Jeffrey met up with Harrison Ford in the courtyard before school started. He was hanging out under the small tree that was planted next to a lamp.
Harrison was kicking a soccer ball he brought with him from home.
"Hey Harrison", Jeffrey called out to him
"Hey Jeffrey", Harrison greeted him.
"Here's the Oobleck", Jeffrey took out a jar from the white office box he brought from home.
Harrison handed him $20 and they went their own separate ways. Jeffrey placed the money in his cash box, he had $60 in cash to his name, plus whatever birthday money and Christmas money he had lying around at home.
A few of the teachers and kids noticed Jeffrey carrying the large white box, some of them even asked about it during class.
"Hey Jeffrey what's inside the box?", his English teacher Mrs. Borders asked him
"Ahh nothing, just a science project I was working on at home", Jeffrey replied.
As usual though although a little inconspicuous, it wasn't too out of the ordinary. People would get used to seeing him carry it around and it'd be business as usual.
Jeffrey finished handing off the remaining two red glow-in-the-dark jars to Derek and Jack.
"That's all the red glow-in-the-dark ones I have", Jeffrey said to the two of them. "I hope you guys have fun."
They all started playing around with them around recess and lunch. Some of the kids were watching them play with his science project and they brought it to class with them as well.
Thankfully they weren't confiscated and they hadn't talked to Jeffrey yet, but Jeffrey knew he might get into trouble before it even took off.
They banned smensils, mini-skateboards and other small toys at school. However, Jeffrey could probably pass of the fact it was a science project. The money however, would be harder to explain. He'd talk about it when he got there, especially since it was his name they'd blame first.
This time a few of the kids he talked to before also bought his glow-in-the-dark green Oobleck and he sold another 4 jars. He had suddenly gotten $180 in around 2 weeks. Although it cost $125, he made $55 and the rest would be profit. A few more and he'd get to his goal of $250 to actually cover the cost of his supplies and R&D for future projects and recipes.

his paper had some smudges, eraser marks and crossed out lines because he written part of it in pen.
The nice thing about his jars was that it looked professional and bought from a store, so as long as it looked clean. Jeffrey was pretty sure he could get away with it, and worst case scenario he'd sell it outside of school or off school grounds. Asking forgiveness was much easier than asking for permission.
Soon Jeffrey caught up with Preston.
"Hey Preston", Jeffrey met up with his friend.
"What's up", Jeffrey inquired
"Ahh, nothing much. I'm studying for the math quiz I have next period", Preston replied.
"Huh, algebraic functions huh? That graph looks familiar", Jeffrey looked at his paper.
"Yeah, it's last night's homework and review for Mr. Moreno's class", Preston talked about it.
"I went over some of the answers with Ricky and Daniel. They have the highest grades in his class", Preston discussed some of the situation.
"huh, ok", Jeffrey listened for a little bit.
Preston was busy scribbling, solving problems and studying diligently.
Jeffrey to his credit, helped to quiz and study Preston to prepare for his test. At the very least, his school work was more important than his project.
"So Preston, Did you hear about Oobleck?", Jeffrey asked his friend.
"Yeah, some of the kids are talking about it", Preston mentioned.
"Did you sell your jar yet?", Jeffrey looked at him.
"No, not yet", Preston replied.
"Do you need some help?", Jeffrey offered.
"I'm good Jeffrey", Preston looked embarrassed.
"Well I know it's a little difficult to ask. If you find the time, try it. It's harder than you think it is", Jeffrey reminded him.
"Best of luck with your math test Preston", Jeffrey said as they started to head to class.
"Thanks for the help, Jeffrey", Preston said.
Jeffrey knew he had to be patient, since only he treated it importantly. However as a leader and the person who started this project, it was also on him to get other people as excited or as interested as he was.
Preston really was the best option he had, so it was best if he didn't try to rush things. Jeffrey was starting from scratch and he had plenty of time to work with.
"Let's make it to the end of the month. I want to reach my goal by next week", Jeffrey said to himself.
