"Why do you look so shocked to see me? Klinsmann asked with a puzzled look on his face..
"And why have you been behaving cold to me since we entered this building ? She asked back as a means to avoid answering his question.
"You heard what the captain said.we can no longer work together I only came here to ensure you are okay. I heard your suspect escape? He asked with a sly smile on his face an indication that he was happy with that information.
"Thank you for your concern. I can see you really take this as a competition. You can take anybody you want to take from our former team but you must leave Brain and Eric to me" she said walking away from him with bitterness in her heart.
She instantly concluded that she was never going to tell Klinsmann about the true crimes of Pedro because that would mean he would get his suspect and she will loss her supposed suspect. Another reason is that she doesnt know what Captain Neon whould do if he discovers Pedro. He might just silently ask people to kill him. She didn't really care about him for now but they are alot of blind spot that she needs to clear before she thinks of what to do to him.
As she walks down yo her office she was met by Eric her computer Wizard .
"Ma'am we have a problem" he stated as she approached him.
"Speak to me Eric " She demanded impatiently.
"The camares around the interrogation rooms in fact all the cameras were disconnected before the escape of the suspect. So we cannot tell how he escaped ,the exit he took or who helped him" He reported to her .
The news immediately made Haley suspicious.
She signalled to him to follow him to her office.As they were going she was met by Brain who was coming to give a report also. She motion him to just keep quiet and follow her also.
Immediately they got to the office she lockef the door but made sure to first have a peep to ensure no one was coming close to her office .
"I want both go you to sit down " she demanded as she watched them take their seats while she remained standing with confused looks on their faces .
"From now henceforth you will only be working on this case. The death of Joan Peterson is our first priority now and this is just the team. No one else will join us. The other members of our team must have been taken by Klinsmann . This is a sought of competition that has been put in place he is to find my abductors and i am to find the killers . Who ever wins will get the position of the inspector " She explained to them as she packed from one side to another. She wanted to make them understand everything that was going on so they will know how to go about things.
"It goes without saying that i will not like whatever is discussed here to be shared outside . is that clear? She asked
"Yes ma'am " they both chorused as they exchanged glances probably wondering why she chose them.
To Haley Brain and Eric were the two people she could trust. They were not really the best but she noticed they were more loyal to her than klinsmann hence she picked them. She reasoned she will force the best out of them.
"Eric has given me a report that all the cameras were disconnected before the escape of the suspect. Brain what did you have for me?
" ma'am there is no other point in the ceiling that was used as a means of escape. Since the cameras were down i am sure he must have used the door and probably only thought of using the ceiling . some good amount of blood was located around the male bathroom. I have sent the blood sample to the lab for a test to be carried out on it. " Brain reported .
"That is good very good work. I am sure he must have escaped but we will be able to find him soon i am sure if that . Meanwhile send the word out that access to that interrogation room is no longer for everyone. It is just for our team and no one should go into it for now i want to personally inspect that place after now " She ordered again.
She reasoned that since the camera were down it means no one saw her go into that room and no one heard their conversation. It also translate to the fact that no one knows Pedro was still in the room. She would need to get other information from him before allowing everyone else know of his presence.
"Ma'am I must confess that you look very calm with this present situation. I had though the disappearance of the suspect would have made you very angry now" Brain observed with his tongue between his teeth.
Haley smiled to herself. How can she not be calm when she knew he was still in the room.
As she wanted to give an excuse a loud knock landed on her door.
Everyone in the room exchanged glances. No one would dare knock her door in such manner unless the person was important
