Photon
The Photon is a revolutionary device that lets people shape light into almost anything they can imagine—tools, furniture, weapons, even transportation. Over the decades, it’s become so advanced that it can now be integrated directly into the brain, allowing users to control it with their thoughts. Today, it’s a part of daily life for most of the population.
For Washi, a twenty-year-old college student, having a Photon is great for small conveniences but it hasn’t helped much with paying bills. When his bank account hits zero, Washi reluctantly takes a shady job offer that feels too good to be true. What starts as a desperate attempt to make rent quickly turns into something far bigger, as Washi finds himself working for an eccentric boss who claims to see the future. His new job? Stopping those who threaten the world’s future, by any means necessary. Armed with only his Photon and a lot of questions, Washi is thrust into a dangerous new life of vigilantes, light-based tech, and a mission he’s hilariously underqualified for: saving the world before it’s too late.
