Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

It is not fun, in the slightest. As soon as I said that, Diana grabbed the wolf bone club and started walking towards the horizon. It's been at least 3 hours and Diana never stopped to take a break. I kept on speed walking near her but my feet were killing me. The simple shoes I made didn't do much in terms of protecting me. Multiple thorns and such stuck to my feet.

I took One of the pears out of my sack and ate it. This time it tasted a lot better and a bit sweeter. I looked inside my sack and saw that they all had turned from their bright yellow to orangish. Looking at them more I noticed how they were all different colors. I grabbed a red one when it burned my hand."Ah," I started blowing on my hand. I looked at the other pears and saw they also had different colors.

"Since the red one was hot, the blue one must be cold!" I grabbed the blue one and my hand wasn't freezing, but since it was so hot out it felt pretty nice. I started touching other ones and figured it out. The light green ones were sweet, red is hot, blue is cold, purple is poison. I learnt that one the hard way.

While walking I made sure to keep an eye out for anything of use, tossing sticks and rocks in my sack when possible. Diana kept walking in front of me. Now looking at her closer she was, I don't know how to put it but different.

I could see multiple calluses on her skin and such and she was really tall. Her hair was parted to one side. While admiring her she swept the bone club across some grass in front of us.

She turned around, and saw me staring at her. I looked away and she grunted before turning back around. I'm not a ladies man but she seemed annoyed.

I looked at my leg and picked up the orange system like a book.

I saw some pages taken and some added. For one it now showed basic stats.

-stats-

-allies-

-skills-

All other functions were gone. I kept flipping through pages to find where the map went and came across a message. -one last thing we didn't want to give you guys to much but basics are good enough-

(Ok this is just the author changing it for more ideas to be incorporated)

"Aight" I put the book down and looked back up. In Front of me was a river. Diana had waded across and was waiting for me. I stepped into the river bank and although cold wasn't bad. I made it to the other side.

Before leaving the river I bent over. I cupped my hands and took a sip of the water. Diana just watched me. I was taking another sip when a gray flash came in front of me. I looked up to see an alligator heading right for me.

I tried to back away but it was too close. I covered myself, preparing for the worst when I heard a deep growl. I opened my eyes to see a bloody green arm. I backed away and saw Diana force the huge gator back. It was clamping on her arm.

I just watched as Diana repeatedly punched the thing in its eye but had no effect. I ran up and threw one of the pears at it. It started freezing. Diana ripped her arm away. She grabbed the bone near her and slammed it on its head.

The alligator fell over while Diana slumped over covering her arm. I ran up to her and tried to help her up. "Hey., hey look it's gonna be fine just gotta get you some wear safe" Diana closed her eyes and went limp.

I frantically checked her pulse and saw she was still breathing. Dragged her near a large tree and set her up against it. "Fuck" "what am I supposed to do?" After making sure she was still breathing I checked her wound.

She had deep claw marks and they were still bleeding. I used a leaf and then used one of the wolf teeth, heating it up with the fire pear. When the tooth started glowing a bright orange I put it on her wound. "Sorry Diana but it's for your own good" I placed the tooth on her wound, burning it shut before moving on to another one. The entire time heard wincing from Diana constant flinching.

I finished cauterizing all the wounds and saw they stopped bleeding. I grabbed a big leaf and tied it around her arm, while using twine to tie it. I put several layers of leaves, and tied them with twine until they were secure. Diana by now was still passed out and it was mid day. I went over to the alligator and saw it was still alive but was missing an eye and half of its jaw. It was still bleeding but the ice was stopping it from losing too much blood.

I used the fire pear and threw it at the gator, it had gone right into its mouth. The gator started screaming and flailing. 'Now i feel bad' after flailing for a while the gator had died. I waited a few minutes to make sure it was dead before coming to it. I knew I couldn't take all of it so I took a tooth and used it to cut the skin off.

It was really damaged but because of the Fire Pear wasn't hard to get off. I took all that stuffing it in the sack before running back to diana. She was starting to gain consciousness, slowly opening her eyes before closing them back shut. I looked around and saw a hollowed out tree. I made my way towards it.
