Chapter 31 - Quando verao chegar

The weeks went by and we reached Athens again. I got off the boat and we went off to the castle. The people shouted Theseus' name out as we walked through the streets and guards had to block them. I looked back at Theseus and he didn't look very happy. We reached the castle and went to the throne room but on the throne, there wasn't anyone. "Where's father?" he asked the guard.

"Your father is... dead" he said looking down at the floor. Theseus didn't say anything but walked out of the room. We heard wailing from the other room but didn't none of us came to him except for Ariadne.

I waited outside since it was awkward inside. "Here, a map". I looked and saw Herma reaching his hand out to me. He was beaten up and had bags under his eyes. "Thanks but, what happened to you?" I asked taking the map.

"Nothing" he said walking away. I looked at him as he was walking away. He was limping and looked like he was in pain. "Was it the soldiers?" I asked but he didn't respond and kept limping away. It was the soldiers. I looked at the map and there were four hills and on top of them were towers but I could go from the back one which was destroyed recently but if I didn't arrive fast enough, it would be fixed. Han and Pearl finally left with three bags full of money.

I took mine and went back to blacksmith. "It will take about two days" he said. I left the room and checked how much I had left. I had ten million left which was enough for the journey there and I'd still have money left. Theseus was still inside and so I never saw him again. We went to the town hall and bought a small house. It was in a poorer area which I hadn't seen before except for in Sparta but they weren't farmers here. People slept in alleys and bottles of beer were around the streets. I covered my nose to hide from the stench. I found the house and it was even smaller than I thought. I entered and the walls were run down and there were blood stains on the wall. This was far different from the castle and made me wonder, who the king really was before he died.

Two days went by and the rope was supposed to be done so I went over to the castle. He handed me the rope and I tied it through the hole in the knife and my wrist. I threw it at a tree then pulled back and it seemed good. This was my last day in Athens though so I went back home to wake the others up. I bought a ticket for the boat this night and waited it out by walking across Athens. It was a much darker place than I'd imagined and I even witnessed some crimes happen around.

Night fell and the boat came. It was bigger than the others but costed around the same amount which was strange. I got on and went to the roof. I looked into the sea and imagined what I'd say when I saw my mom again. We'd probably have to run from the place again though or else the soldiers would attack us. We could come back to Athens or go somewhere else depending on what she wanted. The journey would take us about three months since it was an isolated continent. I went into my room and began playing the song she'd taught me until I fell into sleep.

Morning came and I woke up at three. I had nothing to worry about anymore so I could sleep until I wanted. I got up and brushed my teeth then went back into my bed. It was a bit less boring than before now that I had my phone and could watch things but I couldn't focus because of my thoughts about meeting my mother again. I finally got up and saw something in the distance. It was a thick yellow fog which I couldn't see through. The people where panicking but the boat kept on going forwards. I went to the front of the boat and squinted but still couldn't see anything. I rushed to where the captain was but found him asleep in his cabin. The door was locked and no matter how hard I slammed against the door, he kept on sleeping. He was dead.

I didn't want to waste time in a fog and from the yellow colour I could make out in the distance, it wasn't a normal fog. If the tower was built before I reached the place, it would be harder to get in and I could even die. I looked back and tried to find the rest of the crew but they were all dead. The people were more panicked and I took out my knife. I hurled it to the window and broke it. I leaped through the big crack and went into the room. I tried to steer the wheel but it wasn't budging. I shouted to someone, "Hey, could you steer the boat away from the fog?". He jumped in and pulled to no avail. The boat was going into the fog and no one could stop it.

As we came closer, I could make out a giant in the distance. It looked like a woman holding a basket which was where the fog was coming from but she wasn't moving. I looked at her legs and saw bumps of varying sides meaning, it was an island.
