In the back corner of the club, was a group of three men. They were seemingly quieter than the rest of the patrons of the club, speaking in hushed tones and leaning into one another to speak. Their table didn't seem to have illegal substances, but instead just varied playing card types and money. It seemed like a good idea to take them as her test table as they also were not be accompanied by any of the other entertainers.
Perhaps this was a sign that they were possibly more dangerous than the rest. Were their activities so illegal and so secretive that they dare not put their wrong doings on display to bet on? Maybe their secrets were so confidential that they couldn't bare to have others hear what they were saying, stopping them from speaking at a normal volume. Did other entertainers not go near them because they were afraid? It was more than likely that this was true, although Ravynne decided to ignore all of the red flags.
