"How was the journey Stacey?" Mom asked.
"It was fine mom!" She replied.
"How did your training go?"
"It was awesome dad!"
"So I now have lawyer!" He stated and chuckled.
"Yeah dad! A lawyer that can defend you in court." She chipped in. She got up and went upstairs to the bedroom. She knocked on Hailey's bedroom door but there was no response.
"Hailey! Hailey!! Are you in there? It's Stacey, I'm back sister!" She called out but there was no response.
She entered the room to see if Hailey was asleep but to her surprise, the room quiet and empty. She walked inside the room, there was no trace of Hailey. Stacey could dense that Hailey had not been to her room for a long time. Her closet was empty and there was nothing that could trace her back to the room. She went downstairs and met her parents in the living room still enjoying their movie.
"Mom, Dad, where's Hailey?" There was no response to her question.
"I went into her room but she wasn't there. Where is she?" She asked again. She was getting angry with both of them for ignoring her.
"Stace calm down, Hailey's no more with us any longer!" Mom replied.
"So where is she?" She sat down expecting an answer. Mom let out a sigh.
"Your sister has gotten married!" She dropped the bombshell.
"What! Since when? To who mom?" She bombarded.
"It's over a month now since she got married. She is married to Jeremy Reign, the son of Mr Reign, your dad's closest friend."
"And nobody cared to tell me about this, including you dad!" She faced her dad.
"I'm sorry Stace! As you know, you were busy with your training and wouldn't return until you were done. We didn't want to bother you!" He explained to her.
"Well, I still have the right to know. You could have at least told me. I want to see my sister!"
"I will give you her house address. She and her husband live in the city. Calm down Stace! She's fine!!"
Stacey wouldn't calm down if she didn't see her sister. Hailey was the only one she listened to. She never told her about her marriage despite the fact that they chatted all the time. Stacey was so unhappy that Hailey was no more there. Why would they separate her from her only sister? She felt terrible.
She tried to reach her on the phone buy sadly, her number was switched off. She missed her sister so much. She really wanted to see her. She ate dinner silently. Nothing interested her in the house without Hailey around. She went to bed hoping to see her sister the next day.
