Kidnapped part
"Kurmara!" A voice shouted towards the short haired girl as two blades pierced through her back. The villain removed the blades, leaving the teen to fall to her knees as she held the wounded areas. Just as he was about to strike again, ice came up in front of her to stop him. "Hayashi!" Another voice called as her classmates rushed over to her. "Shit, she's bleeding a lot. We have to get her to Aizawa, fast." "But we can't move her too much or else she'll lose too much blood." Todoroki spoke up. "She's losing so much already, we can't leave her here to die!" "If you can.. stop bickering for.. for a second, I have an idea..." Kurmara managed to say through the immense pain she was in, causing everyone to look at her. The teen then used her water Quirk on the wounded areas before motioning for one of them to help her. "Woah, how are you-" "Part of.. Quirk training..." She interrupted breathlessly as Sero and Kirishima helped Kurmara while everyone began to head back to the building, protecting Bakugou the entire way.
Kurmara fell to the ground, the pain and exhaustion finally catching up with her body. Just before she blacked out, there was a heartbreaking scream that echoed through the air.

She opened her eyes with a gasp as she woke from her sleep. She stared at her ceiling for a few moments before she sat up and put her head in her hands, catching her breath before looking over to her nightstand at the time. Seven sixteen.. I'm up too early... She thought with a sigh as she flopped onto her back. She raised both her hands and focused until her concentration was interrupted by a knock at her door. She sat up and voiced for them to come in, the door opening to reveal her roommate and friend, Kamie. "Hey, I was just coming to check on you after you came home last night. You were banged up pretty bad," she voiced with slight concern as she walked into the dark and cool room before sitting at the edge of the bed. "Yeah.. we got into it with a few thieves. It was supposed to just be a simple and normal patrol but it went south real quick because one of them panicked." She told her friend with a sigh, rubbing her head a little. "Well, are you alright? I mean, there weren't any other injuries?" "No. And even if there were, they would've been healed once I passed out.."
The woman in bed stretched before sliding out of it, standing up. "Besides, I'll be back out there today anyways, so it doesn't really matter." She then slid a shirt over her head before walking out of the room towards the front of the house, Kamie following not too far behind. "You know I only ask because I worry about your wellbeing." "I know. I have some free time since I woke up earlier than expected so we can hang out until you leave." She opened the fridge and looked through it before she grabbed an apple and sat at the table. "Actually, I have the day off today." "Really? That's good. I haven't had a day off in a few months." Kamie hesitated which made the woman sigh and look up at her friend. "What's wrong?" "It's- okay, so when you came home later than usual, completely injured, I was super worried.." The brown-haired woman voiced which made the other shake her head. "I'm alright now, aren't I?" "Yes, but-" "Kamie, I'm fine. I was fine last night and I am right now as we speak." She stood up and threw the apple core away. "Kurmara," the taller woman stopped the shorter one who let out another sigh.
"I just don't like seeing you too hurt. I get that you're a hero, but I just-" Kurmara lifted a hand and placed it on top of her worried friend's head with a small smile. "I'm fine. But if it worries you that much, I'll try to be more careful from now on. I don't need my only roommate to leave because I get too harmed during easy patrols." Kamie let out a breathy chuckle before nodding and putting her arm on Kurmara's head. "I won't leave you by yourself in this house. After all, who else would take me in?" "Yeah, yeah, now get off me." She playfully pushed her friend away only to be pushed in return. "Don't make me use my Quirk on you." The short woman teased only for the taller to stick her tongue out. "Which one, misses multi-Quirk?" "Hey, I hate that nickname." "You only hate it because Kaminari teased you with that," Kamie smirked which made Kurmara's face warm up. "You know how he is. Such a flirt..." "But you liked when he did. You can't lie about that." The brown and blonde-haired woman walked past the brown-haired one back towards her room. "Shut it.." "Come on Kurma, I'm only messing with you."
