Instead of a reply Pedro got up from the chair to a space beside her. Haley immediately felt nervous when he did that but she tried not to show it.
"Do you remember the time we spent together? Pedro asked as the smile on his face vanished into a cold stare that pricked Haley.
To her there was nothing really special about the moments they spent together then. From the moment her father told her of an engagement with the family of Anthony she swore to just play with the heart of any man who would come her way. So for a whole year with Pedro that was what she did. The moment she began to feel something real for him she immediately ended the relationship.
Although this version of Pedro was really fancinating for her as her line of duty have made her develop a thing for bad strong men and those characters were what he was possessing right now coupled with his smartness that he showed many times while they were still at school.
"The focus is not on me right now we should be focused on you. You are the one who is in a lot of trouble right now" she replied trying to avoid his question.
He stamped his foot on the ground to establish authority that he was the one in charge but Haley was quick to remind him of something.
"If you make too much they will know outside that I am not the only one here so do well to keep it low " she reminded him.
He immediately went quiet but the cold look on his face was still there.
"So tell me what really happened. Everything you know after helping you then you can do whatever you want " she said trying to make it sound like she didn't really care what he did to her but deep down she prayed that she will be able to make up to him by helping him solve this case.
"I work with BigJo private security company and then I was assigned to work in the minister's house. I have been with BigJo for over three years and I have been working in the minster's house for six months now. I recently have to replaced one of the personal guards of the minster's daughter who under went a surgery . That particular day she informed us of a ceremony she wanted to attend together with the time she would come out for it. I calculated that I would be able to abduct you and then quickly come back to my position base on the time she gave us but before I came back that was when I heard she was murdered. I honestly have no hand in her death " Pedro explained without any emotion in his voice. He gesture that suggested to Haley that he wasnt even making any effort to appeal to her emotions.
Haley quickly reached for her laptop to search something out. That name BigJo wasn't a very familiar one but it was one she once had the course to investigate after a complain was lodged about it. It was a private security with a dark side that she was unable to unravel during hee search for answer. All her efforts at finding out what they really do was met with stiff opposition.
"Is BigJo really a security company? She asked aloud more to herself. She was reading one of the questions she left unanswered in her investigation then.
"Excuse me? Pedro asked looking at her with a confused look on his face to suggest he didn't understand where shr was coming from with that question.
"Oh I am sorry. I was only thinking about something " She quickly apologized as she didn't want to revisit that case yet.
"Did you get to hear anything or see anything suspicious before you left? She asked hoping to get something from him.
" The only thing that happened that morning was that I heard her exchange hot words with someone on the phone. She said she was going to expose the person and ruin the happiness of that person. That was the only thing I heard. Maybe if we get her phone we would be able to make sense of it " Pedro Suggested as he stood up with deep frown on his face.
Haley immediately remembered that she never got to ask about the phone or heard anything about Joan's phone from anyone. She wanted to immediately make a call to Brain but the look on the face of Pedro who was now standing close to her window suggested to her that something is wrong.
"What is the problem? "She asked with concern
