After tying the head of the spear tight enough to wear my arms started hurting I picked it up. It wasn't horrible, definitely not the worst thing I've ever done.
I put on my gator scale helmet and started heading towards the river. I hid in a nearby bush for a few minutes first. 'Not getting nearly eaten this time.'
I propped my spear up towards the water. Making sure there wasn't anything dangerous I went towards the water. I looked down and saw it was decent;y clear. I saw a fish swimming by.
I stood still, waiting for the fish to pass by. Once it was close enough I launched my spear towards it. It made a small splash that covered my vision. I looked down back towards the water and saw my spear was the only thing still there.
I took my spear back out and hit the bushes again. The splash could have alerted an animal to my location. I looked back up and saw nothing heading towards me.
I got up and started walking back to the bush to see if I could find some berries instead. I then heard a growl from behind me.
I turned around to see a long snake-like creature materialising in front of me. It wasted no time and lunged towards me.
'This was the 3rd time a giant animal ambushed me, which doesn't seem like a lot but its weird it happened 3 times'
I wasn't fast enough to dodge and it ended up clipping my helmet. It didn't break through but I still felt the impact. It recoiled and was about to attack again.
This time I finally moved and jumped to my left dodging its attack. I used my spear and tried to stab it. It moved out of the way before coiling on to my spear.
I tried to swing my spear but it was too heavy. It tightened and crushed my spear. 'Shit' I let go of the spear. It had uncoiled from the spear and lunged towards me again.
I jumped away and yelled. "DIANA" I knew I needed help, even though I didn't want to keep using her as a crutch. I heard a few stomps and she ran in front of me.
After seeing the creature she used the axe and swung towards it. Like with my spear it coiled onto it. Diana unfazed grabbed its head and swung it off. It flew into a tree making a thump sound when it hit.
It fell onto the ground and weakly tried to get up. Diana ran towards it grabbing it by the tail and throwing it towards another tree. This time it landed it couldn't get up.
It started disappearing. I ran towards it throwing a rock at its head. It tried to dodge but couldn't. I watched as it slowly faded in and out.
Sometimes changing different colours like yellow and blue. Eventually it stopped moving, so I walked towards it. I saw it was still breathing. 'Aw shie' lunged towards me. I moved out the way using my hand to push its head away.
I saw this time it truly stopped moving. I waited a while just in case and saw it make a few more attempts before ceasing. Diana used her axe and chopped off its head.
'Damn' I'm really weak. Diana absolutely manhandled it with her bare hands and I lost when I even had a spear and armour.
I went over to where my spear broke.I saw my bone knife was still there but getting dull. I grabbed it and went over towards the snake thing. I used the knife to slowly carve into it to skin it.
I noticed that one of its properties was changing colour, maybe i could use that. I peeled a piece off setting to the side and watched it disappear into the grass. I picked it back up and watched it change back to green.
'Yeah, definitely useful' I spent 1 or 2 hours skinning the thing. I got up even more hungry than before. Ever since I awoke my mana I've been eating less.
I grabbed the skin while Diana grabbed the body. We went towards the wagon I was building. I grabbed the fire pear from my chest and used it to start a fire. Diana grabbed the thing and put it on a stick.
I grabbed 2 sticks and placed them beside the fire. She set the snake thing onto the sticks to make a rotisserie.
I slowly spun it around. I knew it was gonna take a few hours until it finished so I explored a little. I made sure not to go too far. I ended up on top of a hill overlooking a valley.
In the valley I saw an sixlegged horse thing. I watched it for a while and saw it eat a couple plants before laying down. A few minutes later it got back up. I saw a couple of small wild dogs head toward it.
It ran towards them kicking them. After it hit one the rest ran away. I was half expecting it to eat the wild dog but it simply kicked it away before falling asleep. This time though it waited a few minutes before laying down again.
I looked up and saw it was past sunset and headed back towards the camp. I checked on the food and saw it still was a little undercooked.
After another 30 minutes the snake smelt done. Diana had gone to get water during this time and so I went towards it. I used a palm leaf and set it on the ground.
I grabbed the creature and set it on the leaf. Diana had gotten back and sat down. "Finally" i hadn't had meat in 4 days so this was a treat for me.
I was about to eat before I remembered something. The meat could be poisonous. Diana had the same idea and captured a nearby squirrel. I ripped off a piece of the meat and fed it to it.
We waited a while but saw the squirrel had no negative reaction. We both smiled at that. Diana threw the squirrel somewhere in the distance.
We both sat down and started eating, while listening to the screams of the squirrel in the distance.
(1hr later)
After we finished eating it, as in I had a ⅙ of it. Diana had about 3/6 of it and we stored the rest in the chest. I made sure to put the ice pears in it to keep it edible.
It was dark by now so me and Diana went inside of the tent. I covered up the base of the wagon with palm leaves just in case something happened to it.
I dragged some leaves inside of the tent aswell to make a really crude and simple bed, well pile but same thing. I layed down and closed my eyes.
(next morning)
I awoke the next morning with VIGOUR (it means energy for the slower ones). I hopped out of the tent and went straight towards the wagon.
I grabbed my knife while walking out of the tent, I grabbed a stick and used it to sharpen my knife. I grabbed some wood that Diana had cut.
I made some markings on it to show where it needs to be cut at. I cut at the wood until my arms started to go numb. I had now made 3 arches. I got some water before heading back to work.
I grabbed the wooden arches and put them on the cart. I made marks on the foundation and took the arches off. I grabbed the bone knife and cut the marking out making six total holes for the arches to fit.
I picked the arches back up and fitted them into the holes. It was a tight fit, but they fell in. I shook it a little bit just to make sure it would stick. Next I grabbed some wood and made some planks out of them.
I cut holes in the sides of the arch so that the planks could fit in nicely on the sides. I put all the planks together and covered the cracks with mud.
Even though it's dirty after I put the scorch pear in, it'll dry and stay in place. By now the wagon was mostly finished. I grabbed some wood and made a small bench out of it.
I made some cuts into the planks and fitted the plank inside. Making the short plank jut out of the wall making a platform.
By now the only thing left was the entrance to be made. I grabbed two planks and made a 90 degree andle with them. I placed mud on the corner and inside of it and let it dry out. I waited a while for it to dry before putting it on the cart.
"Finnaly" i looked at my creation. It would now be perfect for travel. All I need is something to pull it. 'Wait' I realized i made a dumb mistake.
"The whole point of the cart is so Diana doesn't have to keep carrying the tent. Now she has to carry a cart instead" 'Maybe?' that horse thing I saw could be a mount.
It didn't eat the things that attacked it but did eat plants. And it has 6 legs so it's probably strong. Its kicks also completely obliterated the dogs that attacked it. 'It's settled' "Today we tame, AND TOMMOROW WE RIDE"
I yelled at absolutely no one. Diana came out of the woods looking at me with a confused look before going back into the forest.
(Aight so you might be wondering why it's been a week since I updated well, it's because, um 😶….
Actually don't worry about it I won't drop it till it's done and sometimes I'm just bored and don't feel like writing)
