Kayleb felt a bit unbalanced and reacted as fast he could to catch the gentleman whom was about to get knocked over. His heart raced a thousand beats per minute, forgetting to focus on hiding the snow-colored ring above his head. As he quickly grabbed hold of the man and his concentration to hide the blessing well, he felt a tinge in his heart once looking into the smaller framed man's eyes. He saw loneliness, love, and warmth peering deep into himself. He composed himself and offered a drink to help apologize for the possible unsettling encounter. Surprised by the fast response, he felt warmth crawl over his ears and walked over to the bar where he was just about to ask for a drink when the drink appeared before him.
"He's a friend. I know what he likes, but what would you enjoy today?" the bartender waited on the man's response.
"I'm... I mean I will have a sweet fallen angel please." the blonde-haired man responded.
The bartender stepped away to conjure up the cocktail. The blonde man reached out his hand to introduce himself. "My name is Kayleb. If you feel comfortable, you can call me Kay."
The dark-skinned man cradled the hand and responded, "Thanks again for the drink, Kay. My name is Jaymson but friends call me Jaym. Though really don't mind about the wall, it seems like you got jostled in." Jaym's eyes wondered into the middle of the room where no one was now present and chucked. "Really, I noticed a few earlier, so no harm done."
"Thank you Jaym, for understanding. So what's a fellow like you wandering into this heaven-like Bar?" he asked as his drink came and picked up to sip.
"Well, my friend here accepts me over when I'm feeling lonely to have a drink or simply have a moment. We've been friends now for what seems like over 10 years. Though what about you? You're as beautiful as a heaven made Angel seems like you would be picked and not have to wander into a lonely bar." Jaym flirted as he couldn't help the piece of art beside him.
"Well, it's a secret I can share with you if you promise to join me on a date over next weekend?" Kay responded, keeping himself an enigma as he couldn't just tell anyone what happened at his home.
"Sounds like a deal, but will you dance with me a song? This is one of my favorites?" He gestures to the empty floor as the song that began playing is 'Amber' by 311.
Kay followed and stepped out first, stretching his hand to Jaym. The men began dancing closer than a couple of usual strangers would, but the feeling was there for them. It felt comfortable and the song's warmth wrapped around them, making them get closer. Kay began humming the lyrics, and Jaym couldn't help but ask,
"You know this song?"
"Actually, yes, I've had this down in my top 5 for who knows how long now. Thanks for asking me to dance. I never thought I'd find someone open to swaying with me to it." He let go a bit to spin Jaym.
"Well, I did not imagine I'd get to either. Thanks." The room became quiet as the song ended and the two went back to the bar to sit and drink the remanents of the liquid. After some chatter into the night, they were the last left after exchanging their numbers to plan for the next time Kay took his leave and Jaym stayed behind to chat with Jon as he cleaned up.
"Jon, that was real, right?" Jaym leaned over the counter to speak with Jon who was squatting to pick out a bag for trash.
"Yes hun, it was real. He definitely was a work of art. I feel I may become lonely. We really gotta talk about something else. Is that okay? It's important." the bartender looked into Jaym's eyes to make sure he was showing the importance in his words.
"Yes, of course Jon, why'd you get serious?"
"I don't believe you know why the bar is called Heavenly Hollow, right?" Jon cocked his head to the side.
"No, just thought because it was calm, and no one gets into arguments hear it could stick."
Now that Kayleb and the other customers were away, the two could discuss the reasoning of the bar's name and its type of customers.