"I know, that's why I told you to shut it." Kurmara giggled as she began to close her door only for Kamie to push past and plop herself into the bed. "Get out, I need to get ready." "What's the issue? We're both women so it should be fine." She laid back on the bed. "I don't care, hurry out otherwise I'm going to use force." "I'd like to see you try. I get you're small and a bit thick, but you couldn't move me." Kamie chuckled as she closed her eyes. Kurmara stared at her friend for a few minutes before she walked over to her bed and picked her friend up over her head, walking towards the bedroom door. "Woah, hey, hey, wait a sec-" She set her friend on the floor in the hallway and used her wind Quirk to push her towards the living room before she closed her door, locking it behind her. As she began to put her outfit on, she heard her doorknob jiggle with a huff following after which made her chuckle. Once she was clothed, she left her room and walked towards the front door to put her shoes on until she heard Kamie speak up. "Hey, I have a question." "If it's about me getting injured I swear-" "No, it's not that, it's about something else because I'm curious about it."
She turned towards her friend, giving her attention to her. "Well.. uh.. when are you going to start dating again?" "Kamie," "Just hear me out real quick! Please." Kurmara let out a long, heavy sigh before crossing her arms and nodding once towards her. "Okay, so, I know you haven't dated since high school when you were with Kirishima, but I was wondering if you were to give that scene a chance again?" "What are you getting at?" "I was thinking of a few things in case you were planning to get out there again," Kamie had a small smile on her face which made Kurmara roll her eyes and shake her head. "Alright, let's hear it." "I was thinking maybe you could date one of the heroes you already know, but not one you've already dated in case you two are fine being friends or if they're already in a relationship, but you never know and-" "Alright, alright, stop." Kurmara laughed as she stopped her friend rambling. "Gods, you remind me so much of Deku." She took a breath as she giggled a little more. "So you're still in touch with them all?" "Of course, we were friends back at UA. Not to mention, a few of us work together occasionally."
"Then last night-" "Yes, I was with one of them. But I can't tell you who for now because I need to leave, so I'll tell you when I get home later tonight." Kurmara slipped her shoes on and began to walk out the front door only to be stopped by Kamie. "Remember what you said, Hayashi." "I know, I know. I don't need you getting butthurt and telling my brother. I may be a hero and an adult, but you'll be able to get him here asap." She giggled, her friend doing the same. "It's only because we care." Kamie hugged her friend before allowing her to leave. She stepped out into the sun, shielding her eyes before walking away from the house towards the agency where she worked.

The sound of beeping made her groan and slowly open her eyes, only for them to be engulfed with bright lights, making her let out a low hiss as her eyes adjusted. She opened them and looked around the area before slowly sitting up. She was in a hospital room, there was an IV in her arm and sounds of the staff walking outside in the hallways. She looked around before her eyes landed on her phone next to the bed on a table. Just as she was about to reach for it, the door opened, and standing in the doorway was her brother. "You're awake," he voiced as he walked over to her and she nodded. "Are you.. alright?" He asked carefully. "Yeah.. at least I think I am.." She responded, putting a hand on her head as she thought about the events that happened for her to end up where she currently was until she let out a gasp and leaned forward, causing Eun to put both hands on her shoulders. "What's wrong?" He queried as she began to breathe heavily at all the memories. "N.. no.." she whispered, her hand clutching her chest as tears began to form in her eyes. "Kurmara, please, I need you to calm down, alright?"
"B.. but Bakugou.. he's-" "I know, I know, but you need to calm down. You're in a hospital where there are other people, so I need you to make sure your emotions are under control right now." She reached her hand up and gripped her brother's arm as she tried to control her breathing as she remembered. Don't let it get the better of you... She thought, taking a slow breath as she heard her brother count until she finally sat up, resting her head on Eun's shoulder. "It's okay, you're okay." He whispered to her, patting her head before pulling away from her. "It all.. happened so fast... one moment he was there then..." "I know and I'm sorry that happened while you were supposed to be training." She sat back with a sad sigh as she stared at the wall, her eyes distant. He looked at his sister before tapping her shoulder. "Hey, I think I know something that will take your mind off it a bit," he voiced which made Kurmara look back at him, a brow raised. "What?" "Well, I saw a few high schoolers your age visiting some others that are here, one of them asked about you." Eun had a smile on his face as the teen tried to think of who would ask about her before one person came to mind.
