The weeks went by and we finally reached Crete. It was a deserted island with not much but trees on it. We had to climb up the mountain and according to the guides, there was a hole which was where the labyrinth was. I climbed up using my knife to hold on to the rocks so I was the first to climb there. I looked down at the sea which was slightly red from the sacrifices across the years. "The Minotaur is about three thousand years old and the sacrifices started two thousand years ago so the water has become tainted" said the guide climbing over the ledge. The others arrived soon after and we jumped down into the labyrinth.
The walls were filled with paintings of the minotaur torturing it's victims and the halls were filled with the stench of blood. "What is this smell?" asked Orion covering his nose, "It's like rotting corpses".
"Yes because we have to do At least a sacrifice every month so it smells bad" said the guide. Suddenly, we heard a loud scream which echoed through the halls. "The Minotaur sensed that someone's here" said Theseus. I was confused. How did it realise even though we'd just entered minutes ago. "We'll have to be careful then, let's throw a distraction, preferably the kid" said Orion. "Shut up Orion, we should sacrifice you" said the archer. I ignored them and kept walking. I had a plan to throw my knife then pull it back to get it's attention and try to get the last blow in to look cool.
Ten minutes passed by and we still didn't encounter the beast. Everyone had gone silent, trying to listen to any noise made by the Minotaur. We'd heard two more roars since the last and the guide says that it meant it was pleased. That meant we could still catch it by surprise since it wasn't expecting us to try kill it. "Let's pause for a bit, we need to think of plan" said Theseus sitting down. "So what's the Minotaur's room like?" I asked sitting.
"It's about the area of the boat so all of you can enter but we're going now so, good luck" he said walking away. "Ah ok, so all close range fighters should go in first and the spearmen should keep it at bay from reaching the long ranged, I'll probably stay back since I'm not physically strong" I said. "And why should I listen to you?" asked Orion.
"Because it's a better plan than what you could think of" said the Archer, "Let's use that".
Hours passed and we finally caught glimpse of the room and began to move slower. Han and Theseus rushed forwards into the room and the spearmen followed. I entered the room and saw the Minotaur. It was slightly taller than Orion and had long curved horns. It's eyes were pitch black and smoke blew out of it's nose. It's lower half had the body of a bodybuilder and had veins popping out from them. Han's blade sunk into it's fur and it shrieked before shaking him off violently. It barged past them and tried to get to us but was interrupted by the spearmen. Arrows pierced it's body. "Aim for it's eyes Atlanta" yelled Orion. I threw my knife into it's forehead, narrowly missing it's eyes. Han and Theseus slashed it's neck and the second volley of arrows came. Blood spilled and it turned it's attention to Han and Theseus. The plan was working, the close ranged people were doing damage and keeping it's attention while the spearmen guarded us.
The beast punched Theseus' stomach, knocking him into the wall. As the dust cleared, he stumbled back up. It charged at Han and bashed him with it's horns. Luckily, since they were curved, he didn't get stabbed but was more hurt than Theseus. The spearmen approached and tried to stab it but it span itself around. They were flung into Orion which meant it was only me, the archer Atlanta and Pearl who said she knew how to use a bow. I threw my knife and hit it's eye which was easier since it was closer. It was stunned for a bit and the spearmen stabbed it's back. Han and Theseus stabbed it's head and toe. Arrows pierced it's chest and knees. It stumbled and the spearmen pinned it down onto the floor. We all rushed forwards and attacked it. It got up through the pain and reached out it hands then span around. All of us were pushed back except for the archers. My life flashed and I blacked out.
I woke up again and saw everyone else except for Theseus blacked out. Han and Pearl were gone and I was underneath the giant Orion. His blade sank into the bleeding beasts Heart and it collapsed. He pulled back his sword and the heart was stuck onto it. I then blacked out again. I awoke on the boat in my room. My body ached because of the Minotaur and Orion crushing me. I looked out of the window and saw it was night. It would take another three weeks to get there so it would be boring. Suddenly, wind began blowing and a bolt of thunder split the night sky, turning it to a dull grey. The waves grew and the boat began to rock around. I slid off my bed and crawled back onto it, tucking myself into the sheets so that it wouldn't hurt. A storm couldn't destroy the paradox so I decided to go to sleep to no avail. I got on my knees and went into the hall. Suddenly, the boat began to spiral around and I was flung into the wall. I blacked out again.
I awoke again in the hall. I crawled up the stairs and saw where we were. It was the sea, we were in it and still alive. I looked to my right and saw, the water city.
