Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Unexpected Meeting

He was there twirling the clear blue liquid in a martini glass thinking of a distant memory so far away, though quickly had it blurring out as it shouldn't have appeared because he believed the past should stay in the past. The man shook his head slightly to get the unsightly thought out of the mind. The quiet bartender bends over the bar and taps the table to catch the dark-skinned man's attention. "You seem deep in thought, want to talk? Few around." The bartender waved his hand in the air towards the empty spaces nearby." I'm here for you."

The man sitting in front of the bartender replied with a sigh and nodded, agreeing. "It's just... it feels like ages. You know me falling in love or loving someone. You even know the last person I dated because I'm most comfortable here in your bar. We've known each other for over 10 years now. It's amazing honestly."

The man gently smiled, "I thank you for coming, but to be honest, it's probably just time to think of loving yourself and soon you'll have a stumbling stud roll in without you searching hard or there is one watching over you waiting for you to fall too. You never know." The bartender straightened out and wiped down glass cups, then placed them in their rightful places behind the bar.

"You're right, Jon!" the man replied, half excited. A small smile showed on the young man's face, then cupped his hands together and drank his blue sweet liquid once again. The bartender watched over and shrugged, knowing he's enjoyed the company as per usual, holding on to some hope that his words would hold more weight than just a compliment. Although he couldn't stay in the same stance as a new customer showed up at the other corner of the bar excusing himself, he left his usual company alone.

After some time, the blue liquid was gone, and the customer felt his cheeks warm. Taking Jon's thought in mind, he slowly got up and steadied himself to lead over to the washroom and freshen up some. A dimly lit restroom was comforting, and the light was enough to still see into the mirrors. The young man splashes water onto their face and takes a few breaths before closing the faucet. The fresh towels have always been pleasant and a gentle touch of the bartender. After drying off the water, the man undid a button from his shirt and smiled into the mirror, knowing Jon was right, "No point in hunting, it's time to be hunted and try to just relax and be happy on your own". Nodding at himself, he began walking out and into the bar again. He could feel a change in the atmosphere though couldn't pinpoint fast enough the reason on his own. A new face was being forced into his vision and it surprised the young man as he noticed a thin slither of light over the man's head but did not have enough time to get a clear glimpse of it during the midst of being pushed up against close to the entryway he just came out of. Luckily for the young man, the other man's quick reaction saved him from being pushed harsh as the new man's arms got placed in the right areas; one over their heads and the other arm behind the just composed man's waist.

The blonde-haired man began, "Oh, I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mea..." but slowly stopped as the man within his arm was staring up at him with such kind gladiolus colored eyes. Who couldn't help but blush in the situation; they both began to rosy up and the connection they felt could make a passersby feel static.

The blonde hair man took a step back, letting go of the man's waist and began apologizing, aware that he has never seen the man before. The dark-skinned gentleman began waving that it was not a big deal. Being watched by the bartender, who could not help but chuckle at their reactions, began preparing a new cocktail for his regular customer as he hears the blonde offer a drink as an official apology. The other man accepts with no hesitation.
