Four days passed until we caught sight of Athens. It was a beautiful city with a large castle at the other end and a deep blue river flowing through it's centre and behind it, there was a tall mountain which pierced through the clouds. "Oh, so that's gonna be..." said Theseus running down the steep hill. We slid down and could now see the giant stone gate. "I think we can reach it today!" I said trying to run after him. After half an hour of running, we reached the Country's capital. "Tomorrow let's go to the castle, it's getting dark" he said laying out some sleeping bags.
The next day came and we went to the castle. "What do you want to tell the King?" asked the guards blocking us with their spears. "I am his son and I have come to meet the King" said Theseus barging through. They stumbled back before raising the spear at his neck. "Oh really, if you are then the King has ordered us to give you a mission" he said lowering his spear.
"What is it" said Theseus turning back around to face the guard. He grinned creepily and said, "Defeat Sirciam in a hand to hand fight". Theseus' eyes widened and he looked shocked. "Theseus, who is that?" asked Pearl. He didn't respond and walked past us. Sirciam must've been someone deadly because Theseus was the strongest person I'd seen. "I'm sorry but I have to go train, let's meet again in a week" he said.
We went back into the main city and quickly found the town hall because it had a sign unlike the other cities. We got a house which we didn't have to work as much for since we had money and food from before. I went out and played some songs for a bit. I played the song of the cyclops this time which was the second time I'd done so. I bought some water and went back home. I did the workout again and by now I had built up more muscle and became more athletic. Han had also gotten more muscle and could now probably come close to killing the boar. Soon night came and we slept.
The next day came and I woke up later than usual. I jumped up and bolted to my guitar. Usually that lasted about two hours so it'd be three by the time I finished. I then had to do the workout which would take me an hour or so then buy water bottles which were near the castle which was two hours away then come back. All of that would make me come back at eight. All of this meant that I had no time to practise the style.
The next day came and I woke up early again. It'd been two days since Theseus left to train and five days until he had to fight Sirciam. I'd been developing a style which fit me. I called it "Tara knife fighting" which was obviously named after me. The stance wasn't too hard, it was just placing one leg a bit back so you could jump forwards or backwards. The swings were mostly based on the sword slashed Theseus had taught me. I also began making a hole through the metal so that I could tie something between it and my arm so I could throw it and not run back. I planned to get a smith to craft it so that the monsters couldn't just slash it off but that needed a lot of money. I did the usual and then returned to practise throwing which was the main point of my style since most things and people could destroy me in a battle of power.
The next day came and I decided to go exploring to find a smith shop. "Hey do you know any blacksmiths around here?" I asked a bystander. I
"Of course! Don't you now of the God Hephaestus" he said surprised. I felt like I'd heard that before and thanked him. Apparently Hephaestus' shop was inside the castle so I'd have to go there again. I arrived and spoke to the guards stopped me with their spears. "What do you have with the King?".
"Nothing, I want to see Hephaestus and ask how much something is" I said. The guard pulled out a walkie talkie and called over an armed man holding a gun. "Is the armour just for show?" I asked as he escorted me. "Yes, it's to remember our victories against Sparta" he said smiling. It made sense. That was why the Spartans were much less evolved compared to this place with modern housed and mansions. "We're here" he said pushing the metal doors open, "Don't bother him too much, he's not in a good mood right now. It was a dimly lit room and across, was a man with piecing green eyes glaring at me. "O-oh, hey can I get the price for making a rope that is extendable yet durable?" I said shaking. He looked much scarier than I'd thought.
"That will be, ten thousand Drachma" he said. I froze. Usually I made a hundred Drachma each day so it'd take me a hundred days without counting when rent finished, food and water. "Ah okay, I won't be back in a while then, bye" I said leaving. I left the castle and went back to the house. I would have to use a normal rope. I still kept on practising throws and slashes.
Like that, the week went by and Theseus returned. The battle would be held in the small bit between the mountain and the wall. It was a battle which allowed anything but weapons and if Sirciam won... it would be the end of Theseus' life and the end of this journey. That would mean a lot, Theseus was the one teaching Han and most of the food we had was from his hunts and he was overall a good person.