"Kirishima?" She asked and her brother shrugged. "I didn't ask for his name, but I told him that I'd check on you first before he could see you so," he then stood up and walked to the door, sticking his head out to say a few words before looking back at his sister, Kirishima peeking around the corner which made Kurmara smile at him. "Kiri," "Heyy," the red-haired boy walked over to the hospital bed. "I'll be right back, I have to see when they'll let you leave." Eun voiced, leaving the two teens alone. Kurmara carefully moved a bit and patted the space next to her. "Uhm.. sit down.." She said and he looked at her as if to ask 'are you sure?' to which she nodded and he sat on the edge of the bed. They were silent for a moment until she spoke up. "How are you?" "Well, I'm doing just as much as anyone else. What about you? Despite being here?" He asked and she shrugged. "I'm not.. entirely sure..." She said honestly before it was silent for even longer. "You know, I don't like seeing your cute face all scratched up like this," Kirishima voiced which made her smile, her face warming up. "That.. sucked." She giggled which made him smile.
"Yeah.. it was kind of cheesy, huh?" "Totally." They laughed for a bit before letting out sighs. It was silent for a few minutes before Kurmara broke it. "You wanted to see me smile, huh?" She asked and he looked at her. "Uh, yeah.. maybe a little.." She noticed that his cheeks were a shade of pink which made her smile a little more. "Well, it worked." She looked down at her hands, her chest feeling fluttery and tight. "So, when do you get to leave?" Kirishima asked. "Ah, not sure actually. My brother already checked me out but the doctors want to look me over a final time before they let me leave." She responded and he nodded. "Hey, I can walk you home or to your brother once they allow you to leave." He offered. "I wouldn't mind that. After all, that kind of manliness would be nice." She smiled at him and the pink on his face deepened a little before he returned the smile. "Well, there's something I need to tell you as well before we exit the hospital.." He voiced which made Kurmara tilt her head. "What is it?" Before Kirishima could speak, the doctor walked into the room. "I'll tell you later, okay? Let them heal that pretty face." He winked at her and she smiled, feeling her face heat up again as he walked out of the room.

After the doctor had checked over Kurmara, she allowed the teen to leave. Once she had put the clothes her brother left for her on, she met Kirishima and the two of them walked through the hospital halls. "Soo.. what did you want to tell me? Should I be worried?" She queried and he made a little face. "Well.. probably. Just know once I tell you, you won't be able to change my mind about it." She stopped walking, him doing the same thing as he hesitated. "We plan on.. going to save Bakugou.." Kirishima voiced which made Kurmara stare at him for a moment. "What do you mean?" She queried. "I mean that me, Todoroki, maybe Momo, and Midoriya are going tonight to get him back." He responded and she looked down, not sure what to feel as she thought about what he said. "You guys.. you can't do that." She voiced as she looked back up at him. "I've already made up my mind. Everyone else doesn't think we should do this, but we have to a least try." He said and she let out a small sigh. "You said.. you're going tonight?" She asked and he breathed out, nodding. "Yes."
"You.." Kurmara lifted her hand and smacked Kirishima. "Idiot!" She glared at him, threatening to fight back the tears as well as her emotions. He looked back at her with sadness and pain in his eyes, but they weren't directed at her for hitting him and she knew that. "Don't.. be so reckless..." She looked down, the tears finally falling as she clenched her hands into fists as she tried to contain her emotions. Kirishima grabbed both her hands and she looked at him, noticing the soft look on his face. "I'm sorry.." he apologized which made the tears fall even more. "Then please.. don't go.." her voice quivered as she spoke but all he did was shake his head. "I have to.. I need to save my bro, otherwise, it isn't very manly of me." She could tell he was serious and there was nothing she could say to stop him. After all, their friend was kidnapped right in front of their eyes and they weren't able to do anything about it. "Just.. don't get hurt..." "It wouldn't be very manly of me if I went against that." He voiced with a half-smile and there was a sad pang in her heart. "Please, Kiri.." Kurmara hugged him, squeezing him and he returned the squeeze which turned her eyes into waterfalls.
