Looking out patiently through the window of the small office, Mr. Finlay waited for the return of his beloved son. The workers told him that young Mr. Finlay, as the normally referred to him had left earlier I'm the morning without informing anyone where he was going.
Finlay company wasn't a large company. A one floor storey building with compressed office in a small space of land. But despite it being small, the working environment was conducive. The workers weren't many either and this made it easier for Kiaan Tilden to handle the company affairs well. Though again, Mr. And Mrs. Finlay thought that was a waste of such an intelligent brain. Since when they adopted Kiaan Tilden, the realized he had an ability to recognize many things at a young age. His vision was wide and he could see things from a far off distance. His hearing was sharp, just beyond normal. His distant eyes was a misery to them. He seemed to be someone lost in a land no one knew but that didn't mean he was always absent minded. He was always obedient and available when needed. Even after knowing that the Finlays weren't his parents, he remained submissive to them, always doing everything to please them. That way, the family of three maintained the best relationship ever in their small house.
THe Finlay company wouldn't have gone this far without the help of Kiaan Tilden. At the age of fifteen, he started helping his adoptive parents to take care of the company issues, always going through the management documents and correctly tiny mistakes. He also used to give them ideas he thought would help in the growing of the company of which, it really helped.
Remembering all this, Mr. Finlay smiled. He really didn't just adopt a normal child but a blessing to him.
"Dad..." Walking in silently, Kiaan Tilden called his dad who despite looking out through the window, he didn't see him coming.
"Son, you're back. Where have you been?" Mr. Finlay asked.
"Dad, I went over to see the second in command, the goddess of business Rhea Azaan." He said politely.
"Wow! Did you get an appointment? How did you get a chance that many people die for?" Mr. Finley asked.
"Can say it was by luck dad. Check out this." Kiaan handed his father the books and sat down. Mr. Austin Finlay took the books and went through.
Father and son sat in the office discussing office matter till late into the evening where they now ent home to meet Briella Finlay, Austin Finlays wife who preferred remaining at home and doing the household chores. They didn't have maid and Briella took in good grace and did the works. When Kiaan Tilden was free, he gave her a helping hand. He wasn't a lazy person since childhood and didn't choose what to do. He did all the works when he was free.
"Sweetie, imagine our son here went to State Azaan company today." Mr. Austin Finlay started.
"Kiaan Tilden, is your dad saying the truth?" Brielle Finlay asked.
"Yes mom. I had an appointment." He replied.
Happily, Briella Finlay hugged her son praising him as the really junior Finlay and the real young master Finlay. Sometimes, Briella would be sad if she thinks that one day Kiaan Tilden might find his parents and move out. But he always promised that even if he knew his parents were, he would never abandon those people who made him who he was now. It wasn't a mere promise. He really meant every word he said.
"Mom... Are you done with the cooking or do you need a helping hand?" Kiaan Tilden asked.
"Am done. Besides, don't you have anything to do today?" Briella asked.
"I want to go through the books I was given at State Azaan company before I retire to bed."
The same evening,
Rhea Azaan arrived at her apartment and headed straight to her study room. She was supposed to finish some business issues before she retired to bed. Being a goddess in business always came with responsibilities and she already got used to it.
But today in the study room, she wouldn't concentrate. She kept thinking of the young man who by now she had met him twice. Apart from being calm and distant, he seemed to carry some unsolved mysteries around him.
"Are we connected in any way?" Rhea Azaan paced the study room. "Is that even possible?"
Another thing was the sudden headaches when she met him. What was happening?
"Madam, supper is ready." Lina knocked at the door.
"Am coming." Rhea closed her computer and walked out. All the while she was in the study room, she did nothing meaningful.
After dinner, Rhea Azaan went to bed earlier than usual. This left Hutson in thoughts. Being her first hand man, he had sensed a small change in her since the day she met Kiaan Tilden.
Whatever she was dreaming, nobody knew. But the maids who arrived early in the morning with her usual essentials and stood waiting at the bedside were surprised. Apart from just sweating, tears were making their way from her eyes.
The maids exchanged looks. Of course no one would dare wake their boss up.
"It hurt..." In her dream, she talked while frowning hard like someone going through pain. Themaids were lost of words.
Grabbing the duvet hard, Rhea Azaan finally cried out loud once, then stopped breathing.
"Madam... Madam..." The maids shouted shaking her only to realize she was looking at them with wide eyes like nothing happened.
"Madam are you ok?" They asked in unison.
Rhea Azaan sat up confused. Though she knew she might have hard a bad dream, she didn't remember anything. Stepping on the soft velvet carpet, Rhea Azaan stood up and ignored the maids. She headed for the door.
"You can't step out bare footed madam." Lina held out Rhea Azaan's sandals. She slid her feet in and walked out without any idea where she was going. Just walking around the house and finally into the flower garden in the backyard.
After calming down, Rhea Azaan went back in, took her shower, took her breakfast and being ready for the trip to Helium Prime, a country at the north of Grematoria. The plane was already outside waiting.
Rhea Azaan walked into the plane together with few of her guards and her first hand man Hutson and the plane roared into the sky.
Finlay company...
Kiaan Tilden sat in his office making short notes while also reading the books he was given by Rhea Azaan. He looked as calm as ever in his simple black suit. Running his fingers through his hair, he smiled.
"So the appointment was such an achievement?" He said softly while roughening his son hair. His long lashes shook slightly.
"I think it is. After all if I die now, my eulogy will have that one significant step." He said to himself.
Apart from being simple and living a normal life, even one who saw him at first glance will really exclaim at his features. He was a god on his own. His skin was extra ordinarily soft. His hair was very shiny and his distant eyes were too black and shiny. He has a strong yet soft body. He was tall and carried a mysterious aura.
Even at times, Mr. Austin Finlay found himself wondering why his son was this mysterious. He seemed to be hiding something deep in him.
Though he didn't have guards or first hand man, he had Adriel. His most entrusted employee who manages the finance office.
Adriel walked in with files and stood next to Kiaan Tilden.
