Chapter 1 - Chapter One - Prologue

I'd never really believed it when people said God existed. Well, here I was, facing what I thought was heaven.

The last thing I remember was...Oh right, the Altar of the Gods. I was facing trial, and my sentence was 'Death Eternal.'

Since there was no sign that I was going to wake up anytime soon, so I just let my body gravitate towards the light that shined the in darkness, like an illuminating torch to show the way.

The journey seemed to take hundreds of years; I half expected babies with wings to be flying around, singing praises to the Lord.

Instead, my vision blurred, and the sounds of birds chirping and muffled voices. I jolted, sending myself sideways, landing head-first onto the carpet.

Once I had gotten my bearings, I could faintly make out the words: "Wake the hell up before I have to come in there MYSELF!"

In my past life, I was called Mikaela. At least I understood the language, that was a good sign.

I should be thinking something along the lines of: "Oh, shit! Have I been reincarnated?"

However, the only thing that seemed to pop up into my mind was, 'Wait, what gender am I?'

Thanking every deity up there that I was still male, I clambered to my feet. Assessing myself and my surroundings in a manner that every deity should, I realised that I was fifteen years old.

Getting accustomed to the shades of light coming in through the window panes, I realised my room looked like I had been summoning Satan at midnight. I mean, I really hadn't been.

There wasn't a mirror in here, so I had no idea what I looked like. Opening the door to my room gently, I didn't notice the rug on the floor, and slipped, tumbling down the stairs, almost breaking my ankle, and finally landing at the bottom in a heap of flesh.

Being in a mortal body was tiring.

"So, you FINALLY decide to show up, huh?" The girl asked. Calling her my sister should be about....fair.

"What is the name of this body?" I asked, and she looked at me as if I was some kind of weirdo.

"Uhh, Sung-Ho? Are you sure you didn't bang your head when you woke up?" Ah, so, Sung-Ho was my name.

"Two. Do you know someone who goes by the title of the 'Sky Demon King'?"

The girl who was supposed to be my sister spoke up first. "Ehhh....I think I heard about him in the history books. Wasn't that like, a millennium ago?"

A millennium?

"A MILLENNIUM?! YOU'RE TELLING ME, THAT THOSE LAZY-ASS GODS PUT ME TO SLEEP FOR A WHOLE MILLENNIUM!"

Once I had calmed down, and my sister had stopped looking at me like I was insane, I sighed.

There was another woman. She looked beautiful, but in a motherly way. She had auburn hair and amber/gold coloured eyes. Her kind smile made me want to hug her. I hadn't felt this way in quite a long time. I couldn't count the years, but I'd lost my emotions when I was a god. Whatever humanity I had left had gone, too.

When she noticed the scratches on my legs, she made her way over to me, as healed them.

Not with bandages, no. But with green freaking-light-from-her-hands-healing.

Where the fucking hell am I?