They stood there in the embrace for a few minutes before slowly pulling away. "Come on, let's go." Kirishima voiced and she nodded as she followed him. "Once you get back, I have.. I have something important to tell you." She spoke up and he looked behind at her. "Something important? Can't you tell me now?" He queried and she shook her head before giving him a small smile. "No, it's something you have to hear once you have Bakugou back and are safe." She walked in front of him with the smile still on her face as she knew he'd have to come back without any injury. She needed to tell him and she needed him to come back to her. Dammit Kirishima.. why do you have to make it this difficult.. She thought as the two of them walked out to meet the rest of the group in front of the hospital.

Later that night when the Hayashi siblings got home, Kurmara went into her room and laid in her bed, looking through her phone at the pictures she had of her and her classmates. The pain she felt in her heart ached more and more which was beginning to cause her sorrow. "No... don't let your emotions get the better of you.. control it.." she whispered to herself as she wiped the tears but she couldn't help it, she needed to let it out - she needed to unleash the pain. Kurmara then cried, her Quirk producing the wave of sadness and anguish she was feeling that went throughout her entire room and the neighbourhood. She held one of her pillows close, the pain beginning to feel unbearable which then caused the wave to get stronger, making her brother rush into her room. "Kurmara, Kurmara calm down," Eun voiced softly as he sat his sobbing sister up. "I.. I could've helped.. but.." she managed to say in between sobs as she clung to her older brother who was crying from her Quirk. "It's alright.. I need you to focus on me though, okay? I need you to calm your Quirk." He patted her back and she took a deep, shaky breath as she tried to calm down her emotions.
After a couple of minutes, her Quirk ceased its painful and sorrow-filled wave. Be that as it may, the teen was still crying, the pain nevertheless deep within her heart, body, and soul at the thought of how helpless she was those mere two days ago. Her brother understood that and tried his best to console her, albeit unaware of how much it was eating her up. "He.. he was right there, Eun.. right in front of us..." Kurmara choked out and he looked down at her. "I.. we.. they.." "I know, I know. But there was nothing you could've done that wouldn't have landed you in his place." He patted her head as he held her close, wanting to take the immense pain she felt away, even if it was just a portion. "I can.. still hear Deku's scream.." She pulled away from her brother and his heart throbbed when he looked at her. Her hair was disheveled and her eyes were teary. "It was filled.. with agony and loss..." She voiced, biting her bottom lip to stop it from quivering. "It haunts me... I can't stop hearing it..." She put both hands on her head, lowering it as the scream echoed in her mind.
"I... I wish I could've done more... I could've made a difference.. but I just stood there..." Her words bubbled in her throat, making it hard for her to speak anymore so all she could do was let out choked sobs. It broke Eun's heart to see his sister this broken up about the events that took place during her training camp, but there wasn't anything he could do but try to ease the distress she felt. He then l ask d down next to her which caused the teen to look over at him. "W.. what.." "Lay down," he motioned for her to lay next to him on the place she was previously. "But-" "Just do it real quick." Kurmara sighed before resting next to her brother, feeling slightly awkward while also feeling like a child. "What does this remind you of?" Eun asked and she thought for a moment. "It reminds me of when we were kids and I had a bad nightmare." She responded. "Yes. I came into your room to see why you were crying so you wouldn't wake Mom and Dad." "And I was babbling because of how bad the nightmare was, but you still somehow understood me." She giggled, embarrassed at the memory of five-year-old her speaking incoherently.
"Well, do you remember what I did to help you stop crying?" She looked up at her brother, meeting his golden eyes before nodding. "Yeah, you wiped my tears and laid next to me all while telling me a funny yet weird story to help me fall back asleep." "And it worked, no?" He rolled to lay on his side as he put a hand on her head. "Sure, but the story wasn't what made me fall back asleep." Eun looked at her. "Really? Then what did?" Kurmara lifted a hand and poked his forehead. "You." "Me?" He had a confused looked on his face which made her giggle. "Yes, you. Sure, the story made the bad dream go away, but you being there next to me making sure I was alright made me feel better.. because you were right there for me." "Of course. I am your brother after all, which means I took a sacred vow." Kurmara snorted. "Sacred vow? And what was the vow?" "To be there for you whenever you need me to be, no matter what, as your big brother."
