"The accident was very serious. So, he did not survive." It was with a heavy heart that the police conveyed the news.
"No!! No!! Dad, no ..." Lisa fainted.
Bobby was very surprised. Immediately Bobby lifted Lisa's body and took her to the closest front room.
It was unbelievable. The tomb of Amara had not dried yet. Then, they had to accept the fact that Widyo went after his wife. Bobby's chest felt full. He could only look at Lisa who was lying weak. Meanwhile, Dewita tried to resuscitate Lisa.
Widyo's funeral was held on the same day. Only family in attendance and a few close friends. Lisa tried to be strong even though she kept shedding tears. Losing both her parents at once in three days was a nightmare that she never thought of.
Who would want to overlook such a misfortune? Orphans, no siblings after father and mother died at almost the same time. If it wasn't Bobby with her, how would Lisa face it all?
"I don't have anyone now. Is it wrong if I get angry, Bob? Is it wrong if I say God doesn't care about me?" Lisa wiped her wet eyes. She was tired of crying, but her tears couldn't seem to stop.
"Lis, you have me now. My father and mother are your parents too. We are family. I am your husband. I will always be with you, by your side. You will not be alone anymore. Never." Bobby comforted Lisa. Bobby felt his heart was melting. Everything in front of him was like a drama story.
"We can't blame God for what happened. He never wrongly allowed anything to happen. But He gave us the strength to endure it." Again, Bobby comforted Lisa.
Lisa looked at Bobby gratefully. "Thank you. Because you wanna come for me. You are like an angel that God sent for me. If you weren't here, I might kill myself."
"Don't say that, Lis," Bobby said. "Don't ever think about it."
"You were the first man in my life. The best friend I ever had. And I'm grateful for that." Lisa's eyes were wet again, she immediately wiped them.
After a few days, Lisa began to calm down and was able to face the harsh reality that happened to her. Bobby's father and mother still stayed with them. Especially with Lisa, because Bobby had to come to college.
"Now the two of you live in this house. It's good. And I'm sure, next year this house will be more crowded. We can hear your baby's voice all around the house," said Dewita.
Bobby and Lisa smiled. Bobby's parents didn't know they were sleeping separately. If they found out, it could be Dewita would nag at Bobby. Lisa wasn't ready. Bobby didn't want to push her either. He himself still hadn't completely forgotten about Yuana either. It was hard for him to be intimately close to another woman if his heart was still filled Yuana.
"If you have time to, go to Malang. Let Lisa know where we live," said Berto before leaving.
"Yeah, sure, Dad," Bobby said firmly.
No parents anymore around them. Just Lisa and Bobby. Lisa felt awkward alone with Bobby. Actually, Bobby was the same. But he could better hide the awkwardness.
"Lis, I think I should find a part-time job." Bobby spoke his mind that afternoon, as they prepared dinner together.
"Job, Bob? How about your study?" Lisa was a bit taken aback by Bobby's words.
"I won't quit. I'll look for work outside of college. My father did say that he would pay for our living expenses while I was in college. However, I think that the sooner I can earn my own income, the better. We have our own family. It's not good to depend on our parents. keep going," Bobby explained.
"Maybe I can find any work too. I'm unemployed. No college, no work. I need to be busy." Lisa came to think that she should be able to do something.
"Yeah, fine. As long as you can smile more after this," Bobby said.
He looked at Lisa's face. Bobby liked Lisa's small round eyes with curly eyelashes. Bobby also liked her straight black hair. It was fitting for her pretty cute face. Lisa was slightly taller than Yuana.
"Bob ..." Lisa wasn't comfortable being seen like that by Bobby.
"Ha??" Bobby woke up from his daydream.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" said Lisa quietly. She became awkward with Bobby's gaze.
"You're beautiful." Bobby smiled.
Lisa blushed hearing that. Lisa began to fall in love with Bobby. But she hasn't realized it yet. She just felt so lucky that Bobby was by her side supporting her through the difficult situations in her life.
"Really. I'm just telling the truth, I am." Bobby smiled again.
"Well …" Lisa's face turned red.
Bobby smiled wider. It was also funny to see Lisa shy.
"I'm going to my room now, Lis." Bobby stood up.
"When do you want to meet Yuana?" Lisa stopped Bobby's steps.
Bobby raised his eyebrows. Lisa was still thinking about Yuana and Bobby's unfinished business.
"I don't know. You're alone now. I can't leave you here, Lis." Bobby hadn't even thought about when to meet Yuana, because he wanted to focus on Lisa, making her comfortable since her parents left.
"I'm coming with you. I want to meet your mom and dad. I wanna know your childhood house," said Lisa.
"Okay. Friday afternoon, we're leaving. So, we'll stay two nights there. On Sunday afternoon, we'll be back here." Bobby agreed.
Finally, Friday afternoon they took the train going to Malang. The first time after three months Bobby moved to Surabaya. Bobby's parents were surprised but they were very happy to see the two of them coming. Bobby deliberately didn't say he was going home. He only contacted Manfred saying he would come.

Saturday morning Bobby came to Manfred's house. That day Manfred did not go to campus. Meeting again, the two hugged tightly to release miss.
"Finally, I can see your face again. How are you, Bro?" welcomed Manfred.
"Yes, I am fine. You look fresh too," said Bobby.
"I slept mostly." Manfred chuckled. "How's Lisa?"
"She's at my house." Bobby sat down next to Manfred.
"Oya? Why don't you invite me here? I want to know my best friend's wife." Manfred poked Bobby's arm lightly.
"I want to go to Yuana's directly. It was Lisa who asked me to come. She said I had to immediately settle my business with Yuana. She can't continue to misunderstand," explained Bobby.
"Ooh, she's so nice." Manfred was quite surprised to hear that.
"You know, Fred. In three days, she lost her parents. Both." Bobby looked at Manfred straight.
"How could that be?" Manfred widened his eyes in shock.
Bobby also told the incident of Amara and Widyo's death that shocked them. Especially Lisa. Manfred was speechless. How hard that Bobby had to go through. In an instant, his life seemed to be turned upside down.
"Bob, you look a lot maturer now. It's just that you're a little skinny. Are you feeling depressed?" Manfred asked.
"I think so. But I'm trying to be strong." Bobby smirked.
"You're amazing, Bob. I'm proud to be your friend." Manfred patted Bobby on the shoulder.
"Ah, you can see my head bigger." Bobby's smile widened.
Not until an hour later Bobby head for Yuana's house. Ira opened the door. She was surprised to see Bobby in front of the house.
"Bobby? Come on in! Wow, what a surprise, long time no see. Miss Yuana is in the living room," Ira greeted kindly.
"Thank you." Bobby entered and headed for the living room. Ira was behind Bobby.
"Who is ..." Yuana did not continue her words. She stared blankly at Bobby who was standing looking at her.
"Bobby ..." Yuana slowly said Bobby's name. Ira left both of them. She knew they both needed time to talk.
