Chapter 23 - Entrada a Trozoe

Fifteen days went by and we reached Trozoe. Unlike the other places where we had to walk through a forest or something to get there, we were dropped off right at the city. It was a crowded place with interesting architecture. Most of the buildings were made out of some white material and in the distance was a temple with fourteen pillars. "Hey do you know where I can get a house" I asked a bystander. "You need to speak with the mayor" said the person before walking away in a hurry. I looked around and didn't see any other notable buildings so I went to the Temple. There, I saw many stone faces and flowers and other offerings under them but among them were, my mother.

I froze and looked around confused. "What happened?" asked Han.

"Nothing much" I said. But I was still confused. My mom wasn't a God. I didn't have abilities like Han or anything. I tried to ignore it but the thought plagued my mind. At the end of the dark hall, where stairs. We went down the stairs and there was another room. In the middle, two people fought, a boy around Han's age with curly blonde hair and piecing blue eyes and a tall man with a scar which ran from his forehead to his sharp chin. They were sparring with wooden swords and the man was winning by a bit. I figured they were master and student. The man raised his sword and hammered it down against the boy's, snapping it in half. "You've improved a lot Theseus" he said raising the boy back up. "Thanks master" he said smiling. I was a bit confused a to why he was smiling even though he'd just lost. They then turned to face me. "Wanna spar?" asked the boy. "Sure, but go easy please" I said picking a sword from the slots. I raised my sword and pointed it at him. "Three, two, one, go!" shouted the man. He dashed towards me and struck my liver. I wheezed then tried to bash his head. He blocked it and struck my stomach. I stumbled back and struggled to maintain my balance. I wasn't good at directly fighting, usually I threw the knife and used it as a distraction. He raised his weapon and smashed it down against my head. My vision blurred and I fell onto the ground. "Don't get distracted, anyways, wanna train here at the temple?" he asked lifting me up. He then turned to Han and asked, "Do you wanna spar?".

He nodded and got a wooden sword. "Three, two, one, go!". They charged at each other and clashed swords. Han began to lose power so he dashed to the side and swung his sword at Theseus' stomach. Theseus blocked and backed away to regain composure. They then dashed at each other again but this time struck one another on the head. Both stumbled but they kept on going at each other. By the end of five minutes, both were on there knees but still fighting. Theseus was probably stronger by a bit because he'd just fought two people. "Tie!" yelled the man. They both got up and shook hands. "Good fight" said Theseus. Han smiled and nodded. "Are you guys from around here?" he asked.

"No, we just arrived here" I said.

"Oh ok, do you need a room, if you do then we could let you sleep here for free" he said. That was a great deal. "Sure, thanks a lot!" I said excited. We could learn to fight and we got a place to sleep. That night we slept there in two rooms.

The next morning came and I went out with my guitar. I played all the songs I'd learnt and in an hour, I'd made ten Tenian which was enough to buy me ten bottles but I planned to give half to Theseus and the man for letting us stay there. I spent the rest on food and water. I came back and saw Han doing exercises. I realised how skinny we were. Pearl had gone out to get money too so she wouldn't be back in a while so it was just us three. "Ah, you're back" he said. "I got Han to train his strength since he's already got the basics so I recommend you do the same then I'll teach you the basics" he said, "You'll also have to eat much more because you're looking skinny and you have to get lots of sleep". I got down and did push ups. They were extremely hard and I barely managed to do ten. I rested for a bit then did ten squats which were slightly easier but still hurt. I stretched then did a plank for thirty seconds which were unexpectedly harder than they looked. I stretched again then did mountain climbers which was probably the easiest exercise. I rested for a bit then did pull ups. After I jogged around the city which helped me discover more places like the town hall and the school but I wasn't gonna go there ever again.

I came back tired. "You did well, now then, I'll teach you the basics of using swords" said Theseus. "First, I'll tell you how to hold one, the inside of your thumb should pinch the grip against the pad of your palm just below the index finger" he said holding me through it. "Now put one of your kegs slightly back and grab the handle with your other hand too" he said walking me through it "Those are the basics of holding a sword and the two handed stance, I'll teach you how to swing one". For half an hour, I kept on practising how to hold a sword properly but failed multiple times. Night came and I went to sleep. I wanted to learn this because the knife wasn't a very good weapon to fight those monsters and Han could kill them easier than me.

(I apologize if the sword learning bit is wrong, I've never used a sword before)
