The following work week was a blur for Jaym, recalling a few meetings that wound up being on a pleasant note and an outing with all who wanted to join for a paid dinner by the managers of the office. Wherever there was a free drink or meal, Jaym surely skipped along. After the work meal on Friday, Jaym left the group and headed over to his best friend's bar anew. "Oh, Jon! Your one and the only moon has come to visit you." Jaym sang as he sat at the bar. A few glances made over to him, but just went back to the liquid-filled cups soon after.
"My Moon, hm? And what would that make me?" Jon first poured a glass of water and ice to help freshen his visibly tipsy friend.
"Jon... maybe you're... wait I need a moment to think a star and the sun are the same though maybe you're the North Star as you help guide me into being a better man." he nodded agreeing with his own thoughts and drank the water with no hesitation soon after.
"Well, I don't mind, but maybe you're meant to be the Moon for another man. Perhaps he your shadow you his shine." Jon smiled, thinking of a possible future.
"Dear Jon, you are definitely romantic. You couldn't have said that better, but for now we are this to each other. You know, since neither of us has one yet." Jaym pouted, showing his naturally blushed inner lips. "Though maybe it will not stay that way too long. Remember that blonde, gorgeous fellow we saw last time? Well, I got a date and he accepted to pick me up from here tomorrow. He knows you're my friend that owns this beauty," Jaymson rubbed the bar top gently and proceeded, "...so he didn't mind."
"Jaym, I could have sworn you'd always be mine." Jon half-joked with his words, chuckling with Jaym. "It's good though. Remember to take it slow. Have fun and don't lower your guard. You now know what may visit through those doors in the evenings." Jon added as he pointed towards it the front doors where a customer was just entering. "Welcome, may you enjoy your visit!" Jon moved his hands in a welcoming motion over his bar.
Jaym took his glass of water, now filled with a refill, and he went over to a high top, contemplating Jon's words. Jaymson's thoughts kept wandering over to Kayleb pointed out his characteristics so far that he's chatted with him both physically and a bit personality. Neither had anything wrong, which was great, but something had to point what the man's profession was. Jaym gave up after thinking of a usual job a human may have, like a lawyer, possibly a doctor to a cunning demon, or a possible grim weeper. His thoughts got interrupted by Jon placing a cocktail in front of him.
"Did you want to spend the night and relax upstairs already?" Jon placed his elbow on the table, his hand dangling close to his body.
"You know what, I will but after this drink. No need to waste the beauty." He lifted the glass and sipped as Jon placed the spare key in Jaym's hand.
"Okay, remember you don't have to wait up if you want to sleep. Just sleep. If you do sweet dreams."
Jaym nodded, closed his fist, held the key, and finished the rest of the drink before heading up into the quiet home. Always surprised by the music not leaking into the home above, but was thankful for the silence.
