his life would suddenly turn upside down so bad. It was destroyed in a glace of time. With a limp Bobby entered the room. He was sitting in the chair with a blank stare.

"God, what do you want? Why?" Bobby clenched his fists that were on the table. He tried to hold back the tears that were starting to form in his eyes.

"Yuan ..." His girl's beautiful face appeared in his mind, with her beautiful long hair back. "How can I tell you about this? You're bound to be screwed. You're not doing very well. You're still fragile. How could I possibly have the heart to say all this?"

Bobby sighed. His chest hurt. Everything was dark and a dead end in front of him.

"Manfred. Yes, Manfred ..." Bobby stood. "I'll talk to Manfred."

Bobby took the jacket, the motor ignition. He said goodbye to his mother and immediately left the house, headed for Manfred's. When he arrived, his friend was playing guitar on the terrace of the house.

"Hi, buddy! You came without any message," said Manfred.

Bobby walked over to Manfred. Manfred put down his guitar as soon as he saw Bobby's languid face.

"What's up, man? You look so upset," said Manfred. Of course, he was surprised by Bobby's change. That day they had fun together. Then what did he see on Bobby's face?

"There's something important I have to tell you." Bobby was really serious. Manfred was confused. Bobby wasn't usually like this.

"What is this?" Manfred straightened up, getting serious.

"I'm going to get married, Fred," Bobby said with a sore heart.

"What? You and Yuana already ..." Manfred glared, completely taken aback by Bobby's words.

"No. I've never messed with Yuana. At least, I just kiss her on the cheek," said Bobby quickly.

"But you said, married?" Manfred was even more confused.

"I'm going to marry someone else ..." Bobby was also at a loss as to how to begin to explain what he was praying for. He still couldn't believe it himself.

"Bob ... you're not kidding, are you?" Again, Manfred's eyes bulged.

"Look at me, Fred. Do you look like I'm joking?" Bobby insisted.

"But ... Bob."

Streamed what Bobby heard, which had just happened at his house. His father's crazy request made Bobby feel like he was not touching the earth. Manfred hit his head in disbelief. He also felt panicked and weak.

"Fred ... I can't bear to tell Yuana. She's also been such a mess lately. I can't imagine her knowing I had to leave her and marry someone else." Bobby looked down. It hurt. So much ...

"Bob, no matter how bitter you are, you better be honest to her."

"Yeah, you're right, I'll definitely tell her. But not now. I just still have to organize my heart," said Bobby. Feeling really messed up. "Fred, I know you can help Yuan. Apart from me, you are the closest to Yuan all along. Stay by Yuan's side, Fred. Help me ..."

"But, Bob ..."

"Fred, please promise me ... for Yuan, for our friendship." Bobby grabbed Manfred's shoulder.

"Okay ..." Seeing this situation, it was so complicated, maybe for a while, it was better for Yuana did not know what happen to Booby.

"Thank you. I know I can always count on you." Bobby was now hugging his best friend.

Manfred shook his head, still hoping this was all just a dream or Bobby's imagination.

"I don't know what is in my mind, Fred. It was all gone, ruined in a matter of minutes." Bobby tried to smile, wryly.

Bobby could still smile! Manfred couldn't describe how he felt seeing that.

"You're great, Bob. You have the guts to face this. If I did, I might just run away. It's been tough, so hard," Manfred said.

Both were silent. The night began to fall.

The days before Bobby moved to Surabaya, he spent quite a lot of time with Yuana. He wanted to close the togetherness with Yuana as sweet as possible. Bobby tried to act as casual and cheerful as the day before. Recreational farewell at school, graduation from high school, he enjoyed everything. He wanted to see Yuana always smiling.

That afternoon, the day before leaving, he spent time at Yuana's house. As usual, the house was quiet. Only Yuana and Ira were there. Ira made them snacks and drinks. Then she continued to clean up inside and cook.

"Yu, I changed my plan. I will continue to study in Surabaya," said Bobby.

"Why? Why all of a sudden?" Yuana was shocked to hear that.

"It's a bit sudden, you are right. In the end, Dad wanted me there, so he said it would be better. I can't refuse, Yu. He wants the best for me." Bobby used this as an excuse to calm Yuana down with the news he was leaving.

"So, we will have a long-distance relationship, then." Yuana immediately sad.

"We have no choice." It hurt to say this. But Bobby let go of a natural expression.

Yuana pursed her lips.

"Don't be so sluggish. I'll still miss you, love you." Bobby pinched Yuana's cheek gently.

"Well ..." Yuana was not relieved yet. "I'll have to keep in contact later, it must be strange that you suddenly aren't by my side."

Bobby just smiled. "This heartache. If you knew what I would experience. If I could be transformed into two, one stays, and one goes to Surabaya. But I have no power," Bobby thought.

Ira appeared, inviting Yuana and Bobby to eat together. The two of them headed for the dining room. While eating they continued to talk.

"How is Yoel?" Bobby asked.

"He's great. He's a supervisor now. He's also continuing his master's degree there. He has another girlfriend. Her name is Victoria Daniella. He said she's of European descent. Victoria is so beautiful." Excited, Yuana talked about Yoel.

"Well, good to hear this." Bobby smiled.

"Yeah, I really want to meet him. He'll come home sometime. Just don't know when." Yuana was happy to talk about Yoel.

"You and Manfred have settled on the same college." Bobby cut the meat with a spoon and fork "I'm calm as long as Manfred is with you."

"Still different, Bob. He's my best friend, you love me ..." Yuana's voice was spoiled.

Bobby laughed. It hurts to hear that. "I have to let you go, Yuana." He shouted in his heart.

Half an hour later Bobby said goodbye. In front of the house, Bobby looked at Yuana while holding her hands.

"Yu, I love you. So deep. Remember that, I always love you ..." It was the end of his time with Yuana. He didn't want to leave, he didn't want to let go, but he had no choice.

"I know, Bob." Yuan smiled. Beautiful.

Bobby pulled Yuana in his arms. He inhaled the fragrance of Yuana's hair which he liked. He hugged her tightly. Then he kissed her forehead.

Yuana wondered why this guy was so romantic. So far, Bobby had been a bit clumsy. He was not very fond of hugs. But Yuana enjoyed it. Her heartfelt was very comfortable with Bobby's affection.

Bobby left, walking towards the yard. As soon as he left Yuana's house, on the motorbike, Bobby's tears flowed like rain, even flooding.

"Yuan, I love you very much, I do. I'm sorry. I had to leave you. You don't know what life I will lead later. I still feel like I'm in a deep black hole myself." Bobby spoke in his heart.

"Lisa, what is she like? Was her life that hard so mom and dad forced me to accept Lisa? Ah, I don't know, what will happen, just let it happen." Bobby continued to drive home.
