Mabon is a small celebration that the pack has celebrated for centuries. It is a time when both townspeople and pack members compete with each other in things like an apple pie baking competition, a mead competition, axe throwing, and other games that Claire has added over the years to entertain everyone. There is a feast available for everyone, and the pack puts together a massive bonfire as the attendees begin to dance the night away, enjoying a break before everyone begins to prepare for Vetrnaete.
Something Freya learned when she was young was that Noah takes celebrating him native holidays very seriously, learning how serious he was when she saw him wake up at four in the morning to prepare to visit the tomb of his ancestors with his family. He had invited her and now that she thinks about it as she gets ready, she realizes why Noah would invite her to something as intimate as that. She sighed as she shook her head, pulling on the dress that Claire had dropped off for her this morning when Freya messaged that she wanted to wear it. Mabon was always something that Freya loved as a child, but Vetrnaete quickly became her favorite after she shifted. She loved running with the whole pack, there was something so beautiful about it when she was young. While she was away she had missed it, though she had gone for a run on the night that the pack usually ran. The thought of running with her family again made excitement shoot through her, a smile coming to her lips as she remembered her first run with her parents.
"What's got you in a good mood?" She looked up and saw her mother, smiling as she looked at her daughter.
"I was thinking of Vetrnaete." She answered, turning towards her mother. The woman nodded, crossing her arms as she let out a small sigh.
"I cried when it was your first run." Kristyn stated, cupping Freya's cheeks as she looked over her. "You have gotten so big."
"Oh my god, mom. Stop." Kristyn laughed and rubbed her daughter's back, kissing her cheek before they left the room. "Where are the twins?" Freya asked as she walked into the kitchen, finally noticing how quiet it was.
"Claire took them over this morning, they wanted to help set up the games." Greyson answered, handing his daughter a cup of coffee. "You look beautiful, honey." He smiled, kissing the side of her head.
"Thanks, dad. You look snazzy yourself." Freya looked at him to see that he was wearing one of his nice burnt orange button up shirt with black pants, giving a nod as she looked over at her mother. "You dressed him good, mom." Kristyn chuckled and bowed at her daughter, shaking her head before she walked towards the door.
"Let's go, we need to visit the tomb." Greyson followed his wife, holding the door for his daughter. "Did you grab flowers?" Kristyn called, looking at her husband.
"No, but I put a pie in the car. And a bottle of mead." He answered, getting into the car with his wife and daughter. "Ready?" He asked, nodding once everyone agreed before they left to visit the family tomb.

Mabon was in full blast within half an hour of the Lancaster trio arriving, though there were so many people that Freya had not spotted her siblings, Adrian, or even any of the Andersson clan. She parted ways with her parents, walking towards the table filled with food as she waved and greeted people she hadn't seen since she left when someone grabbed her.
"Jesus!" She screamed, putting her hand on her chest as she leaned against the table gently.
"Nope, just me." Adrian smirked, popping a piece of cheese into his mouth as he looked over his friend. "You look hot, dang." She rolled her eyes and shoved him.
"And you look like a stripper. There are children Adrian." Adrian was wearing a wine colored silk shirt that was completely open to expose his figure, handing loose over a pair of black ripped black jeans. His look was minimal, but his tattoo he had on his ribs and the nipple piercing he had gotten were on display as she looked him over. His eyelids were covered in black eye shadow, causing his beautiful eyes to pop as he looked over the people surrounding them. Those same eyes rolled at her comment, Adrian wrapping an arm around Freya as they snacked on the charcuterie board.
"Freya, children need good fashion icons to look up to. I am determined to be that for this small, little town. Plus, I wouldn't wear this if I was a stripper, baby." He smirked, eating a grape before he poured the girl a glass of apple juice. "Try this, Jaiden made it." The girl's eyebrow rose and he nodded, grinning as she took a sip.
"Who's Jaiden?" Freya asked, taking another drink of the spiked apple juice.
