It was a saturday again. Hailey treasured saturdays because it was the only day Jeremy could stay at home and spend time with her. Although some saturdays, he would urgently leave the house to attend to work. Hailey woke up early that morning, she had already planned her activity for the day. Jeremy was not in the room. She washed her face quickly and left the room to meet him. She met Jeremy sitting in the living room reading a book. Hailey cleared her throat to get his attention.
"Good morning Hailey!" He greeted.
"Good morning Jeremy!" She responded.
"Up so early? That's unlike you!" He stated. Hailey was shocked.
She couldn't believe Jeremy had already mastered her sleeping and waking up routine. She always slept by 10pm and woke up by 7am in the morning. But this time, she didn't wake up by 7am.
"Are you surprised?" She asked.
"No I'm not but I'm just wondering what made you wake up so early, that's all!" He replied.
"Well, I guess I'm just so excited and that's why I'm up so early!" She said.
"Okay!" He closed the book and placed it on the table.
"Can you tell me why you're so excited?" He asked. Hailey didn't say anything, she just looked up at the ceiling. Jeremy smirked. He gently held her chin and made her face him.
"Hailey, I asked a question. Don't you think I deserve an answer?" He asked her with his eyes fixed on her.
"Uhm Jeremy, I have another request again." She said to him beaming smiles at him.
"Another request! This girl has started again!" He thought to himself. Taking a deep breathe, he asked.
"So what's your request this time?"
"Jeremy, I would like to have a picnic with you!" She stated clearly.
"Absurd! What was the difference between eating lunch in the house and having it outside in the name of picnic!" He thought.
"Please Jeremy, don't say no! Please! Please!!" Jeremy couldn't resist that cute face of hers whenever she asked him for something. He gritted his teeth.
"Okay fine!" He said.
"Yes!" She exclaimed in victory.
"Thank you!" She said and hugged him. Hailey instructed the maids on the meal they would have for lunch. She went upstairs and had her bath. She spent the whole morning watching television while Jeremy was busy in the library arranging the books properly.
"Jeremy, it's time for us to go!" She said to him. Jeremy looked at the time on the wall clock. It was already 12pm. "Okay Hailey!" He stopped what he was doing and the two got prepared to leave the house. Hailey packed up the food and placed them in a picnic basket. Meanwhile, Jeremy got other things ready. They were set to leave the house.
"Are you ready Hailey?" He asked.
"Yes Jeremy. Let's go!" The duo entered the car and Jeremy started the engine and drove off. They went to the city's grassland which was located at the outskirt of the city.
