Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

I went towards the hollow tree and looked inside. The entrance was small but big enough to fit Diana in if she was laying down. I crawled inside and saw a large inner part of the tree was hollowed out. It was big enough so if Diana stood up here head would barely touch the ceiling.

There wasn't any sign of anyone being here or anything. I went back to get Diana and saw she was somewhat awake. I slowly lifted Diana up and made my way over there. Making sure she didn't drag along the ground. When I got there I quickly ran back to get the sack and threw it in. I put my wolf bone ribcage at the entrance and covered it with leaves for added protection.

I walked towards Diana, her wounds were still covered and she was breathing softly. "Now what?" I couldn't just sit here. I looked at the leftover pears in my bag and saw I had 1 ice pear,1 fire, 3 sweet 2 sour and 2 poison.

"Okay that's enough for now" I went over all my belongings making sure it was all there. I looked at the alligator skin. I grabbed realizing it was pretty light but was hard on the outside. I tried twisting and bending it. It only moved at the groves of the skin.

'That's good' it was big enough either to make a tent, clothes or armor for the both of us. 'Armor would be the best choice at this moment or I could pop out the scales leaving only the hide and tan it'

There were so many options I could do with it considering how big it is. I grabbed my System book. "I'll just start calling it Sbook" I looked inside an empty page. 'What am I supposed to write with?'

I took my chances and just grabbed a piece of bark. I started writing down the ideas for the alligator skin when it was automatically translated in the book. A new section was opened up. I flipped to the page with a tab called crafting.

I looked and saw there were some crafting blueprints already. Such as rope twine, shoes, sack, and armor. "That's pretty neat" there was also another tab called botany. I flipped to that tab and it featured some plants.

It showed things like the fire pear and such. It didn't have a name but did have a blank space above it. I wanted to name it but fire pear sounded kind of dumb. After brainstorming for a while I wrote down, scorch pear, part of the pear family.

Yeah since all of them were the same, fruit but different properties, it only makes sense for it to be part of it. I looked down at the description and wrote. Has heating properties with enough heat to cook. Heat does not affect the plant or other non living organisms around it. Not suggested to touch with bare hands.

'That was actually kind of fun' I went through writing descriptions of all the pears I knew of. Now there was only one section left. -animal life-

I looked inside and this one was blank with only the wolf squirrel and gator showing up. I didn't know much about them so I only wrote dangerous as a description for both the wolf and gator.

After I finally set my book down. I looked outside of the tree and saw it was close to night time.

It was starting to get cold so I took out the scorch pear. I placed it in the center as heat radiated off of it. 'Thankfully it also glows' it wasn't burning anything either so that was good. I went to the alligator skin and decided I would try to make armor for Diana.

'She fights more than me anyway' I took some twine out of my sack and used it to measure Diana. Mainly here arms and legs. I cut the alligator skin. Leaving about a fourth left. I first made four pieces out of that. I grabbed a piece and cut. I cut out the equivalent of a flat glove.

I did the same with another. I then used twine to sow them together using the wolf too as a pin needle. I walk up to Diana and put them on. They fit fine but when I tried to ball her fist they stopped.

The scales were stopping it from closing all the way. I used the gator tooth to pop off all the scales except the ones on the back of her hand leaving the back of her fingers, and knuckles there.

I tried this time and saw it worked fine. I did the same process with another glove. When I was done they both looked decent. 'It might not be much but at least it can protect you.'

Next I decided to make armor for her arms. I took a piece of gator skin this time and wrapped it around her arm. It overlapped so I cut part of it off and tried again. This time it slightly overlapped but I left it. It's always better to have some room to breathe.

I left the scales on the arms aside from her elbows. I put the sleeve on Diana and it fit pretty well. After doing the same for the other side it was done. It was really dark by now so I had decided to sleep. I looked out and saw it was pitch black with only a few growls and holes here and there.

I laid down both the gloves and sleeves near the pear letting them dry out. I laid down and took out my book. I went to the crafting page and saw the gator armor I made. It looked decent, I'll probably make the rest tomorrow. I laid down the book and fell asleep.

(Yo quick question would y'all want about 1000 word chapters 3 every 3 days or like 5,000 word chapters every week?)