"Some girl from my class. She came over last night to help me with a project." Freya chuckled, shaking her as he rested his head on her shoulder. She patted his head as she continued to look around, smiling when she saw the twins playing with some other kids. Julian was having fun when one of the boys turned and shoved Laurel, making the girl fall as he grabbed what she had been playing with. Laurel began to cry and Julian yelled at the boy, pushing him when someone grabbed his arm. Freya had stepped forwards as soon as she saw someone shove her sister, though Kol had appeared and was kneeling next to the boys as she rushed to check on her sister as she held her arm.
"You shouldn't push people, you could have really hurt Laurel." The boy looked at Kol and frowned, pointing at Julian as he began to argue with them as Freya took her sister to where Adrian had pulled up a chair.
"Go get me the first aid kit." Adrian nodded and turned, walking back towards the house as Freya knelt in front of her sister. "Laurel, baby, let me see your arm." The girl moved her arm and Freya looked it over, frowning as she made sure it wasn't serious.
"I want to go home." Laurel whispered, looking at her legs as her sister took the first aid kid from Adrian. He looked at the girl and frowned, placing his hands on his hips as he stood beside her.
"Now why would you want to leave?" She looked at him and frowned.
"The people here are so mean." She wiped her tears with one hand as she looked towards her sister, who has shaken her head.
"Laurel, the only one being mean was that one boy. But you can't let him ruin your fun. This festival is so big that you could probably go in a little bit more and you wouldn't see him till next year." Laurel frowned as she shook her head, looking down at her feet again.
"I'll see him Monday and he'll just keep being mean." Adrian and Freya looked at each other, the boy kneeling beside them as he looked at Laurel.
"Laur Laur, is he bullying you at school too?" He asked, frowning when she nodded. Adrian let out a small sigh as he patted Laurel's head, shaking his head as he looked at his friend. "I'm gonna need to tell some old stories to this kid about bullies." Freya went to say something but Julian ran over, allowing for her friend to slip away towards the boy with was still arguing with Kol.
"Laurel, are you okay? Freya?" She looked over and smiled at Jules, nodded as he looked between her and his twin.
"Yeah, she's okay Julian. You're a good brother." Julian smiled as she ruffled his hair before he turned towards Laurel, grabbing her hand.
"Laurel, let's go get candied apples from Grandma Sammy." Laurel hesitated before she nodded, standing up before she hugged her sister.
"Thank you, Freya." Freya kissed the top of Laurel's head before they walked away, leaving Freya to clean up the mess she had made dressing the cut on Laurel's arm.
"Is she okay?" Kol's voice asked as he walked up behind her, watching after the twins before he looked at Freya.
"Yeah, she'll be okay." He nodded and looked at her, raising an eyebrow after a while. "What?" She asked.
"Adrian said you wanted to talk to me." Freya shook her head, walking towards the house as he followed her.
"Laurel said that kid bullies her and Adrian lied to you to-" A scream cut her off, soon followed by a howling laugh as Adrian fell to the ground as the young boy ran away from him. "To scare him." Kol laughed as he watched the boy run, his eyebrows shooting up quickly.
"He runs fast." He muttered, causing Freya to chuckle as she opened the door to the house. Kol walked in behind her and sighed, sitting at the table as he ran a hand through his hair. "You look great, by the way. Autumn really suits you." Kol stated, smiling as he looked over the dress that Freya was wearing.
"It has always suited me, babe. We have all known this since I was born." She stated, grabbing a glass of water as she leaned against the counter. "Thank you, though. Your mother picked it out." He nodded, smirking as he rested his head on his fist. He went to say something when the door opened, the pair turned and saw that it was Noah.
"Guys, come on. The pie and mead winners are going to be announce." Kol and Freya stood and followed Noah outside to where everyone was gathering, Kol grabbed Freya's hand lightly as he led her through the crowd towards the front. When the reached the front he let go of her hand and she smiled at him, standing with him as they watched Claire announce the winners.
